Location Information
In an actual advertising situation, aside
from the voiceover, the audio would
be captured on ‘set’ or location when
filming the advert for the video aspect
of the campaign. With the requisition
of some professional equipment
excellent quality sound could be
recorded for a small fee, especially if
hiring of rental sites such as fat llama.
Alternatively we would use a local
recording studio- such as the Absolute
Music Bournemouth service. As it’s
located nearby it would be very easy to
access in addition to their low
recording fees at £40 an hour. This is
an ideal price as it offers professional
grade equipment and audio gear that is
usually used on music/band recording
sessions. If we were creating a
complete advertising campaign and
recorded the short ‘scenes’/’clips’ of
audio on set then we would only use
this service for the voiceover, however
we may have just as easily recorded
the entire checklist of required audio in
the Absolute Music studio and later
dubbed the footage.
In reality, we can still record semi-
professional audio on location if we
are careful with the limited equipment
we have access to, however due to the
fact that we will not actually be
filming this campaign we can simply
record the remaining sound in the RSR
studio as it is would most likely
produce the best quality sound on site.
We may require permission to use the
RSR studio for our purposes, however
it should be easy to obtain and
certainly possible.

Evaluation
Looking at the feedback sheet from our client overall a successful pitch from the team's
performance, preparation and overall good ideas. A common suggestion from the client is
that the music for the lower school should be less dramatic (not do you hear the people sing)
but a music backing which relates more to the lower school. Another suggestion from the
client is the checking of legal terms/properties for the use of the backing track (Les
Miserable). I thought our team did really well in presentation of info (clear, slow and
precise), explaining information and overall accepting of suggestions from the client. If
having to change something about our presentation I would have one of the BTEC singers to
come in and give an example of what would be
