Letter To Mormons
I hope this letter finds you well, and that you can read my handwriting! I m writing this note to you for
two reasons that give me so much joy to tell you about.
The first reason explains why you are receiving this letter today and why there are other papers
included in this envelope. Currently, in my sophomore year at Biola, I have served as a leader in a
student ran ministry on campus called Evangelical Mormon interaction (EMI). As a leader I preach
weekly 45minute lessons on Mormon doctrine or culture, giving the Christian response to them, and I
ll lead prayer nights. Then, twice a year EMI goes to Utah! This January I ll be going to Utah for 2
weeks with the intention of engaging the local Mormon population and encouraging the small
minority Christians who live there as well. I m asking you to partner with me in ... Show more content

Aren t they Christian? My honest answer is no, Mormons follow a counterfeit Christ who can t save.
Mormons say that they have the complete, restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. But the Gospel and saving
power of Jesus needs no restoration, it was never broken. For Mormons to add to the Gospel actually
turns it in into something that stands in the face of, contrasting, the good news of Jesus. For Mormons
to truly follow Jesus they need to un restore their Gospel of Jesus.
The second thing I m writing you about is to let you know that this will not be my last time asking you
to partner with me in ministry. Throughout my 20s, I see myself going on many other missions trips
and taking on other ministries that could not pay well or at all all for the sake of the Jesus. Whenever
people donate to ministries it is common to not hear about how the trip went, what your money went
to, or what the next need is. I recognize this reality and want to counteract it. You all are a vital part of
what I do, in partnering with me in these ministries you should know how I m doing and what is

Charles Manson Compare And Contrast
Charles Manson early life was complicated with the fact that when Manson was born his mother was a
16 year old, unmarried, Manson s biological father was speculated to be Colonel Walker Scott though,
young lady name Kathleen Maddox and after such said birth Manson was already called Charles
Milles Maddox. At the age of 8 Manson was sent to a school called the National Training School for
Boys by his mother who he ran back to after run away from the school, but his mother wanted nothing
to do with him. Soon after Manson started living on the streets and lived by doing petty crimes that
would lead him to juvenile. By 1951, Manson was considered dangerous and a model prisoner in

(Florez). With this being said, this goal is similar to what Grenouille and Manson wanted, to be
remembered even after death. Grenouilles goal was to require the ultimate scent to be accepted by his
town or anywhere else he goes. Mansons goal was to let the world be shocked by the crimes that he
and his group committed. Perhaps that this trait does influence serial killers to kill freely, but when
doing such acts the question someone must ask is the murderer regret what they have done? If
someone has killed another person for a reason, for example self defense, then that is a common
murder to report, but in Grenouilles and Mansons case they did not report the murder because they felt
as though that killing the victim was necessary. Psychopaths tend to not feel any emotion that is
related to guilt... (Uncategorized). In Perfume the killings that Grenouille committed goes beyond of
what Manson has done up until both of their deaths. However, the reason why they killed in the first
place do compare because of their childhood with the way they were both raised and how society has
treated them. Although their stories before they became serial killers are similar, there is not anything
else to compare the two on because Grenouille was smart, sneaky, and worked by himself with each
kill when Manson on the other hand trusted individuals to kill with him and those same individuals
would later

Evaluation Of A Learning Organization
Organizations that strive to excel in aspects of innovation, competitiveness, and performance must
have clearly defined core values that are executed by specific learning disciplines (Senge, 2010).
Giesecke and McNeil (2004) stated, A learning organization is an organization skilled at creating,
acquiring, and transferring knowledge and at modifying its behavior to reflect new knowledge and
insights (p. 55). In the pursuit of defining specific practices that would produce an ideal learning
organization, Senge (2008) proposes five disciplines that include, ...systems thinking, mental models,
personal mastery, shared vision, and dialogue (p. 1). In this application paper I will analyze each of the
five disciplines discussed by Senge (2008) and discuss how they can be applied in an organization
such as the high school where I am currently teaching to address specific areas in need of
improvement. The high school where I currently teach consists of twenty four hundred students from
grades 10th through 12th. This school organization as many others is in the business of meeting
educational challenges in the midst of innovative times in a noble attempt to prepare students
academically for the demands of an ever changing and knowledge driven work environment. There
are several key factors that I observe in our school that have in some way hindered our progress in
becoming an ideal learning organization. First, our school depends on the collaborative and
communication processes

SOC 727: DEMOGRAPHIC ASPECTS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
THURSDAY, 8 MAY, 2008.
Abstract Human population over the past decades, have doubled, tripled and grown rapidly, thereby
affecting every aspect of man s existence. The paper examines the Demographic Transition Theory
which is used to explain the population movement or process of transition from high birth rates[ 0]
and high death rates[ 1] to low ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The theory has explained human population evolution relatively well in Europe and other highly
developed countries. Many developing countries have moved into stage 3. The major exceptions are
poor countries, mainly in sub Saharan Africa (Nigeria, Benin, Mali, Niger amongst others) and some
Middle Eastern[ 9] countries, which are poor or affected by government policy or civil strife, notably
Pakistan[ 10], Palestinian Territories[ 11], Yemen[ 12] and Afghanistan[ 13].

Origins of Demographic Transition Theory
The idea of DTT was first advanced by Warren Thompson[ 15] in 1929. He divided the world into
three major groups:
· Countries with rapidly declining birth and death rates, with fertility declining more rapidly than
mortality, resulting in a declining growth rate (Northern[ 16] and Western Europe[ 17], North
America[ 18] and Australasia[ 19])
· Countries with declining birth and death rates in certain socio economic strata, with the rate of
decline of the death rate higher than the decline in the birth rate (Central and Southern Europe)
· Countries with high birth rates but declining death rates (rest of the world)
Frank W. Notestein[ 20] developed this theory in 1945 and suggested that there was a relationship
between population change and industrial development. He suggested that with time, countries go
through a linear evolution from traditional,

Uston Advanced Plus
The Blackjack Uston Advanced Plus Minus System was popularized by Ken Uston. In 1981, the
blackjack Hall of famer released this card counting method to the public with help of his book entitled
Million Dollar Blackjack. When this book was published, multitudes of people learned the craft of
card counting; which help to lead to increased winnings.
Like any good method, this card counting method had a couple of glitches which lead to its down fall.
For one, the Uston Advanced Plus Minus System was only proficient in blackjack games that used one
or two decks. After Uston released his book in 1981, there were still an abundance of blackjack tables
that existed in a casino. But when many of these casinos learned of this card counting system, ... Show

Cards 3,4,5,6 and 7 have a numeric value of +1. The 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace are assigned a
value of 1.
As you see, in the Uston Advanced Plus Minus System five cards are esteemed at +1,five cards are
esteemed at 1, and three cards get a value of 0 and are not joined to the running count. This allows
things to be simple for the starting card counter in light of the fact that each card that is excluded can
be scratched off by the existence of another card. When this system is used in a blackjack game, the
player easily removes sets of cards that counteracts or voids each other. The cards that remain during a
round are added in with the running count.
Obviously, straightforwardness does not generally measure up to effectiveness. The Uston Advanced
Plus Minus system gives one of the most reduced edges to be discovered among card tallying

Chronic Heart Failure Case Study
With breathlessness and fatigue presenting as limiting symptoms of chronic Heart Failure (CHF) the
muscle hypothesis has proposed linking such symptoms with the peripheral skeletal muscle changes
found abnormal in patients with Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) becoming the source of signals affecting
cardiorespiratory control.
The aim of the present study was to test whether or not Low Frequency neuromuscular electrical
stimulation is able to safely correct exaggerated ergoreflex activity in thirty patients with advanced
heart failure patients with a mean (±SD) age 60.13(±5.60), thus improving their constant sense of
fatigue, increasing dyspnea and exercise intolerance and therefore might be used as treatment
alternative to exercise in such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The results of the study concerning the ventilatory variables of ergoreflex may be attributed to the
expected changes caused by the application of an eight week program of low frequency
neuromuscular stimulation such as an alteration of skeletal muscle fiber distribution, a more oxygen
uptake kinetics and decreased sympathetic hyperactivity.
The results of the study were also consistent with the results reached by Piepoli et al., 1996 trying to
correct ergoreflex hyperactivity and bring it closer to normal by performing six weeks of localized
forearm training by patients with symptomatic chronic Heart Failure7.
Piepoli s study provided clinical support that such localized training did not only increase the exercise
capacity of the trained forearm but also partially corrected the exaggerated responses to exercise via a
reduction of this reflex contribution. Responses to the abnormal ergoreflex of CHF patients were
partially reduced regarding ventilation by 57.6% without causing significant alterations in VO2 or
VCO2 which was expected due to the limited nature of training as the study only included the forearm
muscles.
In addition, the changes following LF NMES in the current study were consistent with the results of
the systematic review stated by Sillen et al. 2013 which reported that submitting patients to LF NMES
of the lower extremity muscles has shown marked changes in the skeletal muscle fiber composition5.
It was stated that the minimum of

Improper Pain Case Study Nursing
Pain
1. Asian cultures typically deal with pain differently than white, Anglo Saxon cultures. The Asian
culture is usually described as apathetic or stoic. They tend to decline pain medications or request very
little. Therefore Mrs. Wong who had a total hip replacement is experiencing the greater amount of
pain. Although, she is only taking over the counter Motrin and scaling her pain a 3 out of 10; she has
undoubtedly learned to keep her feelings to herself (D Amico Barbarito, 2016, Chapter 11).
2. First and foremost, pain is subjective, or whatever the patient says it is. It is their perception, and
not what any healthcare professional states it is for the patient. Two patients who have had the same
procedure can experience different levels ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pain is subjective. Its control should be a multifaceted approach. Pain medication can be used in
combination with complementary and alternative methods. One complementary or alternative
approach is the distraction technique. Distraction is focusing one s thoughts away from pain. It does
not take the pain away, it simply changes the focus to another topic or object. The focus can be as
simple as an inanimate object, music, games, or television shows. The goal is to become so engrossed
in that activity or concentrated on that object that the pain is in the background as opposed to the
forefront of one s thoughts. It is best to practice this technique when pain is not at its height. This will
allow proper mastering of the technique prior to pain escalation ( Segment 4: How can distraction be

The Historical Existence Of Jesus Essay
Introduction
Some scholars argue that evidence of Jesus of Nazareth s existence can only be found within the
writings of the New Testament. They believe that the New Testament is a biased and unreliable source
for the existence of Jesus. They therefore claim that Jesus did not exist. The historical existence of
Jesus is necessary to demonstrate the truth of Christianity. While Christian scholars do not discount
the reliability of the New Testament as a historical document, they are also able to point to other
historical documents and consider non Christian writings which support the existence of Jesus. In this
paper I will argue that Jesus the Nazarene was an actual, historical person and that this can be
demonstrated through extra Biblical resources.
Tacitus
Tacitus, perhaps the greatest Roman historian, provides us with an account of the fire of Rome.1 It is
within this account, recorded in The Annals, that Tacitus mentions Jesus. In chapters 38 through 45 of
Annals 15, Tacitus discusses how Nero implicated Christians as those responsible for the fire.
But neither human resourcefulness nor the emperor s largesse nor appeasement of the gods could stop
belief in the nasty rumor that an order had been given for the fire. To dispel the gossip Nero therefore
found culprits on whom he inflicted the most exotic punishments. These were people hated for their
shameful offences whom the common people called Christians. The man who gave them their name,
Christus, had been executed

Dr. Faustus And The Human Centipede
Throughout the media scientists have been depicted as men that are the villains, for example Lex
Luthor in Superman or Dr. Heiter in The Human Centipede although in literature they are often
depicted different, they are shown as the intellectuals as characters that have an answer for everything.
Christopher Marlowe play Doctor Faustus, conveys the opposite of a conventional scientist. This play
takes place in Germany, Dr. Faustus is bored and unsatisfied with the limits of the knowledge he
knows, so he looks for a new subject to learn. Logic, medicine, law and religion and none of them
intrigue him. He comes to fact that none of them are enough for him so he decides to take up a new
practice of necromancy. Dr. Faustus is a story of a man who sells his should to Lucifer to get

Ursula Le Guin s Nine Lives as a Feminist Statement
In the beginning of the 20th century, feminists movements started to arise, with the conviction of
vindicate women in the social arrengement of that time, in order to get the same opportunities as men.
Literature could not escape from this reality; as a result, women began to write about their situation.
Ursula Le Guin´s Nine Lives , published in the 1960´s, was one of the first attempts in science fiction
literature to adress the condition of women in the social arrengement. Nine Lives is set in Libra, a
rocky planet which is far away from Earth,in the outer space, and in a distant future. Owen Pough and
Alvaro Guillén Martín, the two main characters, are two astronauts in charge of exploring the planet

references to the thoughts, emotions or feelings of the female characters, totally opposed to the male
characters´s minds; the narrator has full access to their minds, indicating their thoughts, emotions, and
feelings. E.g.: Pugh was pleased. He had hoped Martin would want to go on working with him, but
neither of them was used to talking much about their feelings, and he hesitated to ask. By having
portrayed the female charactes in a superficial way, with no access to their minds from the narrator,
and the distant behaviour towards them from the male characters, Le Guin makes a clear allusion to
the subordination of women in the society. According to O. Neira (1981. p.84) La mayoría de los
papeles asignados culturalmente a la mujer están concebidos de modo que contrasten con la
superioridad del varón. (1). Mrs. Ursula criticizes this male chauvinist society arrengement.
Nonetheless, as with the previous point, Le Guin does not state her point directly, but, instead, she
recreates in the text the characteristics in which women lived in 1960´s American

Barbie Stereotypes
There have been several articles calling attention to the images children are exposed in cartoons, or
Disney productions, but what about the toys they play with? In the death grip of my two year old
sister, like many other young girls, lies a fairy princess Barbie doll. Barbie has been the toy of choice
for girls everywhere since her debut fifty years ago, representing the ideal girl with a perfect life to
match that can not be achieved. Barbie and other dolls alike negatively affect young girls causing
body image issues and low self esteem.
Since 1965, Barbie, and more recently, the Bratz line of dolls, have been the poster children for
beauty, despite their grotesquely disproportionate appearance. Barbie and Bratz dolls were meant to
represents average girls in their teen years tall, flowing hair and incredibly thin, a body image that is
not possible for every girl, though Mattel s slogan Barbie can be anything! And so can you! might
suggest otherwise. For the company to insist young girls compare themselves to the piece of plastic
that is a Barbie doll, is completely outrageous. Looking at the doll s physical appearance, it s clear that
a real person could never embody this image. Breaking down the doll s structure, there are feet readily
bent for high heels, long muscular legs and thin arms, not to mention the fact that the head of a Barbie
or Bratz doll exceeds the width of it s waist! To even begin to entertain this image is unrealistic. What

The Theory Of Batteries And Electrochemical Cells
In class I was introduced to the concepts of batteries and electrochemical cells. I am really interested
in batteries and how they work and what goes into making a battery. I was inspired to this experiment
mostly because I want to study electrical engineering in university and I wanted to find out the
chemistry behind the production of the electrical energy in batteries. During my reading, I found out
that the first battery was actually invented by Italian physicist Count Alessandro Volta and was
demonstrated to Napoleon Bonaparte in 1801. Constructed from alternating discs of zinc and copper
wit pieces of cardboard soaked in brine between the metals, this was the first battery that produced a
reliable steady current of electricity. The reason why this works is because, as I found out, batteries
use the process of redox reactions to create voltage. I also found out that the difference in reactivity
leads to the voltage that will be produced. Voltage is a measure of the amount of energy which each
coulomb of electrons can carry. The more readily a species loses electrons, the bigger the build of
potential energy and the higher the voltage. The reason why transition metals are used is because they
are very good conductors of electricity and they have seas of electrons so electrons can travel within
them fairly easily. There is a table that provides the results of experiments where these various
compartments are connected to a hydrogen electrode. It is known as the

The Canopic Jars from Albany Institute of History and Art come from the Dynasty 26 of Late Period
Ancient Egypt. In this time period, the jars were still used to store the viscera during mummification

Ancient Egyptians from the Old Kingdom through New Kingdom and later on Late Period or

professor. The female genital mutilation was done in an untidy environment, without anesthesia or
antiseptic; and to see it done with unsterilized and sharp tool like razor blades was disheartening.
Medically, some of the effects of female genital mutilation includes: severe pain, urinary
complications and/or dysfunction, shock, hemorrhage, infection, scarring, recurrent urinary infections,
retention of menses at menarche, vulval cysts, and pelvic inflammatory disease. Furthermore, a
woman who has been infibulated might require surgery during childbirth

Motivation by Commission Based Pay
Introduction:
In today s competitive environment, companies are constantly striving to survive and grow by pushing
their sales department to grow sales and in turn their bottom line. As a great motivational tool, most
companies that rely stronly on their sales force will use incentives contracting such as commission
based pay.
According to Washington (2009) , commisions are a form of variable pay by which staff earn a cut of
the income they create for their employer . As a result, the company directly links its perfomance to
those of its sales staff so that their income is dependent on the company s sucess.
According to Interest and Octaviani (2009), a selling agent has two direct tasks: (1) prospecting for
customers and (2) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author continues to argue that commissions are a great way to inject sales motivation into the
workforce ( Meyer, 2010) but too many companies fear that it will detract from customer service and
customer relationship. In fact, when a customer accepts a product or service that is offered through
aggresive selling, the customer satisfaction level actually improves because the firm was able to offer
a product or service, the customer did not know he/she needed it ( Meyer, 2010). Anticpating customer
wants and needs before they themselves are aware of it is the true key way in building an effective
sales force.
Caruth (2006) argues that by having a commission based pay, a company is able to motivate their sales
staff to exert more effort for every customer they try to service. That may not necerssrily mean it will
result in a closed sale as over aggresiveness can lead the customer to get frusrated and see the whole
experience in a negative way.
Nevertheless, it also benefits the company by improving their human resources prcatices in
recruitment. An organization that uses commission based pay is likely to attract results oriented sales
personnel who value a high earnings potential and the freedom of action that may come with it (
Caruth, 2006). As a result an organization can have a competotive advantage by using commission
based pay in recruiting top talent. Straight commission plans tend to quickly eliminate incompetent

Evolution Of Cad And Cam Technology Systems Essay
The high request for ceramic restorations in the posterior and anterior areas has focused on the
evolution of CAD and CAM technology systems. In the early 1980s Pioneered by Mörmann, the first
CAD/CAM system called Cerec System started the era of CAD/CAM in dentistry. (Mörmann, 2006)
The CAD/CAM technology was powered by the improvement of computing power and specific
recovery systems and milling machines. Therefore, to avoid traditionally digital systems offer the
opportunity and analogue impressions giving patient support and effective workflow. The CAD/CAM
systems are used in dental applications usually contain three components: 1. There is a digital scanner
that changes the geometry into digital information that can be prepared by the computer. 2. Software
that processes information and, depending on the application, produces an information set for the
product to be created. 3. A production technology that converts the data set into the favourite product.
(Shenoy and Prabhu, 2015) Computer Aided Design To produce 2D or 3D graphical pictures of the
objects CAD is the best computer applications to use. CAD is more used to design the products in a
varied range of industries, where the software performs controls for defining the best structure and
size for a diversity of product and manufacturing design applications. The scanned documents are
converted into the Stereolithography format. The CAD software converts the implicit model into a

Music Programs In Schools Essay
As parents influence their child s ability to be in music programs at schools, a child is developing
experience and new views within the arts program. In research, based in London, Sarazin observes a
program based for the purpose to improve the student s skill sets in certain areas. Although the
program did not improve the children s skill of teamwork and self discipline it shows educators and
parents their child s view in their eyes. Sarazin interviewed students such as Michael, So, my opinion
is that Claudia should be stricter (Sarazin, 2017, p. 10). Another student who is not allowed to take his

Whether the children who are involved in the music program grow up to become a parent or continue
their interest and turn it into a career. Seeing how music affects children, positively and negatively,
allows adults to see the best solution for lacking music programs. Although you must ask, Is the lack
of music programs a good thing? Avoiding the negative experience, such as the children s experience
in London, in paragraph 4, allows educators to understand the view that maybe the music program is
the issue, as well as our own teaching methods or skill levels. Having music programs obviously
expands a child s abilities in other cases, such as the children in juvenile centers, but what is the
solution? Should music programs be important, or do they not matter? As most parents agree a child s
interests are important, as well as being able to explore and find themselves. Music programs allow
students to explore a new side, that not only fulfills their interest, but develops social skills. As parents
raise their children supporting their interests and future, educators in music help push along the skills
each child is developing. Whether the government provides arts rich music programs in a school
determines how much these children can explore music, while staying busy instead of in

Bind them, Torture them, Kill them or BTK for short. That was the moniker that convicted Serial
Killer Dennis Rader went by in Wichita Kansas. Most neighbors described him as Just a Regular

Video Games And The Era Of Technology
Video games have been a favorite pass time for Americans and people all over the world for many
centuries. I have always loved video games ever since I was introduced to the Nintendo 64 when I was
a little girl. I found Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong very addicting when I began playing it.
However, a new level of game addiction has been introduced into the era of technology. Games on our
phones have been a new popularity in recent years. Usually when I hear the words video game, I think
of a console, like the Wii or PlayStation. I don t consider games that are on the app store like Flappy
Bird or Temple Run a legitimate video game. Even though they don t fall under that category, these
games are downloaded over a million times. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I played Angry Birds myself and found the game to be very addictive and fun. I remember playing it
consistently for about two weeks. I didn t play the game for five minutes at a time; I played for about
2 hours trying to pass as many levels as I could in one session. Angry Birds was an activity that took
time away from other things that needed to be done and was less and activity in [my] day than a blank
space in [my] day, (Anderson 66). Anderson argues that a phone like the iPhone became a legitimate
game console because of all the games available from the app store (Anderson 67). However, the
downside to a phone being a game console is that, it responds not to the fast twitch button combos...
but to more intuitive and intimate motion: poking, pinching, tapping, tickling, (Anderson 67). A
shooter game would not seem to work on a phone, which does not make it a game console in my
opinion. This type of game attracts the type of person who is not a high level gamer and would like a
game that does not cost a lot of money and strategy to play. Some people argue that these little
minisystems are better because they do not have the distraction of narrative, (Anderson 67). Besides
being a mini game that people like because of no narrative, stupid games have been said to be an
answer to humanity s problems, (Anderson 67).

Themes of Sexism in Cleopatra and Plutarch s The Life of...
Similar to the 1963 film Cleopatra, in Plutarch s The Life of Antony, sexism is maintained in the
passage and compatible with its message. Through the author s portrayal of Cleopatra and Antony, he
spreads the message that obsession with power is bad and the idea that manipulation and attempts at
domination are signs of a bad ruler. Sexism is compatible with such messages because as indicated by
Plutarch, Cleopatra utilizes sexist expectations of women in order to manipulate Antony through her
aspirations of domination. Therefore, similar to the films Cleopatra and Quo Vadis, because Cleopatra
is unsuccessful as she commits suicide in the end and is found lying dead upon a golden couch, as
well as is portrayed as an immoral ruler in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Such statements make readers question whether Cleopatra had ever even loved Caesar or Antony or
whether it was fake in order to get power. After reading Plutarch Life of Antony, I began to view
Cleopatra as a manipulative character. Even the statements that some could take as compliments
towards Cleopatra, to me, were insults by the author. For example, when the author states there was
sweetness also in the tones of her voice; and her tongue, like an instrument of many strings, she could
readily turn to whatever language she pleased, so that in her interviews with Barbarians she very
seldom had need of an interpreter, but made her replies to most of them herself and unassisted,
whether they ere Ethiopians, Troglodytes, Hebrews, Arabians, Syrians, Medes or Parthians. Nay, it is
said that she knew the speech of many other peoples also, although the kings of Egypt before her had
not even made an effort to learn the native language, and some actually gave up their Macedonian
dialect. (Plutarch, Life of Antony, 27) Although, it appears as though the author is complimenting
Cleopatra, to me, the author is simply pointing out language as one of her manipulative techniques.
Plutarch appears to blame Cleopatra for Antony s weakness as well when he mentions how she served
as a distraction for Antony for he became fearful lest Cleopatra should throw away her life, and went
back to Alexandria, putting off the Mede until the summer season, although Parthia was

Dachau Concentration Camp Research Paper
Every action, every goal, every process, and every marathon all start with the initial first step. The
beginning to any long journey is fundamental to laying the groundwork for what is to come. Not only
does the first piece mold the integrity and face of the whole system, but without the first step, the
campaign would have no where to begin. During the early 1930s, a new era of war and genocide
would be born when the National Socialist German Workers Party, otherwise known as the Nazis,
came into power under Adolf Hitler. This time period would be marked by the mass extermination of
Jews and other political enemies of the Nazis, in an overall effort to create the perfect race. Under the

The entrance gate read, Arbeit Macht Frei meaning Work will set you free (Winstone 119). This Nazi
ideology and propaganda would be repeated in future concentration camps following its appearance at
Dachau. The camp was completely secluded from any social, real world interactions, and inside its
confined borders the only known aspects of life were agony, suffering, death, and above all else, work.
Dachau intended for obedient and submissive labor to be implemented into the heads of the prisoners
through a persistent system of propaganda. Dachau was originally an abandoned ammunitions factory,
and for this reason it was a targeted location to set up operations (Encyclopedia of the Holocaust 341).
Furthermore, this armaments industry quickly became vital to the operation of the Nazi army, seeing
that the ammunition and weapons the prisoners could produce was unprecedented. The cost of labor
was also exceptionally low as the only thing needed to be paid for was the prisoner s feeble rations.
Apart from weapons and ammunitions manufacturing, other labor consisted of the management of the
camp which was completely prisoner run. Workshops were established throughout the camp, and
prisoners worked as required by the supervising Schutzstaffel, or SS police organization
(Encyclopedia of the Holocaust 341). However workshops and armaments were among the easier type

Final Draft The War between the two major drug cartels in Mexico, Los Zetas and the Sinaloa Drug
Cartel, has exploded to new extremes and is now affecting multiple countries. There are multiple
cartels in Mexico who control certain sections of the country, but all have aligned with one or the
other of the two Goliaths. This war started over the drug routes stemming from southern Mexico to the
United States of America. The Sinaloa Cartel has controlled these routes for many decades; however,

as Los Zetas, and are currently in war with both the Sinaloa Cartel and the Mexican government.
United States of America has no reason to get involved in a war that does not concern this country.
The bottom line is that the Mexican Drug Cartel war doesn t concern the U.S. because it is not this
country s problem. The United States of America is the main consumer of the drugs being trafficked
by these to two Cartels, which makes it OUR problem, and yet no real action has been taken to stop
these events. [Obama obsess about Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, and virtually every development in the

Nuclear power plants should be legal in Australian as they pose many advantages. Such as high money

Compare Qualitative And Pragmatic Approach
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to compare qualitative and quantitative approaches to research
investigation in social science. After further examination of the relevant literature, a pragmatic
approach has also been taken into consideration within this paper. I will discuss in detail about human
perception and assumption and the impact that this can have on research investigation. I will critically
discuss and compare the epistemological differences of quantitative and qualitative research
approaches with an additional focus on a mixed method approach. I will consider the strengths and
weaknesses of the three approaches, the differences in the research design and methodologies and
present a logical academic argument to detail my understanding. ... Show more content on

Creswell (2003) refers to paradigms as worldviews which he believes to have four elements; post
positivism, constructivism, transformative and pragmatic. Guba (1998) refers to positivism as a
separate entity from other paradigms such as post positivism and constructivism. Tashakkori and
Teddlie (1998) talk about those paradigms discussed by Guba with an addition of pragmatism and
(Shadish, 1995) talks about the concept of logical positivism . Bryman (2004) refers to positivism and
interpretivism and differentiates these from its variations; phenomenology and symbolic
interactionism. To clarify and make myself feel slightly better Morgan (2007) explains that social
scientists can talk about paradigms and each easily mean something entirely different. Morgan talks
about four versions each version treating paradigms as shared belief system influencing the knowledge
that researchers seek. He uses this concept of a paradigm as his main basis for discussion within his
document. (Scotland, 2012) explains that different paradigms consist of differing ontological and
epistemological views and therefore present differing assumptions of reality and knowledge which is
embedded within their research approach. Kuhn (1970) details paradigms as epistemological stances
which influences how research questions are

Hell s Angels Counterculture
Before the 1960 s people saw bikers as little more than motorized hippies (336). On December 6,
1969, at the Altamont Speedway concert hosted by the Rolling Stones, the last event occurred showing
how the Hell s Angels have always been opposite of the counterculture with the murder of eighteen
year old black man, Meredith Hunter. Even Though the murder happened because of self defense, it
signaled the end of the love affair the American counterculture had with the Hell s Angels. In Hell s

The person who created them to be technocrats is Ralph Sonny Barger, an 18 year old kid who loved
military regimentation and order and was determined to turn the Hell s Angels into a paramilitary
organization. Barger took over president of the Oakland Hell s Angels in 1958. He transformed the
club in many ways. The Hell s Angels held meetings weekly discussing new rules, induction of new

Factors That Determine The Success Of An Entrepreneur

I will be talking to professionals, people who know what they are talking about. I would also watch

determination counts in the success of an entrepreneur. I will also be asking the same question to

The Controversy Of Celebrating Christmas
Holidays are overrated. They are days made up by large retailers to prompt you to spend more money
on items that you don t need. Think about it, how much money have you spent on all the decorations
and gifts in your lifetime? If all the holidays ceased to exist, people wouldn t have to fret about
working overtime just to save up for all of the Christmas gifts or if they have enough money to buy
dye for the eggs during Easter (Participial Phrase). Who needs a nine foot tall pine tree in their living
room? What family needs to eat a whole turkey in the matter of hours? (Rhetorical Question)

stay with you for a period of time. Or the stress of trying to determine how in the world you are going

decreasing your time to buy these gifts, all leading to even more stress. There is enough stress in a
person s life on a normal day. Adding all of the stress of these pointless holidays can be eliminated if
the holidays are eradicated. Without holidays we would have more days to work, less family bonding
and five day straight work weeks, every week of the year. What more could a person ask for? Stress,

  • 2. Letter To Mormons I hope this letter finds you well, and that you can read my handwriting! I m writing this note to you for two reasons that give me so much joy to tell you about. The first reason explains why you are receiving this letter today and why there are other papers included in this envelope. Currently, in my sophomore year at Biola, I have served as a leader in a student ran ministry on campus called Evangelical Mormon interaction (EMI). As a leader I preach weekly 45minute lessons on Mormon doctrine or culture, giving the Christian response to them, and I ll lead prayer nights. Then, twice a year EMI goes to Utah! This January I ll be going to Utah for 2 weeks with the intention of engaging the local Mormon population and encouraging the small minority Christians who live there as well. I m asking you to partner with me in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Aren t they Christian? My honest answer is no, Mormons follow a counterfeit Christ who can t save. Mormons say that they have the complete, restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. But the Gospel and saving power of Jesus needs no restoration, it was never broken. For Mormons to add to the Gospel actually turns it in into something that stands in the face of, contrasting, the good news of Jesus. For Mormons to truly follow Jesus they need to un restore their Gospel of Jesus. The second thing I m writing you about is to let you know that this will not be my last time asking you to partner with me in ministry. Throughout my 20s, I see myself going on many other missions trips and taking on other ministries that could not pay well or at all all for the sake of the Jesus. Whenever people donate to ministries it is common to not hear about how the trip went, what your money went to, or what the next need is. I recognize this reality and want to counteract it. You all are a vital part of what I do, in partnering with me in these ministries you should know how I m doing and what is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Charles Manson Compare And Contrast Charles Manson early life was complicated with the fact that when Manson was born his mother was a 16 year old, unmarried, Manson s biological father was speculated to be Colonel Walker Scott though, young lady name Kathleen Maddox and after such said birth Manson was already called Charles Milles Maddox. At the age of 8 Manson was sent to a school called the National Training School for Boys by his mother who he ran back to after run away from the school, but his mother wanted nothing to do with him. Soon after Manson started living on the streets and lived by doing petty crimes that would lead him to juvenile. With this being said, this goal is similar to what Grenouille and Manson wanted, to be remembered even after death. Grenouilles goal was to require the ultimate scent to be accepted by his town or anywhere else he goes. Mansons goal was to let the world be shocked by the crimes that he and his group committed. Perhaps that this trait does influence serial killers to kill freely, but when doing such acts the question someone must ask is the murderer regret what they have done? If someone has killed another person for a reason, for example self defense, then that is a common murder to report, but in Grenouilles and Mansons case they did not report the murder because they felt as though that killing the victim was necessary. Psychopaths tend to not feel any emotion that is related to guilt... (Uncategorized). In Perfume the killings that Grenouille committed goes beyond of what Manson has done up until both of their deaths. However, the reason why they killed in the first place do compare because of their childhood with the way they were both raised and how society has treated them. Although their stories before they became serial killers are similar, there is not anything else to compare the two on because Grenouille was smart, sneaky, and worked by himself with each kill when Manson on the other hand trusted individuals to kill with him and those same individuals would later ... Evaluation Of A Learning Organization Organizations that strive to excel in aspects of innovation, competitiveness, and performance must have clearly defined core values that are executed by specific learning disciplines (Senge, 2010). Giesecke and McNeil (2004) stated, A learning organization is an organization skilled at creating, acquiring, and transferring knowledge and at modifying its behavior to reflect new knowledge and insights (p. 55). In the pursuit of defining specific practices that would produce an ideal learning organization, Senge (2008) proposes five disciplines that include, ...systems thinking, mental models, personal mastery, shared vision, and dialogue (p. 1). In this application paper I will analyze each of the five disciplines discussed by Senge (2008) and discuss how they can be applied in an organization such as the high school where I am currently teaching to address specific areas in need of improvement. The high school where I currently teach consists of twenty four hundred students from grades 10th through 12th. This school organization as many others is in the business of meeting educational challenges in the midst of innovative times in a noble attempt to prepare students academically for the demands of an ever changing and knowledge driven work environment. There are several key factors that I observe in our school that have in some way hindered our progress in becoming an ideal learning organization. First, our school depends on the collaborative and communication processes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Like any good method, this card counting method had a couple of glitches which lead to its down fall. For one, the Uston Advanced Plus Minus System was only proficient in blackjack games that used one or two decks. This allows things to be simple for the starting card counter in light of the fact that each card that is excluded can be scratched off by the existence of another card. When this system is used in a blackjack game, the player easily removes sets of cards that counteracts or voids each other. The cards that remain during a round are added in with the running count. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The results of the study concerning the ventilatory variables of ergoreflex may be attributed to the expected changes caused by the application of an eight week program of low frequency neuromuscular stimulation such as an alteration of skeletal muscle fiber distribution, a more oxygen uptake kinetics and decreased sympathetic hyperactivity. The results of the study were also consistent with the results reached by Piepoli et al., 1996 trying to correct ergoreflex hyperactivity and bring it closer to normal by performing six weeks of localized forearm training by patients with symptomatic chronic Heart Failure7. Piepoli s study provided clinical support that such localized training did not only increase the exercise capacity of the trained forearm but also partially corrected the exaggerated responses to exercise via a reduction of this reflex contribution. Responses to the abnormal ergoreflex of CHF patients were partially reduced regarding ventilation by 57.6% without causing significant alterations in VO2 or VCO2 which was expected due to the limited nature of training as the study only included the forearm muscles. In addition, the changes following LF NMES in the current study were consistent with the results of the systematic review stated by Sillen et al. 2013 which reported that submitting patients to LF NMES of the lower extremity muscles has shown marked changes in the skeletal muscle fiber composition5. • 11. The Historical Existence Of Jesus Essay Introduction Some scholars argue that evidence of Jesus of Nazareth s existence can only be found within the writings of the New Testament. They believe that the New Testament is a biased and unreliable source for the existence of Jesus. They therefore claim that Jesus did not exist. The historical existence of Jesus is necessary to demonstrate the truth of Christianity. While Christian scholars do not discount the reliability of the New Testament as a historical document, they are also able to point to other historical documents and consider non Christian writings which support the existence of Jesus. In this paper I will argue that Jesus the Nazarene was an actual, historical person and that this can be demonstrated through extra Biblical resources. Tacitus Tacitus, perhaps the greatest Roman historian, provides us with an account of the fire of Rome.1 It is within this account, recorded in The Annals, that Tacitus mentions Jesus. In chapters 38 through 45 of Annals 15, Tacitus discusses how Nero implicated Christians as those responsible for the fire. But neither human resourcefulness nor the emperor s largesse nor appeasement of the gods could stop belief in the nasty rumor that an order had been given for the fire. To dispel the gossip Nero therefore found culprits on whom he inflicted the most exotic punishments. These were people hated for their shameful offences whom the common people called Christians. By having portrayed the female charactes in a superficial way, with no access to their minds from the narrator, and the distant behaviour towards them from the male characters, Le Guin makes a clear allusion to the subordination of women in the society. • 17. Barbie Stereotypes There have been several articles calling attention to the images children are exposed in cartoons, or Disney productions, but what about the toys they play with? In the death grip of my two year old sister, like many other young girls, lies a fairy princess Barbie doll. Barbie has been the toy of choice for girls everywhere since her debut fifty years ago, representing the ideal girl with a perfect life to match that can not be achieved. Barbie and other dolls alike negatively affect young girls causing body image issues and low self esteem. Since 1965, Barbie, and more recently, the Bratz line of dolls, have been the poster children for beauty, despite their grotesquely disproportionate appearance. Barbie and Bratz dolls were meant to represents average girls in their teen years tall, flowing hair and incredibly thin, a body image that is not possible for every girl, though Mattel s slogan Barbie can be anything! And so can you! might suggest otherwise. For the company to insist young girls compare themselves to the piece of plastic that is a Barbie doll, is completely outrageous. Looking at the doll s physical appearance, it s clear that a real person could never embody this image. • 18. The Theory Of Batteries And Electrochemical Cells In class I was introduced to the concepts of batteries and electrochemical cells. I am really interested in batteries and how they work and what goes into making a battery. I was inspired to this experiment mostly because I want to study electrical engineering in university and I wanted to find out the chemistry behind the production of the electrical energy in batteries. During my reading, I found out that the first battery was actually invented by Italian physicist Count Alessandro Volta and was demonstrated to Napoleon Bonaparte in 1801. Constructed from alternating discs of zinc and copper wit pieces of cardboard soaked in brine between the metals, this was the first battery that produced a reliable steady current of electricity. The reason why this works is because, as I found out, batteries use the process of redox reactions to create voltage. I also found out that the difference in reactivity leads to the voltage that will be produced. Voltage is a measure of the amount of energy which each coulomb of electrons can carry. The more readily a species loses electrons, the bigger the build of potential energy and the higher the voltage. The reason why transition metals are used is because they are very good conductors of electricity and they have seas of electrons so electrons can travel within them fairly easily. There is a table that provides the results of experiments where these various compartments are connected to a hydrogen electrode. It is known as the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Motivation by Commission Based Pay Introduction: In today s competitive environment, companies are constantly striving to survive and grow by pushing their sales department to grow sales and in turn their bottom line. As a great motivational tool, most companies that rely stronly on their sales force will use incentives contracting such as commission based pay. According to Washington (2009) , commisions are a form of variable pay by which staff earn a cut of the income they create for their employer . As a result, the company directly links its perfomance to those of its sales staff so that their income is dependent on the company s sucess. The author continues to argue that commissions are a great way to inject sales motivation into the workforce ( Meyer, 2010) but too many companies fear that it will detract from customer service and customer relationship. In fact, when a customer accepts a product or service that is offered through aggresive selling, the customer satisfaction level actually improves because the firm was able to offer a product or service, the customer did not know he/she needed it ( Meyer, 2010). Anticpating customer wants and needs before they themselves are aware of it is the true key way in building an effective sales force. Caruth (2006) argues that by having a commission based pay, a company is able to motivate their sales staff to exert more effort for every customer they try to service. That may not necerssrily mean it will result in a closed sale as over aggresiveness can lead the customer to get frusrated and see the whole experience in a negative way. Nevertheless, it also benefits the company by improving their human resources prcatices in recruitment. An organization that uses commission based pay is likely to attract results oriented sales personnel who value a high earnings potential and the freedom of action that may come with it ( Caruth, 2006). As a result an organization can have a competotive advantage by using commission based pay in recruiting top talent. Straight commission plans tend to quickly eliminate incompetent sales ... Avoiding the negative experience, such as the children s experience in London, in paragraph 4, allows educators to understand the view that maybe the music program is the issue, as well as our own teaching methods or skill levels. Having music programs obviously expands a child s abilities in other cases, such as the children in juvenile centers, but what is the solution? Should music programs be important, or do they not matter? As most parents agree a child s interests are important, as well as being able to explore and find themselves. Music programs allow students to explore a new side, that not only fulfills their interest, but develops social skills. As parents raise their children supporting their interests and future, educators in music help push along the skills each child is developing. However, a new level of game addiction has been introduced into the era of technology. Games on our phones have been a new popularity in recent years. Usually when I hear the words video game, I think of a console, like the Wii or PlayStation. I don t consider games that are on the app store like Flappy Bird or Temple Run a legitimate video game. Angry Birds was an activity that took time away from other things that needed to be done and was less and activity in [my] day than a blank space in [my] day, (Anderson 66). Anderson argues that a phone like the iPhone became a legitimate game console because of all the games available from the app store (Anderson 67). However, the downside to a phone being a game console is that, it responds not to the fast twitch button combos... but to more intuitive and intimate motion: poking, pinching, tapping, tickling, (Anderson 67). A shooter game would not seem to work on a phone, which does not make it a game console in my opinion. This type of game attracts the type of person who is not a high level gamer and would like a game that does not cost a lot of money and strategy to play. Some people argue that these little minisystems are better because they do not have the distraction of narrative, (Anderson 67). After reading Plutarch Life of Antony, I began to view Cleopatra as a manipulative character. Even the statements that some could take as compliments towards Cleopatra, to me, were insults by the author. For example, when the author states there was sweetness also in the tones of her voice; and her tongue, like an instrument of many strings, she could readily turn to whatever language she pleased, so that in her interviews with Barbarians she very seldom had need of an interpreter, but made her replies to most of them herself and unassisted, whether they ere Ethiopians, Troglodytes, Hebrews, Arabians, Syrians, Medes or Parthians. Nay, it is said that she knew the speech of many other peoples also, although the kings of Egypt before her had not even made an effort to learn the native language, and some actually gave up their Macedonian dialect. Dachau was originally an abandoned ammunitions factory, and for this reason it was a targeted location to set up operations (Encyclopedia of the Holocaust 341).
