of my state lacrosse team we have our first tournament this weekend and I don t wanna be the
reason that we lose. I was originally a D pole for my city team but my coach for state thought
otherwise. I could run the field in 20 seconds flat. At least that is what my coach said. I started
out the day with a couple fakes and spin moves nothing hard just the kind of stuff you need to
know when you want to start. My sister decides to come and play me in a 1v1 (me and my sister
are competitive) I accept so we go to the plains across the street I bring the net along with us. I just
school her badly 10:0 she challenged me at my own game 1st mistake.
We head back every day I have lacrosse practice at 3:30 until 5:30 that is the best practice ever
because all we do is get in the middle and get on top both 1v1 games against your own teammate. I
used to play D pole like I said but now it is easier to use a short pole. I go through my day of 3
hours in the morning of practice at the plains across the street and hanging with friends doing
more lacrosse. Then it becomes 3 and I have to leave for lacrosse so I grab my gear bag and longer

Existentialists focus on the question that is a concrete human existence, and the conditions of such
existence; they do not dwell on a hypothesis for human essence, instead they stress that this
essence is determined by an individual s own life choices. Although humans live in the world, a
distance is created in order to add meaning to the disinterested world; however, this meaning is
fragile and can be disturbed by tragedy or insight. When this disturbance occurs, and human s
precarious lives crumble, the true nature of the world is revealed; a nature that shows little
importance for humans; this way of thinking created the, post WWII era, worldwide explosion of
ambiguous literature, and the sensory perception of art and music; heavily influenced by the idea of
human worthlessness.
Literature Existentialism, though it had been present since the 19th century, came of age in the mid
20th Century. This was largely through the scholarly and fictional works of the French
existentialists, Jean Paul Sartre, Albert Camus and Simone de Beauvoir. The heavily influenced post

The United States of America is considered to be the most prominent example of a democracy, as
it was the first modern state to elect a president as the head of the state. Yet, more accurately, the
U.S. is a democratic republic, where the citizens who are entitled to vote have the power to elect
representatives in various branches of the government to rule. Such form of democracy, where the
people elect (directly or indirectly) representatives to rule is a representative democracy, and
although its name suggests it to be, representative democracy is significantly different than a true
democracy.
The word democracy is derived from the Latin words demos and kratia . Demos signifies people
or the masses, while kratia signifies rule or government . Therefore, democracy signifies a society
where the citizens ultimately rule themselves and the nation. On the other hand, a representative
democracy signifies a society where the representatives hold offices of power in order to rule. For
a society to be truly a democratic one, ultimately, the people need to rule. So in order to determine
whether a representative democracy is a true democracy, one needs to determine whether the people
ultimately have the power to rule the state in the representative democracy.

Prior to the Ripper killings, the Metro Police force was created. Even before the killings Women,
especially Prostitutes and women who had jobs of that nature were being discriminated against. In
1888, Jack started to take his stand. He took the lives of prostitutes to show how he was against it
and how he disliked the rise women were trying to take. He mutilated the women and then dumped

What kind of public history issues does an individual encounter daily at their local community s
historical society? The public history issues that I have come across in my professional experience
include topics as memory, oral histories, and the categorizing of archives. For my professional
experience hours, I am volunteering at Los Alamos local historical society, where the organization
is currently conducting several oral histories and cataloging their archives. While conducting oral

The idea of memory can relate to such examples photos, quotes, and how a landscape or town use
to appear can connect to the issue of oral history. The connection allows the historian to help those
that they are interviewing recall on their experiences. The connection between the two has caused
me to realize that primary accounts can be very subjective. About previous coursework, I learned
that oral histories should subjectively view these accounts as the recollection of an event by the
individual may have faded with age. The concepts of memory and oral history have been an active
issue in my experience. One instance that I have noticed when interviewing several Manhattan
Project Veterans is their recollection of dates, which revolve around certain historical events as the
Trinity Test. In one interview, a veteran informed me that he began working in Los Alamos on
the Manhattan Project in 1942 and that the Trinity Test took place in the June of 1945. The
interview provides an excellent example of how a primary source s account of an event can fade
over time as the laboratory at Los Alamos did not open until 1943, and the test at the Trinity site
took place in July of 1945. Learning from the interview, I immediately connect this to my prior
coursework bringing photos of the Los Alamos area during the 1940s to my next oral history
interview.

Do you like war? Do you despise war? Have you ever attempted to help someone during a war,
probably not though? In The Book Thief, there is a girl named Liesel who were adopted by
Hans and Rosa Hubermann and they helped harbor a Jew during WWII. In The Things They
Carried, is about a soldier named Jimmy Cross who adores an English major named Martha and
then one of the soldiers gets shot and assassinated which makes Jimmy forget about Martha and
become a better leader. In The Book Thief and The Things They Carried have some similarities
and differences and some of them I ll explain with literary devices. The theme for The Book Thief
is death/war/brutality and the theme for The Things They Carried is to focus on what s more
