–ed at their ends?
E: I watched this movie last night.
Well, some verbs don’t follow this rule, they
are called the Irregular verbs.

go to their past forms.
E: I go to the gym everyday.(present)
I went to the mall last weekend(past)

There are several Irregular verbs, bellow you
see the 10 most common.
Buy – Bought
Have – Had
Make – Made
See – Saw
Read – Read
Go – Went
Take – Took
Meet – Met
Do – Did
Write – Wrote
* The irregular verbs are used in those forms
only in affirmative statements, so:
E: I don’t have a car
I didn’t have piano classes this week.
Simple Past – Yes/No questions
Do you Remember how to make questions in
simple present?
E: DO you LIKE chocolate?
Simple past is similar, we just remove DO and use
DID in its place
E: Did you like the show you went last night?
A: Yes , I did!
No , I didn’t!
