 The project aimed at preparing a development plan at a regional level and for this the district of Nainital
was taken as a study area.
 Data were collected and analyzed for physical as well as manmade features all over the districts.
 Sectors covered in this project were vegetation cover, slope analysis, Settlement pattern, Economy and
employment, Demography, Industry, Agriculture, Social and Physical infrastructure etc.
 Land suitability maps were prepared for different uses.
8. City Development Plan of Aurangabad Maharashtra (SEM III)
 Detailed Project Report for city development plan of Aurangabad was prepared.
 All the primary data were collected regarding traffic and travel characteristics and tourism and secondary
data were collected regarding different sectors like Demography, Economy, Industry, Housing, Social and
physical Infrastructure etc
 All the collected data were analyzed and represented spatially using GIS software.
 Suitability of available land for different uses were being done with the help of GIS software.
 Land use survey was being done and updated land use map was prepared.
