Rights- Things to which you are entitled or allowed and freedoms that are guaranteed. Each person is a moral and rational being who deserves to be treated with dignity. Duty is something you must do by virtue of your position and is a legal or moral obligation.

7. RIGHTS AND DUTIES ALWAYS GO
TOGETHER
• Rights and duties are closely related and cannot be separated from one
another. Both go side by side. These are the two sides of the same coin.
• Right of One is the Duty of Others.
8. RIGHT AND DUTIES OF PARENTS
• The Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallamhas laid stress on the rights of
parents
• To be obedient to parents and to show kindness to them.
• This shows that if a person obeys his parents and attends to their needs
and comforts and keeps them happy, he will attain Paradise. On the
other hand, if he is rude and disobedient to them and offends them by
ignoring their feelings or by causing them grief in any other way, his
place shall be in Hell.
9. RIGHT AND DUTIES OF RELATIVES
• Being a Muslim it is obligatory for you to keep good relation with
relatives. According to saying of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), we should
visit our relatives, inquire about their matters, spend on them and give
them sadaqa if they are poor.
• In religion Islamic term, ‘Silah-Rahimi’ is used to express ‘good
treatment towards the relatives’
10. RIGHT AND DUTIES OF CHILDREN
• Children have the rights to be fed, clothed, education and protected
until they reached to adulthood. These rights are for both girls and boys
there is no difference between their rights.
• Children’s responsibility is not only on father but also on mother.
• Parents should give a good name to their child.
11. RIGHT AND DUTIES OF HUSBAND AND
WIFE
• While Allah, the Almighty, has emphasized on marriage and disliked anyone
remaining single, He has also outlined the rights of the husband and wife.
• Holy Prophet (S.A.W) said:
• “Cursed, cursed is he who violates the rights of his wife.”
• Wife’s rights on her husband are that he should provide her with food and
clothes and not find fault with her. When he discharges these duties, I swear by
God, he has paid her due...”
• Husband’s right on his wife that she should treat with love and well dressed,
perfumed herself and offer herself to her husband.
12. RIGHT AND DUTIES OF NEIGHBORS
• Our duty to our neighbors include meeting the following:
• You must help him if he asks for your help
• Lend him if he needs a loan
• do not block his air by raising your building high without his permission
• You must visit (and take care of) him when he is ill
• You must attend his funeral when he dies (and take part in burial arrangements)
13. RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF POOR
• Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) brought the rights and
treatment of the poor which was the greatest reform in the society.
Muslims are obliged to look after the poor and needy people, and
required to spend of their wealth to help the poor out for the sake of
Allah Almighty.
• Almighty Allah will punish those on the Judgment Day who accumulate
their wealth without giving the due right to the poor and needy people.
• In order to eliminate poverty from the Islamic society, Islam imposes the
structure of Zakat. Allah Almighty commanded us to treat the resulting
problems stemming from poverty such as theft, murder, attacking
