The Shining Opening Title Credits
Brief description:
What do you see?
The opening scene of the title sequence shows a car driving along a winding country road from
a bird’s eye view. It shows it slowly getting deeper into the woodlands and follows the car from
above the trees. The titles then start to appear one at a time from the bottom of the screen to
the top.
Techniques used:
Animation, Visual Effects, Colour Rendering,
Graphics, Movement
The font of the actual titles are very basic and the technique used is called ‘rolling
titles’,(where the text appears at the bottom of the screen and works its way up to the top)
Advanced techniques:
Blur, Sharpen, Distortion, Rotation, Opacity
There are no advance techniques used in this title sequence, the sequence is very basic and is
the same throughout.
