Preschool Year 2
Dear Parents,
1 December to 17 December
Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 The children are preparing for the Christmas play by learning new songs,
actions and words. The nativity play will be on Thursday December 17 at
9.15 am. The play is for adults only please as we don’t want any younger
siblings to distract the children and prevent other parents from hearing
their child’s line. Grandparents and other family members though are
welcome to come along and see the play. The play will last for about 30
minutes and then you will be responsible for your child. Everyone is
welcome to stay for coffee and homemade mince pies in the Rainbow café
after the performance. We will break up for the Christmas holidays on this
date.
 The children have been enjoying the Christmas home in the role-play area.
This week it will be enhanced by a selection of fresh vegetables for the
children to ‘prepare’ for Christmas. We will also be making and eating a
Christmas cake with the children.
Activities to do at home
 This week your child will receive a blank Christmas card for you to make
with them at home. Please bring the card back into Preschool when it is
finished and we will display them all. This card will be your child’s
Christmas card to all their friends in preschool so there will be no need to
send out individual ones.
 You will receive a letter with your child’s part and words in the play.
Please practice their lines with them and bring them dressed up on the
morning on the 17 December at the normal time of 9.00 am.
Notices
 The preschool party will be on Wednesday 16 December. We will provide
all the food and fun! We will be having a puppet show and lots of lively
games. Party dress is optional.
