Hazard no: 1
Description Alcohol/drugs – Our production is based on the theme of teenage
drug/alcohol abuse, so this hazard is definitely one that needs to be
taken precaution on. Drugs and alcohol are to be present in the filming
of this production.
Person(s) exposed
(detail if cast/crew (C),
outside company (O) or
public (P) )
The cast and crew will be handling the drugs and alcohol, as they are
props within our production. The actor(s) used will also be exposed to
any drugs/alcohol on set and be acting along side them.
Action to take As this hazard is rated at a 5, it is clear that we need to take serious
action on this step. Instead of using real alcohol and drugs we will
instead use fake ‘prop’ drugs and alcohol, using glass bottles filled
with water instead of actual alcohol etc. We will also make sure to use
18+ cast where possible

Hazard no: 12 Risk Factor (1-5):
Description Lazar/Strobe effects – As our production is based on teenage
drinking/drug abuse and partying, we want to show the affects of this
lifestyle by using lighting such as possible strobe lighting or bright
lazars to create an almost ‘party’ scene.
Person(s) exposed
(detail if cast/crew (C),
outside company (O) or
public (P) )
The cast and crew will be exposed to the lighting affects whilst filming,
and the actor(s) used will also be exposed to any strobe lighting or
lazars and be ‘acting’ out a party scene amongst them.
Action to take As the full cast and crew will be exposed to the lighting affects it is
clear a precaution must be taken on them. In order to do so, we will
make sure any lighting affects that are used aren’t too strong that they
are harmful to anyone’s eyes – perhaps using a phone app and a dark
room to do so will be more affective than professional lighting. If any
members of the cast/crew are epileptic we will make sure that they are
out of sight of the lighting affects/avoid using them to an extreme
degree. A warning will be played at the beginning of our production in
order to avoid people getting hurt.

Hazard no: 14 Risk Factor (1-5):
Description Materials (glass, non-fire retardant set materials) – As we are to be
filming at Megan’s house some of the furniture is non-fire retardant
(e.g mattress). And glass is also to be used in some of our props (e.g
glass bottles)
Person(s) exposed
(detail if cast/crew (C),
outside company (O) or
public (P) )
The crew will be in the room with non-fire retardant materials, setting
up the scene and filming, as well as handling the glass, as it is to be
one of our props. The cast will also be filmed acting amongst non-fire
retardant materials, and also handling the glass, as that is a prop to
use.
Action to take In order to take action on this hazard we must take extra care when
using glass or non-fire retardant props/furniture. For example, no fires
will be lit in the making of our production and we will make sure those
in contact with glass are 16+.

Hazard no: 21 Risk Factor (1-5):
Description Smoking On Set – As our video is to be based on the theme of
teenage alcohol/drug abuse, we intend on featuring scenes of
smoking.
Person(s) exposed
(detail if cast/crew (C),
outside company (O) or
public (P) )
The actors will be the only ones exposed to the cigarette use, as they
are merely props. The crew will be handling the cigarettes from scene
to scene, when they are not in use etc.
Action to take We intend on using an 18+ actor who has given us their full consent to
smoke and be filmed. Thus, we will not be breaking any laws by using
a minor or using a non-smoker for a smoking scene.
