The conflict over segregation has been an issue since the Civil War. After the Civil War,
equality was slowed by many court cases and state laws. Separate but Equal was a term used to
demonstrate that white and black people were to be separated, but have the same facilities
available. Unfortunately, this was not always the case. The struggle to achieve equality was made
more difficult by the legislation of racism in the Plessy v. Ferguson case. Homer Plessy, a white
man living in Louisiana, was the subject of an important court case that set the stage for years of
struggle over Separate but Equal. His great grandmother was African American, therefore, even
though he looked white, he was classified as black. The Separate Car Act, enacted in 1890, stated
that whites and blacks had to be separated in different railroad cars. Plessy bought a ticket from

The theory of energy, order, and disorder/chaos can be applied to any and all aspects of life. This
essay focuses on applying this theory to specifically the U.S. military and when in war. The war
aspect in this application of energy, order and disorder will also include combat sports, as this
can also be seen as a form of warfare. Using research consisting of articles and the like, along with
interviews of those with firsthand experience, I hope to illustrate not only how the theory of
energy, order, and disorder is present in the United Statesmilitary and in warfare, but also how
these things are substantially more orderly than they are usually given credit for. Nonetheless, the

Summary: I read two articles for this assignment; one was from The New York Times and the
other from Fox News. The New York Times is a mainly liberal news site, while Fox News is

Fernandez and Hauser use many direct quotes from Ahmed Mohamed, Barack Obama, Josh
Earnest, Ahmed s father, and many others involved in this case. This source is very credible as
it is written by two authors, so it isn t hugely biased in anyway as it contains two individual
perspectives (however they are very similar perspectives). Because the story contains direct
quotes from different perspectives (i.e. the Irving police chief versus Josh Earnest) it shows the
whole story and not just one side of it. I initially chose this article only because I thought it was
such a pure and credible source. However I then decided to choose a source that was quite the
opposite so that I could obtain a better understanding of different perspective. The Fox News
article used many quotations from political figures and sources trying to condemn Ahmed. Some
of their quotes were very illogical and didn t have much to do with the situation. Former Alaska

Unethical behavior affects everyone around, the company, patients, and society.
How could the unethical behavior be avoided or resolved? Unethical behavior could have been
avoided by the researchers of Bayer s company. The researchers should have done further studies to
insure no person could die from their products. Also to insure healthy women would not become ill
from use of their products. Also, when patients started become ill and dying due to Yasmin and Yaz,
they should have pulled their product off the shelves. And left the birth control of the shelves till
critical research was done to prove Yasmin and Yaz was safe. Patients put their lives, health and
trust into doctors and pharmaceutical products thinking medicine is safe and helpful, not poison.
Ethics in business research is very crucial to a company. When businesses run without proper
business ethics, it could very detrimental to the company, individuals, and the society. The case
with Bayer and their pharmaceutical products Yasmin and Yaz many individuals were affected.
The most severe case was Michelle Pfleger death, which her family blames on the birth control
Yasmin. The company reputation was blemished, and a negative impact on their sales. The society
was affected by the scare of the patients that were also taking Yasmin or Yaz as a way of birth
