The Islamic and Christian prophecies of last things are in many ways similar, but come to radically different conclusions as to the identity of the main players, especially the Madhi, Isa, and al Dajjal.
There are incompatibilities between Islam and Christianity in the Qur'an (Koran) and Bible. We study the theological problems, the underlying philosophy, and support for Biblical truth
This is a summary largely taken from a book called Faith That Endures. The author has done more than document persecution. He explores the causes of persecution, their manifestations, and how to help rather than aggravate persecution. His book is very important and revealing
Attempts to compromise by using the Muslim friendly Bible and for the Muslim convert to stay within the umma, performing the salat, zakat, Hajj, etc. The Muslim convert is thus cut off from the benefits of the Christian church fellowship
Modern approaches to Muslim evangelism include the so called Insider Movement and Common Ground. Both compromise the truth of Christian faith in an attempt to win over Muslim converts. My contention is that one must trust Biblical truth, stand firm in the faith and present the gospel in a clear form to Muslims. Contextualization is fine to make a subject understandable, but the truth of the message must never be compromised. This compromise distorts the faith, undermines the position of true converts, and deprives Muslim converts to Christianity of the truths they need to experience the power of the truly committed Christian life.
This section and the following are largely adapted from Roland Muller's text on reaching the Muslim community through the messenger, message, and community. Each area is briefly outlined.
Folk religion deals with evil spirits often with a shaman, etc. All major religions, including Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism have both a formal traditional religion and also some form of folk religion. This outlines some of the folk religion found in a variety of places among the more than 1,000,000,000 Muslims.
The Qur'an and Bible agree in many places, but also directly conflict. Islam uses the law of abrogation to handle places where the Qur'an changes from one position to another. The Qur'an also denies the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, the deity of Christ, the rellationship between God the Father and the Son, and the trinity, all of which are vital to the Christian faith.
The Muslim family is strong, as is the umma, or Muslim community. Such characteristics as loyalty, honor, avoiding shame, hospitality, and the relationship of man and women are key. One's identity is tied to the family group. In addition to the father, the eldest son has great responsablity. Women's chastity is vital for family honor.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.

Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. 4. The world system – kosmos
The world - kosmos = the system which
satan has devised.
Its basis is SELF – and corresponds to
our old fleshly nature, which came from
satan himself
5. Do not LOVE this world
I Jn. 2:15 Love not the world, neither the
things that are in the word. If any man love
the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16. For all that is in the world, the lust
of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the
Father, but is of the world. 17. And the
world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but
he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.
6. Love not the World…
James 4:4 Ye alulterers and adul-
teresses, know ye not that the friend-
ship of the world is enmity with
god? Whosoever therefore will be a
friend of the world is an enemy of
God. 5. Do ye think that the scripture
saith in vain, the Spirit that dwelleth in
us lusteth to envy?
7. In the world, but not of the
world…
Jn. 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest
take them out of the world; but that thou
shouldest keep them from the evil. 16.
They are not of the world, even
as I am not of the world.
8. Be not conformed to the
world
Romans 12: I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service. 2. And be not
conformed to this world, but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

temptation can occur

but follow righteousness, faith, charity,
peace, with them that call on the Lord
out of a pure heart.

2 Tim. 2:24-26 And the servant of the Lord
must not strive; but be gentle unto all men,
apt to teach, patient, 25. In meekness
instructing those that oppose themselves; if
God peradventure will give them repentance
to the acknowledging of the truth; 26. And
that they may recover themselves out of the
snare of the devil, who are taken captive by
him at his will.
11. How do we resist the devil and
win the victory?
The primary site of the battle is in
our mind - between the kingdom of
darkness & light
We must have a functional faith based
on truth.
We win with the truth Jn. 17:17 Sanctify
they through thy truth; thy word is truth
12. Thus we must control our
thought life:
2 Cor. 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh,
we do not war after the flesh; 4. (For the
weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but
mighty through God to the pulling down of
strongholds:) 5. Casting down imaginations,
and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing
into captivity every though to the
obedience of Christ.

When we think that we are something which we are
not:
Gal. 6:3 [3] For if a man think himself to be something,
when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Rom. 12:3[3] For I say, through the grace given unto me, to
every man that is among you, not to think of himself more
highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according
as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
But it is not to our credit, but through the grace of God - give
Him glory

We are wise in this age: I Cor. 3:[18] Let no man
deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be
wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may
be wise.[19] For the wisdom of this world is
foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the
wise in their own craftiness
Use the mind of Christ and acknowledge Him every day - I
Cor. 2:[16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that
he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
When we are religious but we don’t control our
tongue: James 1:26

Proverbs 3: [5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and
lean not unto thine own understanding.[6] In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
When we are religious but we don’t control our
tongue: James 1: [26] If any man among you seem to
be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth
his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

When we think that we will not reap what we
sow: Gal. 6: [7] Be not deceived; God is not
mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap.
When we think that we can associate with bad
companions and not be effected: I Cor. 15: [33]
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt
good manners.

When we think that the unrighteous will inherit
the earth: I Cor. 6:[9] Know ye not that the
unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of
God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor
abusers of themselves with mankind,[10] Nor
thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor
revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the
kingdom of God

Thinking that if we hear the word we don’t
need to do it.
James 1:22 [22] But be ye doers of the word,
and not hearers only, deceiving your own
selves.
Sometimes we think that we must model
perfection - but we can only model growth - to
see how we handle failure as well as success

When we say we have no sin: I Jn. 1:[8] If we
say that we have no sin, we deceive
ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we
confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness
We need to confess our sins and keep short
accounts with God
