Risk Type
Details of Risk
Ways to minimise risk
I will tape all of the wiring to the floor, and
make sure areas like lights and cameras are
free of any other equipment like bags and
clothing. The tape will be a bright colour to
warn people of the danger.
Making sure the lights are only on when we
are using them, this will minimise risk and
cost of lighting areas
Turning the lights off when they are not is
used. As well as warning people of their risk,
and checking that my actor is not too hot,
offering them water or time out of the shoot.
Person(s) Responsible
Tripping over wires
Due to using a camera and lighting there
is a lot of wire on the floor that can be
easily tripped over, there will also be plugs
and extensions.
Leaving lighting on
Electrical fire caused by overheating.
Leaving lighting on
As the lights are used more frequently
over a period of time they become hotter
and can cause a burn to the person
involved.
Damage to
equipment
With a lot of expensive equipment, there is
a lot that could break or become
damaged, especially when using water.
I will be making sure people do not take the
equipment for granted as well as checking
the equipment regularly. I will also have to
make sure everything is waterproof, or away
from the water.

Locations being
unavailable
I am using a number of locations to make
my video look authentic
I will ring any indoor locations and book in
advance to make sure they are available.

Batteries
If batteries are not charged then I will not
be able to film or record audio
I will charge up my batteries the night before
and make sure I have all the correct adaptors
and plugs

Interruptions from
members of public
Some of my areas are open to the public
and risk off interruption is high
Whilst filming I will have to make sure I am in
as much of a closed set as I can make it, and
otherwise work around the public, or put
signs up noting them that they may be filmed
Alfie Green
Weather
If it rains it could affect the filming if I need
to use lights
I am using a waterproof camera for any
outdoor shooting as I will be close to the sea,
so if it is raining or little light I may not be able
to film
Alfie Green
Clothing not fitting
or working
When filming I want to make sure that all
my clothing works well on camera
I will make my actor show me a number of
outfit options so that I can make sure the
clothing works on camera
Alfie Green
Actor availability
My actor is key to my music video working,
I will need to make sure she is available
I will keep in close contact with my actor so
that I know when they are free so we can film
