suitable?
(genre,

-Henley-on-
Thames
Park &
River
(outside my
house).
MeadowRoad,
Henley-on-Thames.
Yes, I
believe
thatthis
represents
an
everyday/
typical
setting for
a drama
genre film
as the park
is
something
youwould
see every
day and is
nothing
far-
fetched.
-Bedroom1
(house in
Henley-on
Thames). It
is a simple
teenage girl
bedroom.
MeadowRoad,
Henley-on-Thames.
I think that
this room
is perfect
for the
main
location of
the film
openingas
it is my
own room
and
everything
thatis
decorated
andset out
in there is
the way it
is set out
within my
everyday
life so it
should
seem
extremely
realistic
2. and
realistic to
the
audience.
-Bedroom2 Vale Head, Aislaby Road,
Stockton-on-Tees.
Again, this
is my
former
bedroom
so it is a
genuine
representa
-tionof a
teenage
girl’s
bedroom.
-Kitchen
(breakfast
area).
Vale Head, Aislaby Road,
Stockton-on-Tees.
I think that
this is
completely
suitable for
the
‘flashback’
part of the
film
opening
because it
is
completely
different
location to
the main
location so
it conveys
the
message to
the
audience
thatthis
shotis
meant to
be set in a
different
time.
-Bedroom3
(Amelia
Cox’s
house.)
Hinds House, Nunnery Lane,
Darlington.
As said in
the box
above, this
location is
completely
different
to the
main
location so
3. it should
be clear to
the
audience
thatthe
shot
happened
in a
different
time.
AccessIssues
Bedroom 1 is quite small, so sometimes I mightnot be able to get the exact
shot that I want as I can’tplace the camera there.
The path around thepark will be fineto walk on, however it may be quite
muddyand thereforepotentially slippy.
Lighting Issues
I cannotfind any issues with the lighting a part from I need to make surethe
lighting is continuousand the same within my filming when I am filming within
the same location.
When filming the establishing shots outside and by the river, there may be sun
rays which could shine into the camera lens. However, I am notbothered by this
and I think it could be effective.
SoundIssues(Ifapplicable)
There may be wind picked up by the microphonewhen I am filming outside but,
I think I am going to edit some ambient sound on top of the shot (birdstweeting
etc.) because even though I won’tget the general public in my shot, they may
still be heard.

6. Hazard:Animals/Plants
What could cause harm? Filming near the river could cause disruption to animalssuch as
ducks;also the sucks may interfere with the filming equipment.
Likelihood? Not likely
How much harm? Minor
How willthis risk be managed? Do notfilm too near anyhabitats/ homes. Be aware of the
wildlife at all times.
Hazard:Lone Working
What could cause harm? Filming near the river androadscould potentially be dangerous
and if anything were to happen to me, there may notbe a member of the public around
to help.
Likelihood? Not likely
How much harm? Could be major.
How willthis risk be managed? Do notfilm too near the edge of the river/on anyroads.
Also I will keep my phone on my at all times and make sure there is a member of the
public within sight.
Hazard:Weather
What could cause harm? It may be thunder and lightening whilst filming outdoorswith
electrical equipment.
Likelihood? It could happen.
How much harm? Could be major
How willthis risk be managed? Check the weather forecast before going out to film, and
take waterproof covers for security.
7. Hazard:Access
What could cause harm? There isn’t much space in some of the rooms for a tripod and
camera, so there willbe times where it has to be in awkward to reach places, so I can get
the shot. Getting to these places could be dangerous (falling off bedsetc.).
Likelihood? Quite likely
How much harm? Could be major
How willthis risk be managed? Make sure the rooms are clear on the floor where possible
to reduce the riskof this happening.
Hazard:Cables
What could cause harm? Cables from electricalequipmentin my room could be a trip
hazard
Likelihood? Quite likely
How much harm? Could be major
How willthis risk be managed? Clean andorganise the wires as much as possible and try
and out them to one side out of the way.
Hazard:Lighting
What could cause harm? The daymight be a really dull anddark day or it might be near
the end of the day, so it might be more difficult than usuallyto see where you are going
etc.
Likelihood? Not likely
How much harm? Could be major
How willthis risk be managed? Check the weather forecast before going out to film and
also see how many daylight hours are left.
