The document is a sermon discussing how Christians should treat one another and avoid causing division. It encourages believers to focus on agreement over disagreement and not judge each other, while still discerning right from wrong based on the Bible. Christians are urged to pursue peace, unity, and building each other up rather than tearing each other down over minor matters.
Philippians 1:12-14 Magnifying Christ. John said Jesus must increase and he must decrease. Christians should be magnifying Christ and diminishing themselves. We do this by defending the gospel, preaching Christ, trusting Christ, living without shame, living for Christ, producing fruit, desiring to be with Him, Putting others needs first, fellowshipping fellow christians, working together with other christians.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
2. Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: Do you think God means what He says? I know He does . It's high time that Christians love one another, encourage one another, build up one another. We have no right and no reason to judge one another; God is the Judge.
3. This does not mean that we should not judge words and deeds to be right or wrong. If the Bible calls it evil, it is evil, and to be shunned. If the Bible says a thing is good, it is good, and to be obeyed. Worship
4. 13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather , that no man put a stumbling-block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. 1 Corinthians 11 31 For if we would judge our-selves , we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. I need to examine my own life , submitting to God's Holy Spirit, to know that I am doing right. When if find myself wrong , I need to repent.
5. Psalms 37 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in His way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand .
6. 13b but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling-block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. Be very careful not to hinder a brother or sister in his or her walk with the Lord. Don't try to convince anyone to go against his or her conscience. Don't discourage anyone or put anyone down.
7. 14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Matters of conscience Matters about which the Bible is silent. When the Bible clearly speaks, all things are settled; God's Word is absolute .
8. 15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably (agape) . Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. 16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of: Back to the original example of food . And the concept of Christian love .
9. Whether we eat meat or not is not an issue. But to hinder our fellow Christians, by flaunting our liberty , is a major issue. Don't be that person who causes another to stumble or fall.
10. 17 For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. To focus on any of the temporal things of this world -- food, drink, clothes, cars, pleasures -- Is to miss the best of the Kingdom of God.
11. 1 Peter 3 (NIV) 10 For, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. 11 He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it . Nothing evil is going to bring peace to your soul or joy to your heart and mind. Doing the Will of God with all your heart will bring peace and joy. To the Will of God
12. Nothing of this world will bring lasting peace or happiness to any of us. John 15 10 If ye keep My Commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's Commandments, and abide in His love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that My Joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
13. Rom 14:18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. 19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace , and things wherewith one may edify another . Too many Christians focus on the points about which we may disagree , While ignoring the many points on which we agree .
14. 19 Let us therefore follow after (pursue) the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. The subject throughout this passage is matters of conscience . We are not discussing the Biblical absolutes of right and wrong .
15. 20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. 21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Don't major in the minors. The spiritual welfare of our brothers and sisters is far more important than what we eat or drink.
16. 22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. 23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin . Anything that brings guilt into your heart -- don't do it . A good test: Can you give God thanks for it? Other things that are clearly not of faith : Fear, doubt, worry, giving up,
17. On matters of conscience I should not try to force another person into my mold ; That destroys the harmony among us. We should all obey the Word of God in everything.
18. I have been teaching Christians how to live in harmony. But, if you are not saved today, the most vital thing you can do is accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Put your faith and trust in the God of the Bible, and His Son , Jesus Christ. Ask God, in the Name of Jesus, to save you , from the bondage of sin and the torments of hell .
