This document presents a study on the safety evaluation of microalgae in rodents. The study aims to evaluate the acute and sub-acute oral toxicity of various microalgae species, including Cladophora, Spirogyra, and Chlorella, in rats. The study will involve collecting algal biomass, selecting and housing laboratory animals, and administering single and repeated doses of the algal extracts to test groups of rats. The rats will be observed for toxicity and various physiological parameters will be measured over the course of the study period. The results will help determine if the algal species are safe enough to be used as nutritional supplements, pharmaceutical ingredients, or other applications.
