Sappi fine paper is the leading producer of coated paper and chemical cellulose in the world. The name
derived from abbreviating South African Pulp and Paper Industries Limited.
They have manufacturing across continents like North America, Africa, Europe, and South America etc.
The present project involves conversion of an existing price maintenance tool used by their North
American sales force, which is configured using ASP .net technologies with Oracle as staging database
into an Enterprise Portal solution built on webdynpro technology with direct updation of data into SAP
R/3 for real time uploads of data. This solution eliminates batch upload process currently in vogue.
The tool has very complex features and very critical in their sales process as it involves a work flow
process a encompassing the functionalities of creation/ change/ deletion of condition records and their
approval at appropriate levels.
The price maintenance revolves around certain up charges their waivers and discounts.
The heart of the functionality is around maintenance of a CPE continuing price exception, which has
around 28 functional screens.
Responsibilities:
 Coordinated a team of three technical resources and four Portal resources and one
workflow from the offshore.
