Below are the key learning habits to success full revision. I want you to consider how many of
these you have used whilst undertaking your geography revision.
1. Reflectiveness
a. Planning: Working learning out in advance.
Have you created a plan?
Do you know when your exams are?
Have you built into your plan time for the things you enjoy?
b. Revising: Monitoring and adapting along the way
Have you checked that you have responded to the comments in your exercise book?
Have you made sure you have caught up on work missed?

c. Distilling: Drawing out the lessons from experience
Have you created revision notes?
Have you created mini tests?
Have you an overview on the topics on one sheet of A4?
Have you got 4 key facts for each case study?
d. Meta-learning: Understanding learning, and yourself as a learner.
How do you learn best?

2. Resourcefulness
a. Capitalising: Making good use of resources
Have you checked for revision help on the learning space?
Have you completed the work on showbie?
Have you checked the revision checklist sheet?
3. Resilience
a. Managing Distractions: Recognising and reducing interruptions
Have you left your phone in another room?
Have you turned off e-mail on your Ipad?
Have you turned off your music?
Make sure you have some water.
Get out of your seat every 20 mins but for no more than 4 mins.
