I have 14 years of experience in Sales and Service. In my current assignment, I am the Franchise Retail Head for
Karnataka (GM) at Airtel reporting to COO, leading the Retail business operation in entire Karnataka with a team of
154 people which is currently the largest Franchise retail operations in the country for Airtel. In my current role I have
built a robust and high performing channelnetwork, equipped with trained staffs,laid out basic Channel policy, structure
and revamped the Channel eco Systems resulting in significant growth both on revenue and profitability.
Prior to this I was the Airtel Money Head for Karnataka - at Airtel where I led the M-commerce for Airtel to new
heights by designing and implementing process for tapping the high potential migrant Labourers and opened a new gate
of opportunity for M-Commerce which is copied by many new M-commerce companies.
I have spent earlier days of my career with FMCG industry – Hindustan CocaCola Bevereages pvt ltd, driving business
through distribution network and leading the marketing and sales effort to penetrate rural pockets which in turn helped
the organization to improve market share compared to competition.
My next major assignment was with Tata tele services,driving business throughDirect and Indirect Channels. As part of
channelsales I have built a strong and unique channel and distribution setup for data cards which helped the organization
to launch data cards successfully in retail markets of karnataka. I was also responsible for developing some impactful
alliances with the Laptops and desktop dealers and thereby increasing product footprint.
After almost 1.5 years stint with Tata Tele services, I moved over to Bharti Airtel ltd as Channel Manager – Postpaid
and Data Business Development with charter to develop New Channels for business and significantly increase the share
of Indirect Business.In this role, I created the structure,processes and framework ofSmall DSA and Small Format Stores
leading to some innovative work around Channel Development resulting in better service to no serviceable areas and
growth in business through new channels.
