After having fixed the issues previously listed, I ran summary statistics to better understand the
population of mentees served by the Enhanced School Based Mentoring Program. Generally
speaking, the mentees were representative of a diverse group of school age students.
Demographics. In this program analysis, there were a total number of 62 mentees. Of the 62
mentees, as seen in the figure 1, more than half (60%) were of Hispanic descent. Similarly, 18% of
mentees were White, while the remaining 28% were either African American or grouped into a
category of other.
In addition, we observed the age group of the mentees, because the community wide initiative
seeks to improve the third grade reading proficiency of those enrolled in the program. As seen in
figure 2, there were a majority (35%) of 6 year olds represented. There were also a substantial
(32%) number of 7 year olds. Furthermore, there was a comparative population of males and
females. (Figure 3)
When analyzing the indicators of family make up, the general information provided showed that the
mentees could be categorized as at risk populations. As seen in the figure 4, when looking at the
educational attainment of the mother and father, majority of them had a high school diploma or less.

Sweatshops were first well known to the public eye when several major corporations exploitation of
workers were revealed during the late twentieth century. Sweatshops generally are factories that
provide workers with socially unacceptable working conditions, especially dealing with clothing
items. With the expanding apparel industries around the world, more and more corporations are
using sweatshop factories to their advantage. Numerous companies claim that they are not
responsible for actions of those factories from which they purchase from because it is not part of
their corporation. However, action needs to be taken by the government and individual
corporations to improve the working conditions in sweatshop factories. Due to the harsh working
environment, insufficient pay, and other factors that cause inhumane treatment of workers in

The importance of this to Dido s death is that she broke her vow on account that Aeneas was the
first man that she has loved since Sychaeus. However, this love is artificial because it is not her

veins, she questions herself and whether it will be worthy to love this man and break the vow.
Dido is responsible for her own death because she was unable to clear her mind and see the

A different argument for self identification comes from an old social norm developed during the
era of slavery known as the one drop rule. This rule states that a multiracial person is assigned to

fantasy to club that lethargic laggard between the eyes so he will understand what needs to get

Learning information has engaged and interested me throughout the courses I have taken; however,
the opportunity to discover new information through research is one of my most intellectually
stimulating experiences. With my goal to learn as much as possible under Dr. Nolan Kane, the
Professional Investigator of the CannabisGenomic Research Initiative (CGRI), I have expanded my
traditional bench lab experience to bioinformatics, hempbreeding, and leading designing and
performing my own project examining differential protein expression in Cannabis. Although I am
deeply fascinated by a four letter code that encodes the human body, I am also providing myself the
freedom within my research to learn about other organisms and genetic diseases that I hope to treat
within my career.
My longest ongoing project began in October 2014 under the guidance of Dr. Daniela Vergara, a
post doctoral researcher of the CGRI, who helped another undergraduate student and I begin to
troubleshoot a protocol for a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). The goal of this experiment was
to analyze variation between strains of Cannabis in a region of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
Synthase Gene that was amplified by another research team s primer set. The published protocol
was originally unsuccessful when attempting to be reproduced. My colleague and I had applied for
the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program Grant, which funded our research to determine a

which was very common in the Ionic order. Each column consists of the capital, shaft, and base,
which is analogous to the basic form of the Ionic order. The most important feature of the Ionic

level for the King and Queen as well as a gallery, and various passageways to the inner chambers.

Jewish Resistance To The Holocaust
There were hundreds of Jewish resistance groups throughout Europe from 1941 to 1943, but the
resistance of Warsaw Ghetto Jews was the most famous of that time. Summer of 1942 around
300,000 Jews were deported from the Warsaw Ghetto to a concentration camp called Treblinka.
Word of what was happening to the Jewsat the camp soon got back to Warsaw and it started a
rebellion group called the Z.O.B, which translates to Jewish Fighting Organization. This group told
the remaining Jews in the ghetto to resist going into the railroad cars and to join the group to fight.
January of 1943 the Z.O.B made their first attack against German troops whom were rounding up
Jews, they fired at them with smuggled and homemade weapons. After a few days the German
