The Southeast Asia Open Innovation Challenge (SEA OIC) brings together conglomerates and startups to collaborate on solutions. This questionnaire aims to identify problems within conglomerate departments that could be addressed through pilots with startups. Representatives are asked to describe their top three problems by outlining what each problem is, how it is currently managed, what prevents it from being solved, its business impact, and the department's willingness to commit to a pilot for solutions. Providing this information will help the SEA OIC craft targeted problem statements and arrange pilots between interested departments and suitable startups.

About the Southeast Asia Open Innovation Challenge (SEA OIC)
● The Southeast Asia Open Innovation Challenge (SEA OIC) brings togethersome of Southeast Asia’s
largest conglomerates to collaborate with innovative startups,scaleups and SMEs.
● The goal of the SEA OIC is to match your solutions with these conglomerates’ Challenge Statements.
Selected companies will have the opportunity to embark on 3 to 4 month pilots, where solutions may be
adapted into new features, targeted customer profiles, unique conditions and potentially, implemented
across the conglomerates’ presence throughout the region.
Objective of this questionnaire
● To gather insights into existing and emerging problems, from business units
● Subsequently,to craft problem statements for the representing SEA conglomerates
● In tandem, we require inputs on what types of resources the participating business units can commit to
conduct a pilot or proof-of-concept with a suitable startup(s)or SME(s) that can address the problem
statements generated.The resources could include manpower (e.g. Research Assistant,Project Manager),
POC funding, data, etc.
● This questionnaire is a guide to assist you to gatherinformation and is thus not exhaustive. Further inputs
and elaboration of the problems identified and shortlisted are welcome.
