This document analyzes the generation of a 1.1 MWp single-axis solar tracker plant in Karnataka over one year. The plant used Canadian Solar panels and an ABB 1MW inverter. It generated 1.942 MW per MWp installed capacity in its first year of operation from November 2016, achieving a capacity utilization factor of around 21% on average. Single-axis trackers provided steady power generation throughout the day and reduced the impact of grid downtime compared to fixed-tilt systems.
