AHET offers a unique anaerobic biodegradation process called AVR S-Disc that can efficiently treat wastewater with high suspended solids even in small reactor volumes. The process uses a venturi reactor and Huber S-Disc, a sludge thickener, to retain a high concentration of microorganisms. This allows for 80-90% reduction in biological oxygen demand. As an example, AHET installed an AVR S-Disc system for a dairy plant in Kolhapur, India that reduced chemical oxygen demand from 3500 ppm to 300-400 ppm. venturi reactor (AVR) that works well even at high mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) with the
help of HUBER S-Disc®
