Kopi Chat Deep Dive: Big Data and Artificial Intelligence @Blk71 Singapore BLOCK71 Singapore
Takeaways from our Kopi Chat Deep Dive series where we explored how Big Data and Artificial Intelligence is being currently applied with a panel of speakers from the government sector, industry leaders, business founders and venture capitalists. Thank you for joining us and watch this space for more Kopi Chat Da Bao!
Dr Jim Mason from UWE Bristol presented on the use of blockchain technology in construction in the support of smart contracts. Presented on 14th March 2019 at the COMIT Community Day. Hosted by SCISYS at their offices in Chippenham.
A presentation given at TEN (The Executive Network) in London on November 6th, 2013.
There is so much talk about Big Data, yet little practical advice to help organizations deal with it. 90% of all data ever created by the human race was created in the past two years alone – and the rate is accelerating. The real revolution, though, is that only the individual will be able to access all of his or her own data – companies must come to terms with this loss of control.
What is Big Data is, and how does it impact all businesses, their people and their organizations? What strategies can you employ to deal with this data revolution? And, how can you lead change in your organization, to embrace Big Data’s impact in all of your activities?

Mick gave a presentation at the President's Lecture of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) on May 9th 2013. The focus was on the strategic business implications of the "Big Data" revolution.
A key point made was that single source Structured Data ("tiny data") plus Unstructured Data (such as social) = "Big Data" which then needs to be stored, analysed, visualised and made useful in business decisions.
This presentation is about equitable processes for smart city planning and building presenting and framing the key question: "As more and more tech is placed in the public way, how can we make sure smart cities are planned inclusively and align with the public interest?"
A presentation with 80% new content on social tagging. This covers "faces of perception", "depth of perception", and perception matrix, which greatly helps to analyze, research, and build social software. Enterprise uses of social bookmarking and their concerns are also included.

What is the underlying philosophy of Token Economy? Why are we interested in blockchain - a very inefficient distributed ledger? Why Inclusive Blockchain and Financial Inclusion are the keys to sustainable Token Economy in a highly regulated environment? Does Fractional Tradable Consensus Trust Carrier have any economic and financial value?
Presentation by GBA Puerto Rico Chapter lead Oscar Cullen from @siete8siete about Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies at the College of Certified Accounting Professionals
EVRYTHNG created this white paper for the Blockchain Research Institute. The goal was to explore what blockchain technology can (and cannot) do for the the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT is where the rubber meets the road for blockchain after all. Beyond the purely digital applications of finance, communication and intellectual property rights management lies the physical world where trillions of objects will be connected — connecting, communicating and exchanging value without human intervention.
AI Everywhere: How Microsoft is Democratizing AIPaul Prae
Microsoft has set a goal of democratizing AI. It’s agents, applications, services, and infrastructure. Join us to learn how Microsoft's intelligent cloud solutions can help any organization better handle uncertainty, reduce risks, build intelligent applications that deliver better services faster, grow customer loyalty, help businesses become more proactive and differentiate themselves from intensifying competition. We will discuss:
+ Microsoft's AI Strategy
+ Examples of AI in the Enterprise
+ The Cortana Intelligence Suite
Let's Talk: fundamentals of conversational designNikita Lukianets
I had a pleasure to teach conversation design at Lviv Data Science Summer School. We’ve discussed architectural approaches, covered semantic funnels and goal-oriented conversations. This presentation was used as a support material and I decided to share it with a wider audience. There are multiple articles introducing chatbots as a concept, including the main architectural principles behind. I’m not going to talk about them here, but rather I am presenting the anatomy of conversation and useful resources to get started with design and development: links to platforms, dialog engines, prototyping tools, connectors, intent recognition, and conversation analytics tools.
Technovation: An interactive session in AICTE approved STTP on Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Big Data. The talk covered an overview of what is creativity and innovation on a global scale and how they have impacted the world. Participants have identified a few takeaways: awareness of current trends, how ideas can be crystallized into products, how to mentor and guide projects, the world is changing and we as teachers also need to change.

The threat of AI taking over our jobs is a belief that many still have today. But nothing can be further from the truth—as with any disruptive technology, some jobs will be replaced by machines, while many more opportunities will be created and augmented for more efficiency and value. This is evident with the current COVID-19 crisis in how organizations that are utilizing a hybrid workforce of humans and AI-powered virtual agents have been able to optimize the customer experience. While conversational AI provides 24/7 automated self-service, live agents are given more bandwidth to focus on more complex, higher-value work that requires personal interactions.
