The roles of the women in the drama are significant because of the way they shape the story and
help the reader understand the nature of one of the strangest events in human history. Throughout
the novel, women are portrayed in many different ways. Some are shown as being good and moral
people while others the complete opposite. Arthur Miller s treatment of women in this play show
women as weak beings who give into their husbands. Each women in the drama plays a significant
role in showing the different archetypes there were among women especially Mary Warren,

During the early part of the 19th Century reform was placed low on the political agenda. This
was perhaps due to the Napoleonic Wars with France which showed people the damaging effects
war could have on the country. However, in 1819 the arguments concerning the reformation of
parliament came back into the public s conscious. The growing role of the media acted as a new
method of informing the public of their rights and the need for action. People were also being

Performance Hall. This play was centered around two friends Vladimir and Estragon who are in the

characters that influence the story and it also it makes the two main characters and their views on
life pop out as well as their actions and words. At the beginning, both Vladimir and Estragonwere

differences as well with the Hallmark movie of the same name. The epic poem is about the hero
Odysseus who has spent twenty long years filled with toil and loss, through war and sea desperate
to return to his home of Ithaca. Odysseus has angered some of the gods and goddesses of a Greek
Mythology with his destruction of the mighty city of Troy. Odysseus is represented in the poem
and the movie, but there are several differences between the two in the events he encountered.
