Enzymes are a protein that replicates a catalyst which helps chemical reactions
begin to move without the enzymes being changed in the process. Enzymes work to
complete only one task. But there are a variety of different enzymes in the body that
each one has their specific task to complete. Something that enzymes do is they are
used in making foods, used for digestion. Many of the chemical reactions in the body
have a bunch of energy in them when they happen, which means it can occur in a
faster amount of time. Enzymes speed up a reaction by lowering the activation energy

Learning is a very important aspect of humans and creatures alike. Not only is it
essential to the survival and adaption into this world but it also defines who we are
as individuals (Schiller et al, 2010; Tronson Taylor, 2007). Memories from past
experiences shape the people that we are today. A crucial element to learning is
memory, without it we would not be able to retain information. The process of
memory is very distinct and consists of several different stages: acquisition of
memory, consolidation, retrieval and then either reconsolidation or extinction
(Debiec Ledoux, 2004; Diergaarde, Schoffelmeer De Vries, 2008). As memory is
such a critical aspect of learning, it is no wonder that its distinct process has become
the topic of much research in the neurobiological universe (Hupbach et al, 2007;
Nader Hardt, 2009).
After a new memory is learnt, it enters the process of encoding during which the
memory is labile and capable of disruption until it becomes stabilised over a period

This essay discusses how five different environmental problems that occur in
Madagascar disturb the plants and animals living in the country. Environmental
problems include deforestation, agricultural fires, erosion, overexploitation of living
resources, and invasions of alien species. Unfortunately, as result of the
environmental problems, native species are losing their homes and are struggling to
survive. Fortunately, there are organizations where conservationists are working hard
to help save the animals from extinction.
When people think about Madagascar, images of beautiful, lush green rainforest,
warm, sandy beaches along crystal clear water and exotic animals come to mind.
Madagascar is a large island that is located in the Indian Ocean, just off the
southeastern coast of Africa. According to Africa Diversity and Development, the
population in 2009 was nineteen point five million people, many of which living on
less than two dollars a day (Binns, 2011). This landmass is home to an extraordinary

My First Vacation Trip
Over the summer, my family and I flew to Europe. Here is my crazy
misadventure... Two days after school ended, we packed our bags and left for the
airport. I was super excited to start this trip! We got on the plane, and our flight was
9 hours long (We also flew British Airways). That means I watched a lot of movies
during the flight. When we arrived in London for our layover, the pilot said that
we might be on the runway for a while. So 30 minutes later, he sent buses to come
pick us up and take us to the terminal. Once we arrived at the terminal, the airport
was packed. I had no idea what was happening, and neither did my family. We sat
down somewhere in the airport clueless on what to do. We asked everybody what
was happening and they either said, they can t tell us or they don t know. So my
dad and I went downstairs to stand in a line that we thought would help us. One
hour later, me and my dad got to the front of the line and we got no information. We
went back upstairs to meet my mom and sister. Then we all thought, we might
never see our checked bags again. At this point we didn t know what to do. Later
we found out there was a line to get out of the airport so we got in that line and
stood in the line for 3 hours. Once we got to the front of the line, they took us down
an elevator to go through British customs. We stood in that line for 4 hours. Once
