In Poland, Christmas is celebrated by decorating houses with lights and Christmas trees, preparing a special Christmas Eve supper eaten when the first star appears, sharing wafer and wishing health and happiness. At Klaudia's school in Poland, the corridors and windows are decorated with handmade crafts and Christmas trees, making the school look beautiful. Klaudia asks Santa to help the parents of children at her school who work abroad to return to their families for Christmas, bring presents to the children who dream of toys, and restore health to the ill people in the region so that all the children can be happy and enjoy presents this Christmas.

1. Dear Santa !
I’ m writing to tell you how Christmas is celebrated in Poland and in my
school. First of all Polish people bedeck their houses with colourful lights and decorate their
Christmas trees. After that they prepare Christmas Eve supper. They start eating when the
first star appears. During the supper they share wafer and wish each other health and
happiness. At midnight they go to church on Christmas Mass. Then they celebrate for two
days. In my school we decorate corridors and windows with handmade crafts. We also decorate
the Christmas trees and our school looks beautiful.
At my school there are a lot of children whose parents work
abroad. I’m sure they want to be together at Christmas so help their parents come back to
their families, please. Lots of children dream about new toys so please bring them some nice
presents. In our region, as well as in the whole country, there are lots of ill people, so restore
them to health if you could. I hope every child will be happy at this Christmas and will enjoy
presents from you.
