We describe in this paper our participation in the product search task of LL4IR CLEF 2015 Lab. This task aims to evaluate, with living labs protective point of view,
the retrieval effectiveness over e-commerce search engines. During the online shopping process, users would search for interesting products and quickly access those that fit with their needs among a long tail of similar or closely related products. Our contribution addresses head queries that are frequently submitted on e-commerce Web sites. Head queries usually target featured products with several variations, accessories, and complementary products. We propose a probabilistic model for product search based on the intuition that descriptive fields and the category might fit with the query.
Finaly, we present results obtained during the second round of the product search task.

It is well known that the fundamental intellectual problems of information access are the production and consumption of information. In this paper, we investigate the use of social network of information producers (authors) within relations in data (co-authorship and citation) in order to improve the relevance of information access. Relevance is derived from the network by levraging the usual topical similarity between the query and the document with the target author’s authority. We explore various social network based measures for computing social information importance and show how this kind of contextual information can be incorporated within an information access model. We experiment with a collection issued from SIGIR proceedings and show that combining topical, author and citation based evidences can significantly improve retrieval access precision, measured in terms of mean reciprocal rank.

Synopsis: Cooperative information systems typically involve various entities in a collaborative process within a distributed environment. Blockchain technology offers a mechanism for automating such processes, even when only partial trust exists among participants. The data stored on the blockchain is replicated across all nodes in the network, ensuring accessibility to all participants. While this aspect facilitates traceability, integrity, and persistence, it poses challenges for adopting public blockchains in enterprise settings due to confidentiality issues. In this paper, we present a software tool named Control Access via Key Encryption (CAKE), designed to ensure data confidentiality in scenarios involving public blockchains. After outlining its core components and functionalities, we showcase the application of CAKE in the context of a real-world cyber-security project within the logistics domain.

RESPONSIBILITIES You are responsible for the optimal introduction of new products in new technologies and for the optimization of the yield of existing products, You analyse and interpret test results in order to improve the yield and quality and to reduce costs, As a Product Engineer, you are an investigator and inventor at the same time, You acquire an in depth technical knowledge of your products and like to investigate problems that occur in these products due to unknown marginalities or unexpected manufacturing variations, After digging into the problems and demonstrating the root cause, you come up with solutions requiring either product adaptions or manufacturing changes, As a real inventor, you manage to fine-tune your products, making them more stable, more reliable and cheaper, You work in a careful and very structured way to ensure first time right implementations, Due to the large multiplication effect of changes on products that are in volume production, your results are immediately visible in the cost-balance of the company, You will also be involved in the development of new technologies and products. During the prototyping phase you share your knowledge to ensure a good manufacturability and yield right from the beginning,

Being in a central position in the company, you will have a broad network, You'll have regular interaction with design, sales, marketing, test, quality & reliability, waferfab departments and of course the customer. REQUIREMENTS MSc or PhD in engineering, electronics engineering, preferably with a strong interest in circuit design and technology, Previous experience in design is an added value, Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant field, Capability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with proficient written and oral communications skills, Fluency in English is a must.
