The document discusses building effective teams. It covers team elements, roles, and activities. Team elements include goals, roles, interpersonal relationships, and processes. Common team roles include plant, resource investigator, coordinator, shaper, monitor-evaluator, teamworker, implementer, and completer-finisher. The document also discusses Meredith Belbin's team role model and the "five dysfunctions of a team" which includes absence of trust, fear of conflict, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability, and inattention to results.

Culture for great teams and results: The Core Protocols at GOTO academyChristian Délez
Your team can be ten times better.
What does that mean? That means your professional team can accomplish 10x more work, do it with 10x more quality, 10x faster, or with 10x less resources. Your family can be 10x happier. Your school can be 10x more effective at helping people learn. Your community group can be 10x better at making life better for the people it serves. Even you yourself can be 10x more effective at getting what you want. In other words, you can be great. Your team can be great.
Greatness
Can you say these things about your teams?
1. My projects are completed effortlessly on schedule and in budget every time.
2. Every team I’ve ever been on has shared a vision.
3. In meetings, we only ever do what will get results.
4. No one blames “management," or anyone else, if they don’t get what they want.
5. Everybody shares their best ideas right away.
6. Ideas are immediately unanimously approved, improved, or rejected by the team.
7. Action on approved ideas begins immediately.
8. Conflict is always resolved swiftly and productively.
The Core Protocols are one way to make teams that have these characteristics.
Some of the things you’ll learn:
• Results-oriented behaviors,
• How to enter a state of shared vision with a team and stay there,
• How to create trust on a team
• How to stay rational and healthy
• How to make team decisions effectively, and
• How to move quickly and with high quality towards the team’s goals
The session takes a journey into the question “Why the question of Challenges in Agile Mindset even after 16 years of Agile Manifesto?”. People walk into Agile world being exited, skeptical, pushed by circumstances or wanting for something better. Irrespective of how they come in, most of them board the journey. A few excel, a few survive and a few quit. Frequently we talk about Agile Mindset and its challenges, however very seldom do we speak about transformation at the level of mindset. Mesmerized in the hypes and attractions, newness, people jump in with whatever mindset they are in. How do we even expect Agile Mindset to work or even inspire Agility without addressing the possibilities of agile mindset. This session at Regional Scrum Gathering took the participants into a trans-formative inquiry into the possibilities in an agile journey that goes far beyond a business transformation and Inspiring Agility as a matter of choice.

I often hear complaints that we don’t have enough great leaders in our organizations.
If, as Jerry Weinberg points, leadership is a process of creating an environment where people become empowered let’s focus on how we create and evolve environments we work at.
One issue is the system. W. Edwards Deming famously said that a bad system will defeat a good person every time. Then we should discuss how we build our teams and how it contributes to our goals. Finally, we have organizational culture that is blood of every company and influence all behaviors.
All these bits are inseparably interconnected thus if we want to create an environment where leadership thrives we need to take all of them into account.
Let’s take a look at how these ideas may be applied in practice. In Lunar Logic eventually but inevitably everyone becomes a leader. We simply pay attention to how the organization is designed in a broader context. That’s the story I will share.
After all, there's no shortage of leaders, only a shortage of companies that let leadership emerge.

Performance conversations that are regular and focussed is critical to managing performance in a team. What sort of performance conversations should the leader have? How often? What is the leader’s role in these conversations? Saving up feedback for the annual performance review is not the answer.

Pursuing the Elusive High Performance TeamBen Thorp
We all remember being on "that team." The team that banded together through tight deadlines to deliver great products. The team that was a safe place for professional conflict. The team that went to lunch and happy hour together. The team that felt more like a family. Now, 20 years after Scrum was first introduced, why are these teams still so scarce? Can we intentionally reproduce those outcomes? This presentation will fill some of the (intentional) gaps left in Scrum by its creators by exploring the leading research on high performance teams.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
Sachpazis:Terzaghi Bearing Capacity Estimation in simple terms with Calculati...Dr.Costas Sachpazis
Terzaghi's soil bearing capacity theory, developed by Karl Terzaghi, is a fundamental principle in geotechnical engineering used to determine the bearing capacity of shallow foundations. This theory provides a method to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of soil, which is the maximum load per unit area that the soil can support without undergoing shear failure. The Calculation HTML Code included.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

Competence: respect differences in ability within the team. Understand where the team is at, what needs to be done to take it to the next stage as a whole?
Character: be yourself, reveal yourself and do what you know best for the team.
Communication: try motivate than argue. At the end of the day, everyone wants to finish meeting earlier and watch Netflix. If you usually speak, try listening, and show understanding and respect.
Collaboration: be agile, be prepared to change or be changed. You cannot succeed alone.
