Topic: ‘Characterization of Various Parameters in Friction Drilling Based on Experimental
Investigation’

Description: A comprehensive research of friction drilling was done on stainless steel and brass. Detailed
analysis
based on design of experiments was followed by statistical study and optimization of process
parameters. I worked on the project as a research scholar.
Conclusion: The optimum feed and speed for brass (muntz metal) is 140mm/min and 3500rpm (M8
hole) respectively. In case of AISI202, there is increase in hardness of 60-70HV and
change in the grain size of up to depth of 3-4mm from surface of hole. The optimum feed
and speed for AISI202 stainless steel is 2000rpm and 90mm/min.
Topic: ‘Design and Manufacture of Collet for Holding Connecting Rod’
Organisation: Fortuna Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Ambad, Nasik.
Duration: 1 year

Description: The project aimed to design and manufacture Collet which would hold connecting rod in
horizontal position while it is machined (boring). Involved in manufacturing of the collet,
i.e converting the design in to actual object including selection of necessary processes
and material along with process planning.
Conclusion: Less cycle time and rejection was achieved.
