We joined the world initiative to show our support.
We presented the articles in the media and went out
with burning candles in our hands.
Dear participants in the traffic,
On November 17, 2013 World Day for Memorising Road Victims asks us to remember and honor the memory of the
thousands of people, died with no time on the road because of car accidents, to express our condolences to their relatives and
remember the people who continue to suffer.
Each month victims of road accidents in our country are more than 700 people, more than 54 of them lost their lives. People
with viable options die and they are maimed because of their own or foreign mistakes. Thousands of years of human life and
health are destroyed.
Much of the misery on the road are preventable. Joint activities are necessary for developing a new culture of safe
participation in traffic and formation of public and personal intolerance against violations of traffic rules that destroy lives
and perspectives, bring a huge pain, moral and material losses.
Today more than ever we need more tolerance, respect, foresight, shared responsibility to reduce our mistakes that lead to
these disasters on the road. Let us fight daily for life and health to our relatives, to our employees by discouraging them from
dangers in traffic. Let's be a good example for safe participation in traffic as drivers, as pedestrians and passengers for our
children.
To express our gratitude to doctors, police officers, firefighters, to all who fight for the life and health to the victims.
Let us all with, more vision and purpose to join our forces to protect lives and health of people in traffic. We believe that
together we can save the lives of many people and we can do our roads safer for all!

FACTORS THAT HELP DRIVING SAFELY
Driver Vehicle Environment
DEFENSIVE DRIVING
• Driving to save lives, time, and money, in spite of the
conditions around you and the actions of others.
• Using knowledge and skills to drive in such a way that:
 Do not cause accidents
 Do not involve in accidents.
 Not being in a conditions to invite accident.
 This can be achieved through adherence to a variety of general
guidelines, such as following the assured clear distance ahead and
two second rule rules, as well as the practice of specific driving
techniques.
The two second rule tells a defensive
driver the minimum distance to avoid
collision in ideal driving conditions. The
red car's driver picks a tree to judge a
two-second safety buffer.

ELIMINATING DRIVING HAZARDS
Adults and children over 6 years
who drive or sit on motorbike
have to wear helmet.
Don’t Drink or Take Drugs and Drive
• Alcohol and drugs impair:
- Ability to determine distances
- Reaction time
- Judgment
- Vision
Some medicines can also make drivers drowsy (e.g. cold and flu
meds, anti-histamines, etc.)
• Remember:
- Only time, not coffee, will sober you up
- Ride with a designated driver.
Eliminate driving hazards: Seat belts
Seat Belts
• Saved many lives, both driver and
passengers (if seat belts are provided)
• Prevent crashing into steering wheel,
dash or windshield
• Keep us inside vehicle
• Protect body organs
• Improve chance of remaining conscious
• Keep us behind the wheel if we have to
swerve or brake suddenly.
Eliminate driving hazards: Carrying a Load?
• Don’t overload your vehicle or motor-taxi
• Make sure everyone has a seat and a seat belt
• Make sure cargo is properly secured
• Be certain your vision is not blocked.
Obey Traffic Rules & Use Common Sense
• Speed limits
• Traffic signs and signals
• Signal your intentions: before overtaking, changing
direction or reversing
• Pass with care and only where allowed.
Maintain a minimum safe distance with drivers in front
Do not drive too close
Foresee situations and avoid brake too urgently.
Do you use mobile phone when driving?
Should you? DO NOT. It makes you distracted !
