This document proposes a large hydroelectric power project in Uganda that would generate 6,000-10,000 MW of power. It involves channeling water from Lake Victoria through a canal to Lake Albert, utilizing a 500m elevation drop. The canal would be 70m wide and 5m deep, offering potential for transportation, tourism, tidal power, irrigation, and flood mitigation. The project aims to ignite industrial development and meet the growing energy needs of East Africa through reliable and affordable power supply. Stands Engineers, the engineering firm proposing the project, is seeking funds to facilitate development up to the stage of government approval.
