ORAL
1.
Cara pemberian obat melalui mulut untuk
mencegah, mengobati, mengurangi rasasakit
sesuai efek terapi dari jenis obat.
Keuntungan: mudah, murah, aman dan
nyaman bagi pasien.
Kerugian :
1. Aksinya lambat
2. Rasa dan bau obat yang tidak enak
3. Tidak dapat diberikan pada penderita yang
mual, muntah, semi koma, dan gangguan
menelan.
2. SUBLINGUAL
Obat diberikan dengan cara meletakkan obat di bawah
lidah.
Keuntungan:
1. Obat cepat, tidak diperlukan kemampuan menelan
2. Kerusakan obat di saluran cerma dan metabolisme di
dinding usus dan hati dapat dihindari (tidak lewat
vena aorta).
Kekurangan:
1. Absorpsi tidak adekuat
2. Kepatuhan pasien kurang
3. Membutuhkan kontrol agar pasien tidak menelan.
3. PER REKTAL
Obat dimasukkan melalui anus atau rektum,
dengan tujuan memberikan efek lokal dan
sistemik.
Keuntungan:
1. Dapat dipakai jika pasien tidak bisa
peroral
2. 2. Dapat mencegah first-past-metabolism
3. Pilihan terbaik pada anak-anak.
Kerugian:
1. Absorpsi tidak adekuat
2. Banyak pasien tidak nyaman/risih
perektal
4. PER VAGINAM
Pemberian obat dengan memasukkan melalui vagina, yang
bertujuan untuk mendapatkan efek terapi obat dan
mengobati saluran vagina atau serviks.
Keuntungan:
1. Obat cepat bereaksi
2. Efek yang ditimbulkan
Kerugian:
1. Dapat membangkitkan rasa malu
2. Kesulitan dalam melakukan prosedur terhadap wanita
lansia
3. Setiap rabas yang keluar memungkinkan berbau busuk
5. INHALASI
Cara pemberian obat ke dalam saluran napas.
Keuntungan :
1. Absorpsi terjadi secara cepat karena permukaan
absorpsinya luas
2. Dapat menghantarkan obat langsungke paru-paru untuk
segera bekerja
3. Efek samping amping dapat dikurangi
4. Jumlah obat yang perlu diberikan adalah lebih sedikit
dibanding cara pemberian lainnya
Kerugian :
1. Diperlukan alat dan metoda khusus yang agak sulit
dikerjakan
2. Sukar mengatur dosis
3. Obatnya sering mengiritasi epitel paru.
6. EMPLASTRUM
Merupakan hasil proses penyabunan dari asam lemat
dengan logam berat. Emplastrum sebagai obat luar.
Keuntungan:
1. Memberikan proteksi dari benturan mekanis pada kulit
2. Mengakibatkan obat berkontrak erat dengan kulit yang
diobati, tidak gampang meleleh sehingga efek lokal
lebih intensif
7. URETHRAL
Digunakan lewat urethra, bentuk batang
panjang antara 7 cm-14 cm. Merupakan salah
satu jenis suppositoria.
Contoh: Trans Urethral Resection Of The Prostate
(TURP) pada hiperplasia prostat.
8. IMPLAN
Merupakan satu unit sistim penghantaran obat yang dibuat untuk
menghantarkan obat dengan kecepatan tertentu, dengan periode
waktu yang diperpanjang.
Keuntungan:
1. Nyaman (convenience).
2. Baik untuk pelepasan obat terkontrol
3. Memaksimalkan penghantaran obat
4. Fleksibel
Kekurangan:
1. Invasif, diperlukan prosedur bedah minoratau mayor untuk
memulai terapi
2. Bahaya rusaknya alat, dapat menyebabkan kegagalan terapi
3. Terbatasnya obat-obatan poten
4. Biokompatibel, reaksi tubuh terhadapbenda asing yang masuk
dan keamanan implant
9. BUCCAL
Dilakukan dengan menempatkan obat padat di
membran mukosa pipi sampai obat larut.
Keuntungan:
1. Onset cepat
2. Mencegah “first-pass effect”
Tidak diperlukan kemampuan menelan
Kekurangan:
1. Absorbsi tidak adekuat
2. Kepatuhan pasien kurang
3. Mencegah pasien menelan
10. INTRAVENA
Obat langsung dimasukkan ke pembuluh darah sehingga
kadar obat di dalam darah diperoleh dengan cepat, tepat dan
dapat disesuaikan langsung dengan respons penderita.
Keuntungan:
1. Cepat mencapai konsentrasi
2. Dosis tepat
3. Mudah menitrasi dosis
Kekurangan:
1. Obat yang sudah diberikan tidak dapat ditarik kembali
2. Pemberian intravena (IV) harus dilakukan perlahan-lahan
3. Konsentrasi awal tinggi toksik, invasive resiko infeksi
4. Memerlukan keahlian
