Public advocacy is considered to be activities that involve the individuals or groups to influence and offer support to a given cause or policy. It takes place both in public and also in private institutions. Some of the advocacy groups that we have includes the lobbyist and the special interest groups which are helping in advocating in the public realm. In addition, we also have the patient advocates who are based in the hospitals and help in the process of protecting the rights of the patients, In business,we have the nonprofit groups who ensure that consumers are treated fair in the marketplaces. Multiple stakeholder processes are considered to be the process which is aiming at bringing all the key stakeholders together to make some decisions about some particular issues by consulting widely to ensure that the opportunity for the engagement is maximized (Malek, Budhwar & Reiche, 2015).
Identify and research at least two examples of companies that have been impacted by the campaigns of public advocacy groups. What is the value of democratic inputs in business decision making?
The two companies that have been impacted by the campaign of the public advocacy group include companies like Apple and the Koch Company. Apple is an international company that is dealing with the production of the electronics such the iPad, iPhone and televisions. On the other side, Koch Company is also one of the companies that have been impacted by the campaigns of the public advocacy. We have realized that the company deals with the production of the Angel Soft toilet papers and it also deals with the parts of the iPhone. Apple is influenced by the campaigns of the public advocacy that it engages in the policy discussion and discuss matters that are base on their business. Apple clients in some of the areas that include the intellectual property, privacy and also environment. The company is actually trying to ensure that they help in the policy-making of the government to understand their products, their business and the innovation they use (Chai, Kim & Kim, 2018).
We have also realized that Koch Company has also been impacted by the campaigns of the advocacy groups by ensuring that they are have come up with the system to ensure that there is loyalty, honor, personal courage, respect and integrity in the company among the workers and also to the public. The value of democratic inputs in these two companies is actually to ensure that the companies are complying with public policies and regulations that help them to make decisions which are benefiting everyone in the market to ensure that there are a good relationship and good policies for the business and to the public (Epstein, 2018).

The competitive forces model is also extremely pertinent as you mention. Knowing the competition and the current market is crucial to the success of the organization. I appreciate that you talk about how difficult entry gives you a competitive advantage. I don't know if I understood that before, but you make a very good point in that regard. So with the difficult entry the contract agreement, is longer and there are better benefits offered? “

The adoption of technology can lead to various promotions in conjunction with the local production at the international business. Today, data quality and privacy are important components in any organization around the world. Thus , project managers are required to come up with proper ways of ensuring better data quality and privacy to ensure there is availability and improve customer service that will go to the heart of enabling the organization have a proper and functioning system at the end of the day. The managers need to adopt the following recommendations for the business as follows. The first recommendation is the need to have a high level of accuracy and measurement when it comes to degree where the data values are obtained. Data accuracy is very important in the business as wrong values will produce wrong output and this will affect the quality of decision making process at the end of the day (Chiregi & Navimipour, 2016) Another important mechanism is to ensure that all the data is complete and contains all the required attributes that will ensure there is proper data that will used in the decision making process. Also, there is need for the data to be consistency and this means that all the attributes should be uniform and all the instances and references from the set of data (Pearson & Wegener,2013). Thus, all the data collected need to be accurate and all values be consistent form the source. Finally, there is need to have a unique demonstration of the records that will need to be represented within the data sets and this will remove the element of duplicates at the end of the day.

The topic chosen for the research paper is “Stakeholders Engagement in Policy Development
.” It is accompanied with the problem statement of examining the way the stakeholders’ engagement in the policy development is used to develop the policies together with the impacts of the stakeholders in the development of the policies.
1. Introduction
The stakeholder’s engagement is referred to as the process whereby the organization involves the individuals that will be affected or can influence the decisions to be made. The stakeholders either support or opposes the decisions which will influence the organization both internally and externally. The stakeholders’ engagement has been seen to improve the decision making in a given organization. The main aim of this paper is to examine the way the stakeholders’ engagement in the policy development is used to develop the policies together with the impacts of the stakeholders in the development of the policies. While most of the organizations have the interest in engaging the stakeholders in the issues to deal with the policies, there is a great divergence when the stakeholders are engaged. This includes the purpose of the stake holders, when to engage them during the development of the policies, the methods to be used for the engagement, their impact, challenges, and the outcome of using the stakeholders.
2. Key Stakeholders to be Involved in the Development of the Policies
Stake holders are the group of people or the organizations that are involved in the process of the policy development. In any of the organization, the stakeholders includes the public, the policy makers, researchers, the advocacy groups, employees, and the consumers among other people who are affected by the law (Lemke, 2015). Each of the stake holders comes up with his or her different opinion in the development of the policies. However, there are six major types of stakeholders. These are the customers, employees, investors, suppliers, communities, and the government (Corperate Finance Institute, 2019). As the different stakeholders have the different interests, their contribution to the development of the policies is different.
3. Reasons for Engaging the Stakeholder
In the stakeholders’ engagement, there is different reasons as to why they are involved. Among them is the production of the quality decision making. Secondly is for the avoidance of the duplication of the policies together with the identification of the commonality. Thirdly is to increase the effectiveness and the efficiency of the policy as it will be covering all round. Fourthly, it increases the practices of the risk management. There are very many issues that determine whether an organization is going to fail or succeed in a given environment. Competition keeps increasing and the dynamics of doing business change with time. Consumer demands and preferences as well as government’s laws and regulations for doing business also change with time. An overall organizational success encompasses the inclusion of all the stakeholders such as employees and shareholders, and the harmonization of its goals and missions. With all these in mind, an organization ought to develop an effective structure, a powerful strategy and a good culture since its success or failure heavily depends on these factors more than anything else.
The Organizational Structure
This is the arrangement or the framework by which different activities are laid out and how individual or team work are coordinated in an organization. To achieve goals and different objectives of the organization all the activities and roles in an organization should be well coordinated, controlled and managed. The organization structure is a tool that should never be neglected. It helps to show who does what and who reports to whom (Thompson, 2018). These reporting relationships are very valuable and result to unity of command.
A good organization structure eases the flow of formal communications within the organization. This is because it outlines the channels of communication and how different actions of the stakeholders are related or linked together. Structure helps different personnel in the organization to work together for a common goal.
There is no structure that can be said to be the best. For example, an organization needs to consider its strategy and have clearly outlined responsibilities and roles, clear communication channels and defined procedures in order to select a good structure. A good structure helps the business to:
· Improve staff morale.
· Avoid excessive meetings
· Make quick and effective decisions
· Reduce conflict among teams and departments
· Have coordination
· Reduce costs
· Be responsive to changes
The Strategy
This is a combination of all the plans, ideas and actions that an organization intends to take in order to achieve set goals. The strategic plans may be for short term, medium term or even long-term goals. The strategy maps the route that the business will take in order to achieve its goals and visions.
With time the strategy of a business can change even if the goals remain the same. It does not have to be inflexible. This allows the business to incorporate changes in the internal and external environment and also take advantage of new opportunities that may arise in the course of running the organization. Benefits of multi-stakeholder
The partnership does not just bring key stakeholders together so as to discuss issues of policy,
creates consensus and implements, but is assist in improving equality between players and
promotes participation and transparency (Marc & Adriana, 2014). Some of the benefits are:
It promotes equity in policy and implementation- this approach promotes participation of
every interested individual in the process in an equalized manner.
Fosters sharing of innovation and skills: bringing stakeholders who have diverse

development of strategies that are new and innovative for a change.

Introduction
In the article, Gee helps to expound more about different terms that are essential in any given field. Literacy becomes his first target and he defines it as the ability to possess knowledge that allows one to execute the functions of both writing and reading. Gee goes ahead to present a definition of discourse. In line with the definition that has been presented by Gee, a discourse is broad and it is a term that is diverse thus can be used in different forms. One of the major characteristics of discourse is acceptability. Discourse must be accepted by a group of people. The reason behind it is that a discourse brings together a network that has the same thinking, uses the same language, and acts the same.
The career that I have chosen in this case is Financial Analysis. A financial analyst is a person who provides financial advice to organizations and individuals. The work of a financial analyst is to investigate the financial situation and offer the best financial solutions. When an organization plans to invest, it must be in the best position to afford the investments. At the same time, it is essential for an organization to know if the investment will have returns or not. A financial analyst comes in place to make sure that an organization knows the advantages and disadvantages of investing in a specific investment. My discourse is becoming a financial analyst who is capable of delivering in line with the expectations of my clients or employers. I intend to know more about the factors that essential before investing in any given market. The Financial Analysts career is a discourse community because it meets the follow characteristics as explored in Gee’s Criteria for such communities.
Valuing/ Values: Financial analysts are guided by several values and principles. First, Financial Analysts must positively contribute to the core belief of the society via sustainable values generated through efficient capital and markets and their respective investment institutions. Second, a financial analyst must exercise zeal and prudence when dealing with people’s capital assets. Third, financial analysts must uphold high ethical standards and good stewardship necessary for cultivating confidence and trust to be served and secured. These standards are critical for positive results since regulations and rules are not independently sufficient.
Doing/Actions: Financial analysts work in pension funds, banks, insurance firms and other investment enterprises. Their job is to offer guidance to individuals and businesses in making investment choices. They examine and assess the financial performance of stock and other investment premises.

To develop a cost analysis we need to understand the influence of factors such as technology, space, availability of raw materials, human resources and time. Costs that are directly related to the product and increase according to production volumes can be classified as direct costs. In EFI, variable costs constituted an important percentage of the cost structure. In this group we must obviously include the raw material. To make the tortilla, corn flour, wheat flour, water, flavorings, other additional foods and chemical preservatives were needed. In this case, the rules varied in relation to the size of each type of tortilla. Salary expense is a cost that is also variable because the production cycles are measured by volumes / hours. Each employee in the production line added a cost to the product as it went through the different processes, from the preparation of the mixture to the packaging department. Other variable costs that can be mentioned are the depreciation of the machinery. In this case, when equipment is depreciated by units produced, the cost of depreciation can be directly identified with a unit of product.
On the other hand, fixed costs do not increase or decrease necessarily with the volume of production. For example: the rent of the premises and the warehouses, the salary of the administrative personnel, the costs of financing, the insurances and other administrative expenses. These elements of expenses are more difficult to standardize because they are not determined by the total tons produced (Hasan, Halid, Ahmad, Hasdiana, & Ilato, 2018)

Introduction
Harvey and Sons Limited is a medium sized carpet manufacturing organization based in US and has several branches throughout the country. It operates both in the US and Canada. The organization only specialized in production, manufacturing and the distribution of fiber made and woven carpets. It is a manufacturer of some of the higher rated beautifully-designed carpets with the use of the latest technology, which has been made available to print carpets with the preferred resolution.
The company has a lot of color options and presents approximately 17 choices of the pure colors for choice. The branding strategy to be employed will be use of unique colors and design to market the organization’s name and quality (D'Angelo, 2010). The organization is to make use of reduced price for it pricing strategy. Being not well known company, the organization will be a price taker in the market but will have reduced prices for its products as compared to the prices of its competitors. The organization’s distribution strategy will be through a network of about 10 out bases throughout the US as well as Canada.
The available competition is intra competition with the main competitors being Mohawk, Daltile and Brumlow Carpet. Brumlow is well known in the US market and is considered to have the most color options in the entire industry. The only weakness is on its high pricing which is a way that the organization uses to reflect the quality. Mohwk and Daltile have strong financial statements and are also well known in the industry. The weaknesses for the two companies are mainly on pricing, reduced innovation and lack of creativity (Pinson, 2008).
The differentiation strategy to be made in relation to the closest competitor is trying to turn the plain as well as the dull colors and make them stunning which will highly transform the home appearance. The organization’s intention is to become the leader in the industry in the next five years and being able to provide the most flexible offers and most rated products in terms of quality.
The organization needs to be aware of the influence of the legal forces and realize that it needs to adhere to the rules and regulations on operating in different areas and opening business in the area. Since the organization is also dependent on the technological forces for the design and manufacture of the carpets, it needs to be aware of the technological transformations and advances in the industry. The organization also needs to make use of the available technology to improve on its innovation (Towill & Christopher, 2002).
On the social forces, the organization needs to be aware that its products should respect and be in respect to the changes in the tastes and preferences of the customers. In the economic sense, the organization should be.

1. Identify and describe the main operating activities and the form of organization for this business.
Operation activities are generally the daily processes that generate money for a business. Core activities of a company such as manufacturing; marketing and selling form the main operating activities. They furthermore, provide majority of the cash flow for a company. Profitability of a company largely depends on them. Partnership is the main form of the business unit used at the place with marketing coming out to be the main economic activity in the place.
2. Determine and explain why the owner(s) chose this particular form of organization.
A partnership was suitable for the business as it provided room for coming together and easily sharing on the main challenges of the business. Combination of efforts by members and the general concern about the total wellbeing of the people in the place made it easy for the growth of the business (Gigli and Agrawala, 2007). Easy understanding among the members of the group made it easy for the partnership to grow fast as they would easily agree on something.
3. Identify any special advantages and/or disadvantages the owner(s) experiences in operating with this form of business organization.
The main reason for choosing the partnership as the form of business is that it is easy to start and operate. The registration process is simple and does not take long. Decisions made from this kind of process are easy as they involve the combination of efforts from different parties. Quality of decisions makes the business to be stable and operate well. Easy to raise and generate more capital for developing and making the business grows at a fast rate (Boyle et.al, 1997). Division of labor makes it easy to share and distribute responsibilities among the members of the groups. On the other hand, the decision making process takes a lot of time before coming to a mutual conclusion hence termed as slow.
1. Does the company prepare interim financial statements? What time period(s) is used for interim statements?
The company uses interim financial statements. The period is less than one year. In many cases, the statements are given for the quarters between the existing annual financial statements. It gives users and investors detailed and updated information on the operations of the corporation.

organization with poor ethical values at an organizational level. The following are some of the factors that help in the determination of the top tone in an organization.
Factors Influencing Tone at the Top
Marketing Communication
Marketing communication refers to the different modes of marketing techniques used by a company to advertise their products and services to the target consumers. To exemplify corporate ethics at an organizational level, a corporation should educate potential consumers about their products without making any false or exaggerated claims or exploiting public emotions, fears of and discriminations to attract customers or to avail of competitive advantage.
Financial Reporting
Financial reporting is the process through which corporations disclose their financial information to their shareholders, governing authorities and the general public. While most government agencies and corporate associations mandate companies to disclose their financial information such as yearly turnovers, assets, liabilities, investments and donations on a quarterly or fiscal basis, there have been various scandals in the past, in which large corporations have concealed or manipulated financial data in reports to achieve organizational objectives. Such was the case of Boeing in 1997 when the company concealed huge financial overruns. To implement a positive tone at the top, an organization needs to conduct truthful and accurate financial reporting regardless of the circumstances (Lord, 2018).
Leadership
The nature of leadership shown by the managers of an organization determine the employees’ perception of the the internal environment of the corporation, which in turn contributes to the overall tone at the top. To enhance ethics in the work culture, leaders should not only observe, supervise and help employees at their jobs but should also show dedicated and organizational attitude. For example, leaders need to take responsibility for collective mistakes and risks that may arise in the course of any operation (Yasir and Mohamad, 2016). Moreover, transformational leadership is a great way to establish an ethical work culture, whereby leaders show interest in employees’ issues and work towards the benefit of both employees and organizations to encourage workers in achieving organizational goals.
Corporate Philanthropy
Corporate philanthropy refers to the contribution of corporations towards social and environmental causes through donations and sponsorship. In order to achieve a positive tone at the top, corporations need to perform philanthropy as a burden of social responsibility and not as a marketing strategy.

Usually, the top at the tone is really been hearing in many different places within business organizations however, most of men and women have no crystal-clear concept towards them. Some people assume that this tone at the top is the principle that had really been created in the workplace to generate or current en.

Discussion 1Discussing the conditions that are necessary for su.docxcharlieppalmer35273
Discussion 1:
Discussing the conditions that are necessary for successful innovation:
We have three different conditions for making successful innovation. They are 1) Motivation, 2) Support, 3) Direction [McKeen & Smith (2015)].
1. Motivation: It encourages the people by establishing various rewards for innovation. Many people in the organization work hard for the best outputs. By the pressures of the team leaders or higher authority people, they tend to demotivate and get discouraged. They cannot work for creating new innovations by the extra pressures. So, the organization should create a new innovative idea by giving rewards and extra incentives for all the employees who work hard in resolving the risks. This can boost up the confidence levels of the employees and result in great outputs [Johnston (2017)]. Every organization can have different types of rewards given for their employees. Some of them may give rewards like tickets, books, executive citations and recognition days, etc. Some may give the opportunity to play and work with upcoming new technologies.
2. Support: This should create support by creating an effective infrastructure for which it can sustain the innovation. As the motivation phase can encourage the employee for creating the innovation, they should also start providing support for the innovation. Not only the motivation, but also support helps in creating efficient innovation. Here, we have two different strategies followed in supporting the innovation. They are stated as follows:
· Insulate: This strategy helps all the organizations to create the innovation centers. These are the centers that act as the one-stop destination for all the common problems.
· Incubate: This strategy helps to keep all the centers within specific lines of business (LOBs) [McKeen & Smith (2015)].
The centers that are established will support all the innovations. Supporting the innovation may involve some tasks like providing the access for all the organizations that deal with them, they should provide the effective infrastructure, the social interaction with other organizations, various functions that can support for development of any particular organization [Minshall, Stefan, Mortara (2014)].
3. Direction: It should manage all the innovations that are created with different strategies. Successful innovations always have a great impact [JD (2009)]. Learning is the most important task to do in any organization. Learning all the new strategical ways to present an innovation leads to best results. We have three different ways of strategical learning that employees in every organization should follow. They are as follows:
· Always we need to link the innovation to the customer value for having a better and clear result. This approach can easily focus on the customer pain points (CPPs) [McKeen & Smith (2015)]. The identification of these pain points gives us many potential solutions.
· Always we should link all the experimentation.

Introduction
Strategic competitiveness is gained when an organization successfully establishes as well as implements a value-creating approach. In this perspective, strategy refers to a cohesive and coordinated combination of commitments and also to mention actions developed to exploit primary competencies in order to gain a competitive advantage (Hitt, Ireland, & Artz, 1999). This occurs when a firm implements a strategy unique from that of competitors giving them leverage. As a result, the firm is able to ensure above average returns and satisfy investor’s expectations from other investments with a common likelihood of risk. This paper will focus on Twitter, Inc to examine how globalization and advancement in technology have impacted the company. Further, applying the industrial organization model and resource-based model I will explore how the company could earn more profits, analyze how both the vision and the statement of the company impact its overall triumph and lastly investigate how Twitter’s stakeholders impact on the its overall success.
How globalization and technology changed Twitter Inc.
The modern world is transforming into a time of technological invention. Existence of new innovations on top of the available technological resources is such a remarkable achievement. As it improves, it as well spreads to other parts of the world. In this case the global spread of innovations it avails vast connections which consequently creates new markets across the world. Focusing on social media, it is one of those tools that can easily be exploited by those who are connected. Basically, as access is gained on a larger scale, it avails multiple market opportunities to those outsourcing ideas. In today’s world, the use of social media has revolutionized out society. Basing this on real life events various social media platforms have contributed to activism. This, however, has been criticized by many but the point is that social media is revolutionizing the world. Therefore, there’s no doubt that the present as well as the future transformation will still use social media. This is because social media platforms capture considerable large audience within a short period of time. In this case, the widespread of social media platforms such as Twitter; the company growth cannot be stopped.
Globalization and technology have contributed to the consistent growth of the company. For instance, according to Complete the micro-blogging sites recorded 23 million unique users with an increased growth (Java et al, 2007, August). This does not include the large number of people that do not visit Twitter.com but instead use third party service to update. Focusing on the trend the company hopes to h ...

Diversity and Inclusion Efforts That
Really Work

Summary.
Rusty Hill/Getty Images
A Stanford and Harvard professor convened a symposium on what’s
actually working to improve diversity and inclusion in organizational life. In this
article, David Pedulla summarizes the main findings. First, organizations should set
goals, collect data, and hold people accountable for improving diversity within the
organization. Second, organizations should abandon traditional discrimination and
harassment reporting systems — these often lead to retaliation. Employee
Assistance Plans (EAPs), ombuds offices, and transformative dispute resolution

systems can play a critical role in not only reducing retaliation but also provide fuel
for organizational change. Third, organizations should check to ensure that
technologies used to assist in hiring and promotion aren’t inherently biased.
Fourth, companies must avoid tokenism. Finally, organizations should get
managers and other leaders involved in diversity programs from the start. This will
increase buy-in and lead to smooth implementation.
In the wake of major social and political changes over the past
decades, leading companies are taking steps to increase diversity,
equity, and inclusion. Yet progress in most sectors remains tepid.
Programs designed to increase diversity and inclusion in the
workplace often fail. So that leads to a natural question: What’s
actually working?
Focusing on solutions to the diversity challenge — rather than on the
failures — was top of mind when Devah Pager and I designed a
convening in 2018. We brought together leading experts on bias,
technology, discrimination, and organizational design, and – rather
than documenting the problems that abound – we asked everyone to
focus on answering one simple question: What works? (Pager, who
was the Peter and Isabel Malkin professor of public policy and
professor of sociology at Harvard University, passed away in 2018.
The ongoing aspects of our project, I hope, are a testament to her
pathbreaking work on racial discrimination and social inequality.)
It was challenging to keep our emphasis on solutions. As became
clear, there is no silver bullet. No single solution. Yet, in pushing
ourselves to think outside the box and draw on the best empirical
evidence that exists, the convening participants identified promising
areas where investment, focus, and experimentation have the ability
to serve as remarkable engines of change
We dove into these promising areas and produced a report, titled
“What Works? Evidence-Based Ideas to Increase Diversity, Equity,
and Inclusion in the Workplace.” Here, I highlight five key insights

They talk about the potential and restrictions of the MAS to manufacture models that empower spatial organizers to incorporate the 'actor factor' in their examination. Their structure system contemplates actors who assume a functioning job in the spatial planning. They included actors who can watch and see a spatial domain. Using these perceptions and discernment they produce an inclination for a preferred spatial situation. Actors at that point present and discuss their inclinations amid their exchanges with different actors.
The inclinations of the actor fill in as inputs for an official choice making. Finally, ultimate conclusions are actualized in the spatial framework. They found that MAS can produce space utilization designs in light of a portrayal of a multi-actor planning process. It additionally can clear up the impacts of actors under the administration of various planning styles on the space utilization and prove how the relations between actors change amid a planning process and under different orders of coming up with decisions. Unlike the work by Parker, Manson, Janssen, Hoffman & Deadman,2003, cited below, this paper did not include the various challenges associated with the use of MAS.
Parker, D. C., Manson, S. M., Janssen, M. A., Hoffmann, M. J., & Deadman, P. (2003). Multi-agent systems for the simulation of land-use and land-cover change: a review. Annals of the association of American Geographers, 93(2), 314-337.
In this paper, they studied different models. These models, however, were not thorough enough and therefore they took into account the multi-actor system, dynamic spatial Simulation, which has two components, that is, a cellular model that speaks to biogeophysical and biological parts of a demonstrated framework and an actor-based model to speak to human conclusion making. Because of its nature and ability to model complex situations, they highlighted some of the areas that MAS can be applied where other models cannot be able to deliver. Such areas are modeling of emergent phenomena whereby MAS can model landscape plans, due to its flexibility, MAS can represent complex land use/ cover systems, and they can be used to model dynamic paths. They also outlined the various challenges to Multi-actor systems. Such challenges include an understanding of complexity, individual decision making, empirical parameterization and model validation, and communication.

Once I think of a hero, there are specific qualities that surround my imagination, being courageous, hardworking, truthful, strong, resilient, and generous have been the qualities I taught about. I also think a hero is someone protective, caring, and so concerned to change the life of the others and make them happy in their life. My Mother has all these qualities and recognizes her as my hero. Otherwise, she grew up on the support of two great parents who had a good life where she grew up and become a teacher in her life. Almost every individual has had some achievements in their life, and there must be a factor behind those achievements, especially someone who had a significant impact on their life. My mother appears to be my hero, who had a substantial impact on my life.
She is currently 54 years old. She was a teacher by profession, and she did her best as a teacher, where she influenced the lives of many students positively; up to now, some still call her and pass their appreciation to her. She was blessed and gave birth to seven kids; the first three are daughters, then a boy and a girl, and then the last two are boys. All of them have been significantly raised, everyone has something to do for a living, my big brother is a doctor, and three of my sisters are teachers, (like Mother like daughters). Our last born is an engineer interior designer and all of us are married with happy family. All these were not for granted but because of the love of God and the efforts, commitment, and great concern of our beloved parents, especially our Mother.
Even though she did not make a complete journey in her teaching profession, but up to where she stopped, she did a lot. They have been in a relationship with my father for thirty-six years of marriage, and when they had their third kid, my dad suggested that she stop teaching and remain at home to take care of the children. Throughout my entire life, my Mother had been supportive of me, a center of inspiration, and she has always been telling me to have self-confidence and believe in myself that I can make it. In case I face a problem, and I have to make a concrete decision towards it, my Mother always had behind me because I seek for her consultation before I move on to the next step.
It feels so great knowing that there is someone who will support you despite the intensity of the problem you face. It relieves much of the stress that comes along with making decisions. My Mother is beautiful inside and out, but most importantly, she has the biggest heart. She's a hard-working person and can play both parent roles. Everyon.

Program Evaluation Plan (Part 3)
Goals of Evaluation
Evaluation refers to the act of checking various things thoroughly in order to characterize their worth or value, with reference to a certain context. In the field of education, the amount of success in a person’s aims can only be determined through evaluation. Therefore, there is a very close relationship between various aims and evaluation. The main goals of evaluation in schools are as discussed below. The first goal of evaluation in the field of education is to create an educational program ("Evaluation in Teaching and Learning Process | Education", 2020). Through evaluation, evaluators and the school management can build a given program of learning among the students. This is after gathering and checking various factors in order to find what program will fit and make a positive impact in the school. This involves consulting all the stakeholders of the program and developing strategies that will ensure the development of a good program.
The second goal of evaluation is assessing the effectiveness of the program. Evaluation ensures that the developed program is up to standards and serves the purpose that it was intended to. It helps the evaluators to check if the teaching strategies and techniques are being applied properly. The third goal of evaluation is to ensure improvement of the program. Through evaluation, evaluators can gauge the impact of the program on the school and learners. They can also identify various things that can make the program more effective. It acts as an in-built monitor in the program in order to review the progress of the program from time to time. It also gives feedback regarding the design and the implementation of a given program. Through such assessments, the school management can know where to work on, and what they need in order to enhance effective programs in teaching and learning.
For instance, in our case, evaluators can comfortably tell whether or not the program is helping girls become more superior in math. If not they can suggest better or other strategies that will make positive impact.
Cultural Issues Affecting the Program
Culture can influence how different people view things. An individual’s culture and upbringing can affect their way of processing information. Among the cultural issues that might be faced in the evaluation plan include cultural stereotypes. Some students believe that they cannot perform as expected in school or in a particular subject due to lack of preparation from their home environment. This makes them believe they do not have enough potential to do well in a given subject when they get to school. For instance, some students may not have calculat.

HIS 100 Project 2: Historical Context and Introduction Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
“If you want to understand today, you have to search yesterday.”
—Pearl Buck
Your second project in this course is to complete a historical context and introduction project. The work you did on the Topic Exploration Worksheet in Theme 1
will directly support your work on this project as well as your third longer term project—the multimedia presentation—due in Theme 4.
One of the prime benefits of studying history is that it allows us to learn about who we are and where we came from. The people and events of the past can
often shed light on the conditions and social norms of the present. Having historical awareness can inform various aspects of your life as well as future
aspirations. Learning from past failures and successes can shape ideals and values for years to come.
This is your second longer-term project designed to help you understand the fundamental processes and value of studying history. In the first project, you
completed the Topic Exploration Worksheet on one of the topics or themes from the library guide. You investigated the types of research you might need to do
to learn more about the topic and developed research questions. In Project 2, you will use your completed Topic Exploration Worksheet to explore the
historical context and develop an introduction. You will choose one of your research questions and do some secondary source research, speculate on primary
source needs, and use the information to write the introduction and thesis statement for a possible research paper. (You will not write the entire paper—
only the introduction.) In the third project, you will create a multimedia presentation that explores both major developments in historical inquiry and the value
of examining history.
This research plan and introduction assignment will assess the following course outcome, which you focused on throughou.

I. Executive Summary
In this section, you should accurately highlight the essential elements of the intelligence report for quick reference by the agency receiving the report. You should include the name of referring agent (your name), the name of the agency that you are imagining you work for, the current date, dates of the activities being covered in the intelligence report, and a brief summary (two to three sentences) on the adversary, scope, and nature of the potential threat. Although this is the opening section of the report, you may wish to complete it last in order to accurately capture the analysis of the body of your report. (This section is the summary so be sure this section is brief. Additional relevant details should be written in their respective sections of the report.)
II. Adversary, Motivation, and Jurisdiction
Summary
Accurately summarize the intelligence collected from the SARs to date, focusing on the “who, what, when, where, why, and how” of the threat situation. Information should be annotated with dates and times from relevant SARs, and information from each date should be provided in a separate paragraph, from inception to most recent. Your summary should focus on connecting the dots, with as much detail as needed to present all the relevant intelligence. It should highlight information that would be of particular relevance for the law enforcement agency doing follow-up in understanding the potential threat. (If it makes it easier, you can format your first section as follows:
A. Who
B. What
C. When
D. Where
E. Why
F. How
Adversary
Determine who the adversary is for this potential threat. It may be an individual or a group. You should identify the names of suspects (if known) and also the type of adversary. For example, is the adversary an international terrorist group, a domestic terrorist group, an organized crime, a local or international gang, drug traffickers, an extremist or militia group, a hacker, or a white-collar criminal? Support your answer using relevant information from the SARs.
Range
Analyze the range of the adversary’s operations. Are their activities focused within one city or state or across multiple states? Support your answer with relevant information from the SARs.
Motivation
Analyze what is known about the adversary’s motivation and how that might affect their choice of target (individual or location). Might it affect whether they choose one target or many, the type of target they select, or the location of the attack? Support your answer with relevant information from the SARs.
Jurisdiction
Based on your analyses in Parts A–C above, determine which agency has jurisdiction in following up on the potential threat. For example, should local or state law enforcement follow up? Should federa.

Problem statement:
The specific problem to be addressed is how McDonald's is going to deal with a decrease in demand in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. The general problem to be addressed is how fast-food chains and food outlets are changing their operations during the pandemic of Corona Virus in the world, especially in the United States (Daniel, 2016).
You must always list your general problem statement first. Provide context for that statement. Then present your specific problem statement and provide context for that statement. Per the assignment instructions you should list your research questions following your problem statements.
The method selected for research:
To conduct research on the above-stated problem stated, the right methodThe research method that will be adopted in conducting the proposed research will be the mixed method approach a combination approach withwhich includes both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. A quantitative approach will help understand the insights into what is triggering a certain behavior in participants. While on the other hand, quantitative study is important to figure out the proportion of customers who is are not availing their previous interest in fast food and epically McDonald's (Apuke, 2017). But dueDue to the lockdown and social distancing, going in the market and conducting research is out of option. The suitable technique is to develop a flexible approach where both primary and secondary sources are sued. For secondary resources, the reports by McDonald's' Company and other institutions regarding the change in the food industry will be a suitable option. For primary data collection, developing an online survey is the safest option. For the qualitative study, online interviews can be scheduled. Both structured and unstructured interviews can be planned. Similarly, panel discussion over video calls is also a safe option. Through a mixed approach data for both quantitative and qualitative questions can be gathered (Yoshikawa & Kalil, 2008). Comment by Terrance Woods: What does this mean? Poor word choice. There is a critical need for a good instructional design because it is a multipurpose learning tools that not only serves instructional designers but also learners of all ages. According to Clark (2016), e-learning courses need to be integrated with instructional methods which align with high-quality research.” The implication is that the process of designing instructional designs should involve careful planning, preparing and researching in order to achieve high quality learning outcomes. In this regard, those responsible for designing must identify their strategic purpose as it predetermines the goals, objectives, expected outcomes, and resource allocation of the entire instruction model.
The main approach involves studying the critical elements in the design phases of an instructional model which enhances the learning experience of learners based on evidence-based literature. This is because humans apply appropriate cognitive processes to learn and thus instruction must adopt similar cognitive processing (Clark, 2016).The main purpose is therefore to emphasize the importance of good instructional design in enhancing the quality of education among instructors and learners. The objective involves highlighting the goals of an instructional program, the instructional objectives, relevant instructional materials and design assessment which rationalize the need for a good instructional design with the goal of engaging both learners and instructors. After all, learning is a process that requires the active participation of the learners (Reigeluth, 1987). This research study seeks to identify answers to two questions: a) What are the critical elements that build up a strong foundation for a good instructional design and b) what value do these elements offer to the learners and instructor who are the main consumers of learning instructional designs.

Fosters sharing of innovation and skills: bringing stakeholders who have diverse
perspectives together encourages the participants to view issues in new ways and help the
development of strategies that are new and innovative for a change.
MULTIPLE- STAKEHOLDER PROCESS 2
Promotes grassroots participation and mobilization: the simple existence promotes
participation of community and society companies in the policy debate. Also, it assists in
raising awareness of the main major actors.
Challenges
Inclusion: one of the main challenges of successful partnership is finding the right actors
and brings them to the table. As partnership experience has grown, a main lesson that has come
up is the importance of involving various stakeholders’ views. However, the identification of
important stakeholders and an important level of inclusion should derive directly from the
particular purpose and objective of the partnership.
Differentiating various types of partnership: Multi- stakeholder partnerships range
hugely in terms of functions, complexity, and scope, level of engagement, diversity, and size of
patterns. Various types of partnership get motivated by various factors, have different
governance requirements and face different operational problems. As a result, it is hard to note

Financial analysts as a discourse Community

For my analysis I have chosen a small tortilla factory that is loc.docxlmelaine
For my analysis I have chosen a small tortilla factory that is located here in Miami and where I work for a few months. In the time I was there I learned about the production process and the resources that are used in the manufacture of this type of food. The company is called Easy Foods Inc (EFI). They invested in a state-of-the-art facility in South Florida and filled it with new and better production equipment (Easy Foods Inc, 2015).

There are various risks; social risk and problems; governance risks; ethical criteria; financial criteria and quality management. There are risks that are connected with the increase of environmental cost. The environmental cost in TMC incorporate ecological degradation, energy crisis, environmental pollution that might affect the financial position of the company. The increase in the environmental cost have risk in material cost and might affect the sustainability reports of TMC with the real benefit as weighed in cost saving. Social risk that TMC might have the fact that they might have cause pollution which might affect the public and this might mean that they will not have the public support (Mion & Beghini, 2019).Comment by Jumana Ayoub: This is just an assertion; I cannot see explanation for it or supporting ideas related to the above risks
The risk of not following the ethical criteria when it comes to handling the environment. Controlling pollution caused by the products that they deal with is not easy for the organization to represent to the public. The company involves itself with the sustainable plant initiative whereby they deal with the ecological products, energy reduction, and energy conversion along with the local community involvement. It seems the social contribution sustainability is working in handling the issue of global warming for all the sustainable plants (Dang & Reynolds, 2017). Reduction in the cost of environmental cost is not working since every single year there is more need to handle the externalities since the production process is on the go which means more materials and products are being used.

On the other hand, the decision making process takes a lot of time before coming to a mutual conclusion hence termed as slow.

organization with poor ethical values at an organizational level.

Diversity and Inclusion Efforts That
Really Work

You must always list your general problem statement first. Provide context for that statement. Then present your specific problem statement and provide context for that statement. Per the assignment instructions you should list your research questions following your problem statements.
The method selected for research:

Music and Gender: Women Portrayal in Rap Music
The introduction of rap music in the 1980s was welcomed with a lot positivity. However, this genre of music has on many occasions been considered as being controversial. Rap music has been accused of advancing messages and themes that deal with sexism, violence, gender stereotyping and materialism. Previous studies on rap music have indicated the content found in rap music promotes negative behavior. Moreover, research has shown that rap music videos generally differ in their portrayals of men and women in music videos. Males are often cast in positive light compared to females who are depicted in positions that portray them as a submissive gender to males.
The scope of this research narrows down on rap music produced from the years 2016 to 2018.The songs selected for this research are songs with lyrics that have misogynistic themes on women. Rap songs are observed in normalizing, objectifying, glorifying, victimizing and even exploiting women. Moreover, the rap songs are observed in defaming women through using innuendos and stereotypical language which portray misogynistic and sexist perspectives. The main area of focus for this paper is on the kind of nouns that are used in rap music to refer to the concept of woman and ways in which these nouns depict women. It is critical for this project to investigate the lyrics and its representations, as rap music has in the past years been under criticism for increasingly presenting a negative and controversial image of women in the society. A theological perspective on these issues is undertaken at understanding and criticizing the misogynistic and sexist culture of rap music generally.
Men in rap music have a higher probability of perpetuating violence on women. A review done on the common rap images found out that women were more likely to be dressed in images which portrayed them in provocative ways, especially in videos that had sexual content. Research has suggested that the perpetuation of gender in the media is a theme which has been occurring for eons of time[footnoteRef:1]. Specifically, music and gender and the portrayal of women in rap music has not been extensively studied previously. It is essential to consider the differences of gender in rap music and the portrayal of women in this genre of music. Although scholars have attempted examining the interactions between rap music and religion, there has been a gap in regard to how artists frame religious messages within their lyrics. However, this lack of sufficient research does not reflect on the continued .

Brief introduction of Ohio City
Ohio is a great city named after the Ohio River in the 18th century. The area was disputed by the France and Great Britain. After the dispute, it established its own territories. This territory included the land where west of Pennsylvania in United States and the northwest of the Ohio River. The area covered more than 260,000 square miles (Turner, & Bogue 2010).
The History of Ohio City that has led to construction of Museums.
The area remained as a hunting ground by the Iroquois after the dispute. Later, some American groups began to migrate to the area. Later there was a seven years war between the Europeans, British and France. They all wanted to colonize the area. Unfortunately, the British worn and after the win, they ordered French settlers to leave the area. It is evident that the war brought about the breakdown of ethnicities.
How museum focus has been of great importance to the citizens of the city
The area is known for its landscape, mountains, rivers and minerals. This makes Ohio City to be a great city suitable for great museums. It is evident that, Ohio City creates the best environment for a museum with the theme of History and Natural History to be built. For instance, Miami River is known to be a great river. Many people admire visiting the area just to see the river. This creates the best conditions to build a museum. People within the city can also visit the museum and get to enjoy the benefits of the museums.
How people from outside the city benefit from the construction of the museums.
People outside Ohio City can also visit the museums. These museums will offer the history of the river to its visitors. They will also address an increasing array of issues in the dynamic environment (Edson, 2017).
Question 2
Permanent Exhibition.
Modern museum are designed to have a permanent exhibit, in this case the museum must have enough collections and classification of a field of knowledge for research and for display purposes. This will enlighten the visits about the history of Ohio City. The history stored in this museum will also be of great use to students as they will learn a lot in these museums,

In a bid to control the prevalence of diabetes among the African Americans, it is important to examine a number of attributes of culture that can empower a person towards changing a behavior. The factors may be positive, existential, and negative. Existential factors may be not harmful but need to be acknowledged. The importance of a family cannot be ignored especially because of the support they provide to diabetic patients. Family is therefore a positive cultural value which will assist in managing diabetes disease. This paper therefore seeks to address how each of the PEN-3 model’s three factors within the dimension of cultural empowerment applies to the African American group.
It is important to explore by identifying several cultural beliefs and practices that are positive, existential and negative. Positive factors are likely to lead to an improvement by reducing the prevalence of diabetes among the African Americans. Existential factors are existing cultural values and beliefs that may have no harmful health consequences. Cultural practices that may act as barriers in controlling the prevalence of diabetes among the African Americans are the negative factors. Example of these negative practices includes poor nutrition leading to obesity.
Positive Factors
The positive factors which will influence management and control of diabetes among the African Americans include spirituality and family. For example, talking about a family affair with diabetes will make a great impact in controlling diabetes among the African Americans. This is because it will create awareness of how to handle and deal with diabetes. Spirituality will have a positive impact in controlling the prevalence of diabetes among the African Americans. African Americans who have spiritual faith are likely to engage in activities which will reduce the prevalence of the disease.
Existential Factors
Existential factors include faith healing. A belief in faith healing is a factor which is likely to reduction in prevalence of diabetes among the African Americans. Individuals who are religious are likely to visit religious leaders to seek healing and intervention. Many individuals confess that they got healed after being prayed for by the Pastors and other religious leaders. This is attributed to believing in faith healing.
Negative Factors

Program evaluation plan (part 2)
In order to ensure that the “gender equity for girls in math” education program which applies to master’s level students is efficient in fulfilling the outlaid goals, the goal based approach of evaluation should be applied in evaluating the effectiveness of the program. The major objective of this education program is to empower the girl child and to ensure that there are increase female students taking courses in mathematics at higher education levels (Markovits & Forgasz, 2017). In this case therefore, the evaluators has to establish if the establishment of this program will promote the positivity and capability of girls to take courses in Mathematics and to increasingly love the subject even in the lower classes so as to portray an increased number in the number of girls pursing this course in the masters level.
The goal based approach of evaluation will help the school evaluator to be able to determine how they can ensure that all the institutions are able to empower the girl child and encourage them to increasingly perfect their skills in mathematics in order to see a reflection of changes in the higher education levels (Sarouphim & Chartouny, 2017). This evaluation technique will help the education program creators to determine if the program is efficient in attaining the set objects through checking the outcomes of the implementation of the program over certain period of time.
The gender equality for girls in Math is a program that is anticipated to help the girl children be able to resolve their issues that result from fear and insecurities which cause them to undermine their power and be left behind by the boy child in regard to prosperity in Mathematics (Ganley.et.al, 2018). Therefore, the evaluators will have a role of determining the broader impacts of this approach as well as investigate what greater good is served as a result of this program. This will include identify the consequences that the program will have on other courses which most female students major in and how the male students will be affected by the program. The goals based evaluation method will help establish the objectives which can be added in the program to make it have optimal results to both girls and boys as well as ensure that other courses that are male dominated portray gender equality (Stoehr.et.al, 2017).
The major areas where the evaluators will assess include; the goals of the program, the outcomes of the program as well as the consequences. The main questions concerning these areas will be; what are the objectives of the program? How will the program be able to meet these goals? How do the goals of the program align with the activities involved.

Application of Social Cognitive Theory in Information Science and Education
Social cognitive theory first started as a social learning theory by Albert Bandura for application in psychology. Jenkins, Hall, and Raeside (2018) asserted that, regarding the deployment of social cognitive theory in understanding information seeking behavior and use, the social cognitive theory had been used to explore significant areas. Such areas like consumption of social media content, information retrieval skills in the academic field, information retrieval skills at the workplace, information literacy in the educational field and day to day life information seeking. For instance, Kim (2010) used the theory to explore expectation differences in students of different genders when using university library website resources. With regards to knowledge sharing, Jenkins et al. (2018) found that social cognitive theory has been used to explore various fields like blogging and knowledge management systems.
In the field of education, Erlich and Russ-Eft (2011) reviewed the application of social cognitive theory to academic advising for assessment of student learning. Specifically, the researchers applied the social cognitive theory concepts of self-regulated learning as well as self-efficacy for the study. This medium is because these concepts have been successfully applied to education. The idea that learners should be able to recognize, create as well as choose their career plans for successful navigation through their college life contains the elements of self-efficacy concept and self-regulated learning. For instance, Erlich and Russ-Eft (2011) indicated that the confidence in achieving academic plans at a given level could be an indication of a student’s ability to perform academic planning activities at a complex level, which is a demonstration of increased efficacy. Learner’s self-regulated learning skills may help in understanding the learning mechanisms by which a learner acquired the strategies and tactics for performing academic planning activities with independence and sophistication.

Program Design to Promote Social Goals in American K12 Schools
Explanation of Each Initiative
The three main initiatives of promoting social goals in school will include: promoting moral and character education, improving children’s health and nutrition, and creating school communities through extracurricular activities, after school programs, and school spirits (Rissanen et al. 2018). Comment by Evelyn Young: The 3 initiatives are clearly stated. Although did Rissanen et al. propose these 3 initiatives to promote social goals in schools? If these are your arguments, take credit for them. No need to give credit to Rissanen et al. for formulating the thesis for your paper.
I think that your paper could have used an introduction followed by the thesis statement.
Explanation of Each Initiative
Moral education is meant to promote good conduct among school-going children, not just within their immediate social relationships, but also in their dealings with their fellow citizens. This initiative is premised on the need for students to possess clear ideals and judgments on what action are right and what are wrong, including the determination of students’ conduct through a constant reference to those ideals. Moral education will be offered as a social goal to enlighten students on a system of rules and norms that regulate the social interactions of people on concepts of welfare, such as harm, trust, justice, and rights. For some students, issues related to values, personal feelings, and societal norms are constructs for discussions and are as such viewed as being influenced by the manner in which morality taught or experienced in schools, churches, and social institution settings. Moral education will be meant to reduce criminal and deviant behaviors among students. Moral character is required in schools because many parents do not teach their children morality issues.
The health and nutrition initiative is meant to improve the physical and mental well being of students. This initiative has the potential to improve the quality of students’ urban life, strengthen the ability of poor children to excel in their studies, and to compensate them for the substandard home and school environments spawned by competitive, inequitable social order. Health and nutritional initiatives will be strengthened through planning and introducing curriculum on nutrition with educational activities. These will include physical activities, which are combined with the farm to school programs that motivate students to consume healthy diets. Indeed, the hybrid school-based nutritional programs have major influence on attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors associated with fruits and vegetable consumption diffused throughout a bigger urban community (Dudley Cotton & Peralta, 2015). This hybrid intervention includes combining district stra.

Grouping Strategy for Ms. Jensen
The arrangement of the student in the class should be based on their proficiency level while factoring the different capabilities of each student. The teacher should ensure that the both fast learners and slow learners are catered in terms of understanding how to handle their comprehension capabilities. The class has three categories of student, basic, intermediate and proficient.
Cooperative Learning
Cooperative grouping is based on the differences among the children in terms of their learning abilities. Li & Lam (2013) states that cooperative grouping is best suited for situations where students have learning abilities which are differing. The grouping technique is implemented following the analysis of the heterogeneous factors such that students should be grouped depending gender, economic background, culture, race and ethnicities. The ranking of students should follow the descending order starting with the highest to the lowest. To make a ranking legend, the teacher should use L for low achiever, M for medium achievers and H for highest achievers. The grouping should include at least one student from each category for the purposes of achieving diversity. The grouping system should however be done without involving the students as such could encourage discrimination. The issues of gender should be defined effectively to avoid the majority of gender in any of the group.
Rationale for Placement
The strategy is important and useful for the given case because students have different abilities and proficiency. The grouping strategy also promotes involvement of all students since the group is designed in manner which facilitates individual contribution. Tsay & Brady (2012) states that the cooperative grouping is important since it allows for the development of critical thinking skills and communication skills.
Conclusion
Ms. Jensen’s class has students with different abilities and varying English proficiency. Cooperative grouping is effective for 7th grade children since it allow them to exchange information amongst themselves while encouraging collaborative learning. Students are more likely to improve their self-esteem and moralization to study English tasks since group composition allows individual contribution and peer discussions.

Nurses, being the initial contacts for patients in any most health facilities and the fact they interact or engage with patients more when compared to other providers of care constitute a critical component of the healthcare system. Consequently, nurses play a much huge role in making sure that the healthcare system provides not only safe care but also and care of high standard or quality (Sato, Hase, Osaka, Sairyo & Katoh, 2018). However one of the major healthcare or nursing issue over the years is the fall and associated injuries which have proved not only difficult for healthcare providers and facility to manage. For instance, and according to DuPree, Fritz-Campiz & Musheno, (2014), Unintentional falls constitute the highest cause of non-fatal injuries among people over 65 years in the US. Moreover, one in every three individuals above 65 years falls at least one time in a given year. In addition, injuries from falls cause the highest number of accidental deaths among people 65-year-old and above (Tricco, Thomas, Veroniki, Hamid, Cogo, Strifler & Riva, 2017). Such statistics coupled with the extent of the costs associated with fall call for proper intervention to reduce falls and their associated injuries. For instance, the government spends billions of dollars on fall and their associated injuries on treating falls. The prevention of fall would provide increased funds for investment in other social programs aimed at improving both healthcare and addressing social or communal problems (Zakrajsek, Schuster, Wells, Williams & Silverchanz, 2018).
In addition, falls and their related injuries are responsible for almost 15% of the recorded hospitalization. This increases the burden of healthcare providers especially given the numerous stressors like staff shortage, huge workloads, leadership problems and personal factors among others. An increase in falls and associated injury, therefore, is detrimental to the provision of quality care as captured under the healthy 2020 program goal of reducing deaths that result from falls. Comment by Nelson, Emily Jeanette: Reference needed Comment by Nelson, Emily Jeanette: Reference needed
Despite this, falls are very complex and difficult to manage or prevent. Given the implications that falls bear on the patients, the healthcare providers and the healthcare system as a whole (Joseph, Henriksen & Malone, 2018), there has been increased There has been an increased research focus towards fall prevention and reduction strategies. As a result, there exist a significant amount of literature regarding the reduction and prevention of falls..

Professional Development Proposal Program
The need for organizational efficiency is driving the need for understanding the competency of individuals that generate effectiveness. The emotional intelligence capabilities help explain considerable as well as significant variances in accepting and predicting performance in capability studies. Emotional intelligence is the ability to monitor personal feelings and emotions visa vie other people’s feelings and emotions and use the information to guide personal thinking and actions. Management can rely on employees’ emotional building blocks to not only enhance their performance, but also their job satisfaction levels. The most important emotional intelligence building blocks that enhance employee performance and job satisfaction are social skills, self-awareness, self regulation, self motivation and empathy. Managers will use emotional intelligence to identify the positive and negative reinforcement of motivation to enhance employee morale within the organization. Positive reinforcement motivation tools are the rewards given to employees for exemplary performance while negative reinforcement is the penalty or punishment for poor performance.
Leaders can use the concept of emotional intelligence to enhance their social skills and decision-making skills in management. Emotional intelligence plays a critical role in helping persons requiring social skills to help them deal with social situations. Given that building strong relationship is one aspect of effective leadership, there is need for organizational leaders to build capacity in social skills for better organizational performance. Leaders can also utilize the concept of emotional intelligence to enhance their decision-making skills. Emotionally intelligent decision makers rely on self-awareness and self-management to determine their appropriate duties in decision making process. Decision makers use these skills to determine whether they have the necessary orientation to a problem.
Emotionally intelligent leaders strive for the establishment of effective teams to help realize organizational and team goals. Effective teams have clear purpose and goals, engage in consensus decision making, shared leadership and embrace open communication. To develop effective teams, departmental managers must define the team’s purpose and goals, define the roles for each group member and quickly identify and resolve conflicts. Finally, there is need to develop both extrinsic and intrinsic reward systems for employee motivation and improved performance.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Public advocacy is considered to be activities that involve the
individuals or groups to influence and offer support to a given
cause or policy. It takes place both in public and also in private
institutions. Some of the advocacy groups that we have includes
the lobbyist and the special interest groups which are helping in
advocating in the public realm. In addition, we also have the
patient advocates who are based in the hospitals and help in the
process of protecting the rights of the patients, In business,we
have the nonprofit groups who ensure that consumers are treated
fair in the marketplaces. Multiple stakeholder processes are
considered to be the process which is aiming at bringing all the
key stakeholders together to make some decisions about some
2. particular issues by consulting widely to ensure that the
opportunity for the engagement is maximized (Malek, Budhwar
& Reiche, 2015).
Identify and research at least two examples of companies that
have been impacted by the campaigns of public advocacy
groups. What is the value of democratic inputs in business
decision making?
The two companies that have been impacted by the campaign of
the public advocacy group include companies like Apple and the
Koch Company. Apple is an international company that is
dealing with the production of the electronics such the iPad,
iPhone and televisions. On the other side, Koch Company is
also one of the companies that have been impacted by the
campaigns of the public advocacy. We have realized that the
company deals with the production of the Angel Soft toilet
papers and it also deals with the parts of the iPhone. Apple is
influenced by the campaigns of the public advocacy that it
engages in the policy discussion and discuss matters that are
base on their business. Apple clients in some of the areas that
include the intellectual property, privacy and also environment.
The company is actually trying to ensure that they help in the
policy-making of the government to understand their products,
their business and the innovation they use (Chai, Kim & Kim,
2018).
We have also realized that Koch Company has also been
impacted by the campaigns of the advocacy groups by ensuring
that they are have come up with the system to ensure that there
is loyalty, honor, personal courage, respect and integrity in the
company among the workers and also to the public. The value of
democratic inputs in these two companies is actually to ensure
that the companies are complying with public policies and
regulations that help them to make decisions which are
benefiting everyone in the market to ensure that there are a
good relationship and good policies for the business and to the
public (Epstein, 2018).
Identify and list all of the sustainability stakeholders at Top
3. Shelf. Does each group have equal weight throughout the
program development process? When should each be brought
into the discussion?
We have realized that the sustainable stakeholder at Top shelf is
actually responsible to ensure that they are able solve the
unconventional problem and also ensure that there is leadership
which is visionary especially when it comes to business. The
list of sustainable stakeholders at the Top shelf includes
marketing stakeholders, the programming stakeholders, project
stakeholder, and the analysis stakeholder. All the stakeholders
are responsible to ensure that they are able to determine the
most efficient and profitable ways to launch a product and also
solve the problems which are external and internal concerning
the market challenges (Geissdoerfer, Bocken & Hultink, 2016).
Each group of the stakeholders does not have equal weight
through the program development process because each group is
a tasked with specific responsibility. In the development
process there some of the decisions that need the high profile
stakeholders to handle. We have realized that each of the
stakeholders should be brought in the discussion when making a
general decision to the whole system that requires all input.
Each shareholder can also be brought in the discussion when
there is a problem that is affecting the whole business and the a
proper strategy that should be made out. They can also be
brought into discussion when the annual reports are needed and
discuss the challenges that have been witnessed so that
recommendations can be implemented on the problems (Line,
Runyan & Gonzalez-Padron, 2018).
Explain the advantages of implementing a multiple-stakeholder
process that significantly influences a company's agenda for
sustainability.
The advantages of implementing a Multiple –stakeholder
process which is significantly influences the company's agenda
for the sustainability is that multiple- stakeholder provides a
long line of business experience. The stakeholders who are
having a large invested interest in the business assists in sharing
4. experiences that they have in the business world. This helps the
company to realize some of the problems that the business is
likely to go through and find a way of solving the problems so
that they don't affect the business. The experience by the
multiple- stakeholders also helps in providing the company with
different ideas on different management skills that are supposed
to be incorporated in the company (Martin & Rice, 2015).
The other advantage of having multiple-stakeholders in the
company is to help in solving anticipated potential problems.
The stakeholder will help the owners of the company to
anticipate some of the issues that might go wrong in the
business. This is because most of the multiple-stakeholders are
having different backgrounds and also levels of experiences
which would help them to see issues that the owners of the
business may not be able to see. The multiple- stakeholders may
also have experience with the potential vendors which the
company is in need of and they can help the company with the
first-hand testimony to work with the vendor and this will make
the business to have positive changes that help the company to
thrive well in the production a provision of the services (Payne
& Calton, 2017).
Describe the challenges in a multiple-stakeholder process for
developing a sustainable business plan. Do the interests of one
group outweigh the others?
The challenge that involves the multiple-stakeholder process for
the development of the sustainable business plan is that the
stakeholders may represent their own interest. We have realized
that some of the stakeholders may be just focusing their own
interest. For instance, external stakeholders such as the
political appointees may not have the heart to work to the
interest of the company by not offering something genuine that
helps the company. Instead they’ll want the company to comply
with their personal interest.. We have realized that having
multiple-stakeholders can sometimes be a problem because
some will vote against a part of the proposals which are very
vital to the company because they fear losing money. Then you
5. will find that their focus is based on their financial interest than
the needs of the company. Some of the stakeholders feel that
their interest should be acted upon immediately in the company
which to some extent leads to conflict in the company (Van
Esterik, 2017).
The other challenge is that multiple- stakeholders may have
blocked progress of developing a sustainable business plan of
the company. For example, most of the stakeholders have fear
that an action of the business may harm their stock interest
which could actually lead to the failure of the business.
Resulting to not having harmony in the decision-making process
on the vital things and issues that may help in developing the
company. One of the challenges that is also common with the
multiple stakeholders in developing sustainable business plan is
the slow decision making implementation. The different
opinions that are coming from the other stakeholders are due to
some will want things to be done their way and this complicates
the implementation process of the vital proposals made in the
business (Malek, Budhwar & Reiche, 2015).
Develop a step-by-step plan for implementing a multiple-
stakeholder process. Your plan should assure the credibility of
Top Shelf's sustainability plan in the public sphere and also be
effective in meeting the goal of sustainability.
The step-by-step plan for implementing a multiple-stakeholder
plan involves three steps (Chai, Kim & Kim, 2018).
· The first step is to initiate the process and this involves
initiating the objectives and also including the scope of the
initiative. Initial analysis of the situation is done at this stage
and this involves the stakeholders their interests and
expectations. The process also includes establishing the
coordination team.
· The other step that involves the process of implementing a
multiple-stakeholder plan is to ensure that sustainable
collaboration is built. In this process, a consensus is actually
built based on the shared vision in future. The process also
involves making sure that the consultations and the process that
6. involves decision making are inclusive and participatory. Trust
and sharing of the values from each and everyone in the
stakeholder is also considered to be key in this case, it also
includes embracing the concerns and the interests of the
stakeholders. The outcomes should be communicated to the
stakeholders frequently so that they can have a good
approaching style that is effective.
· The third process of developing multiple-stakeholder
implementation process is managing the collaborations which
involve the process of ensuring that there are detailed and
concrete actions plans and also ensure that relevant sources and
support are secured. This also involves developing the capacity
and building the existing talent of the multiple-stakeholders
who are involved in the company. Managing collaboration also
embraces establishing management mechanism which will help
in the process of building in conflict resolution mechanism
Suggest metrics for tracking the progress.
Metrics is considered to be the wide variety of the tools which
are used by the managers and also executives to help in the
process of evaluating the performance of the employees, the
services, the products and also the satisfaction of the customers.
In this case, the matrix that I would suggest in tracking the

involves the customer satisfaction, services request an also
operation request (Van Esterik, 2017).
