1. TITLE: THE SHADOWS
INT. STUDIO FLOOR
An old woman’s hand begins to draw a circle on the black floor.
CUTS TO:
EXT. PARK- AFTERNOON
A young woman, DIANA, enters a park.
CUTS TO:
INT. DARK ROOM
VIOLA holds a matchbox in her hand and strikes a match against the box to lighten the dark room. She
walks towards a wooden table, where she lights up some candles next to a candelabra. She then throws
the matchbox on the dark purple tablecloth. On the table, there are some photographs, an old, wooden
box, a white rose and some candles.
CUTS TO:
INT. STUDIO FLOOR
VIOLA’S hand continues to draw the symbol.
CUTS TO:
INT. DARK ROOM
VIOLA returns to the table. She weakly places the book on the table, next to the white roses.
CUTS TO:
EXT. PARK- AFTERNOON
DIANA walks down an alley in the park.
CUTS TO:
INT. DARK ROOM
VIOLA’S hand slowly goes down the cover of the book, The Book of Shadows, then she opens it. The
first page has the witches’ symbol, Trinquetra. She pauses for a moment, then starts flicking through
the book. She stops at the page which has The Horned God.
2. INT. STUDIO FLOOR
VIOLA’S hand joins two lies while continuing to draw the symbol on the floor.
CUTS TO:
EXT. PARK- AFTERNOON
DIANA continues walking down the alley. She takes out a book entitled “Book of Shadows” and starts
looking through it. The book is the same as VIOLA’S.
CUTS TO:
INT. DARK ROOM
She reaches for a school photograph on the other side of the table. She looks at it for a moment.
Then she starts to slowly move her finger along the children faces. VIOLA then reaches for the second
school photograph and does the same.
CUTS TO:
INT. STUDIO FLOOR
VIOLA’S hand continues to draw the symbol.
CUTS TO:
EXT. PARK- AFTERNOON
DIANA stops at the page with The Horned God. It has blood on it.
CUTS TO:
INT. DARK ROOM
VIOLA stops at a page. The white rose rests there. That page has The Horned God drawn on it, with
some incantations. Suddenly, VIOLA starts to cough violently. Red drops start to drip down the page.
Then, she reaches over to a box on the table. She opens the lid. The box contains three photographs
of some girls. She takes the photos out and looks at them. They are placed on the book.
CUTS TO:
3. INT. STUDIO FLOOR
VIOLA’S hand continues to draw the symbol. She is dragging her hand among some tea candles which
are on the floor.
CUTS TO:
INT. DARK ROOM
VIOLA has an old snuffer in her hand. She puts it on top of the candles form the candelabra to
extinguish them.
A close-up of the page is shown.
CUTS TO:
INT. STUDIO FLOOR
The witch’s hand stops drawing. The symbol is slowly revealed to be a pentagram.
The bloody page in the book, with the white rose and the candles sit around the pentagram.
Suddenly, the candles are blown out and the page turns by itself.
