Every recess, we see many of our
schoolmates throwing away plastic We thought of collecting bottles to
bottles indiscriminately. At first, we build a sculpture and the sculpture
thought nothing about it. However, can be placed in a prominent part of

the destructive effects of man’s reducing, reusing and recycling
actions on our planet earth, we plastic bottles. We also want to give
decided to embark on this project to a presentation to our P2 and P3
educate our younger schoolmates on friends about our cause and invite
the importance of being them to contribute bottles for our
environmentally friendly, especially sculpture. To make it more
in the usage of plastics. sustainable, we thought of having a
recycling bin for plastic bottles.
We called on a few recycling companies but they were not keen in providing us with
proper bins for throwing plastic bottles because they claimed that plastic bottles do
not bring in profit. We decided to work on our presentation and sculpture plans. The
slides are done but the presentation has yet been delivered because of mismatched
timings. Parts of a documentary will also be screened during our presentation. We
have collected many plastic bottles over many recesses and we are currently building
up part of our sculpture. We intend to give the P2s and P3s a sweet for every bottle
they donate, after which they will personally stick the bottle on our partially
completed sculpture and they get to see the completion progressively. Although we
could not implement our plans yet, we are not discouraged because we believe in our
worthy cause to make a positive difference. This competition gave us an opportunity
to work on something meaningful and winning it is not our main priority.
