1. SAMPLE EMAIL FROM SEED PROGRAMS INTERNATIONAL
Hi friends, family and associates,
As many of you know, after I retired from (xxxxxx company) I joined the board of a
non-profit organization called Seed Programs International (SPI). SPI provides
vegetable seeds and technical know-how to the poor and hungry in developing
countries so they can plant gardens and learn to feed themselves.
We recently brought on board Peter Marks as President of SPI, an enthusiastic and
very capable young man. Peter is currently working on a project to get seeds to a
group in Haiti for school and home gardens. SPI has the project listed on
"GlobalGiving" which is an online fundraising site for projects all over the world.
If Seed Programs can get at least 40 unique donors to support the Haiti project
during September with any amount and have it add up to $5,000, SPI becomes a
permanent fixture on the site which has all kinds of great future benefits for us. As
of this writing we still have 17 days left to reach our goal.
