eTwinning project
„School as home“
School as home is an eTwinning project of High School Novska which
has been lead by teacher Gordana Divić. This project gathers students and
teachers from three Polish schools, two Romanian, one Turkish, one
Ukrainian and of course our school (where we represent Croatia).
Objective of the project is to do everything that we can to make school
look more like home, that is to become a place where students like to stay,
and to return because it makes them feel good and comfortable. The specific
objective is to transform library into a living room (for that we need to buy
a couch, TV and home cinema), also we want to make benches in school
halls (especially in the areas where students sit on stairs or cold halls
waiting for school hours to get started), paint classrooms, redecorate
curtains and decorate walls with graphics and appropriate posters. For all
mentioned we don't have enough financials, so we have decided to work on
handmade products for selling and thereby collecting money. So we have
made Advent wreaths, Christmas stockings and wickers, Christmas cookies
and ornaments and we had sold them on town square. That way we have
collected some 500€ (that is 3.505,00 HRK).
We are very much thankful to all our dear fellow citizens on their
donations and to company “Quercus” who have donated money for printing
posters of our project, and for buying a TV. And we are especially thankful
to parents who have been very cooperative.
