Children today are exposed extensively to various forms of media and are increasingly

Average time spent by children on TV / Internet is 2 hours a day. Average time spent on
quality learning in a day is less than 1 hour

= attention span of a child today in regular class is about 7-8 minutes
  The average

= computer based educational content available in the market is an extension of
  Most of the
  the textbook

  =
73% schools have audio - video facilities but they are not put to optimum use due to lack of
  quality and relevant content

  =
Next generation schools will focus on providing a multi-sensory learning experience

Source : Survey conducted in 500 schools across 30 cities with inputs from renowned child psychologists and data from the internet
The reality of how our children are growing today is very different from what it used to be. Bullying, fear,
pressures, stress, sexual predators, classroom violence have all taken over our children, and they have
more to deal with than our earlier generations ever did.

And when it comes to teaching our children about this new world, the need of the hour is a method of
communication through which we can talk to them in a language they can understand. Films today
have an unbelievable impact in society, indirectly educating & influencing thousands across the
country.

All this while keeping in mind, that schools today are often equipped with the technology to support this
type of learning – but unfortunately, are rarely able to source quality content for the same.

And that was how the idea of School Cinema was born...

School Cinema is a film-based learning module combined with a fun and exciting film workbook which
uses a language and medium that children are familiar with to subtly influence their minds and actions.
The films deal with the essential lessons of life like citizenship, national integration, life-skills, values
and morals.
