2. 1) Algeria Oman Fertilizer Company AOA Spa (SINCE 18.11.2015 to Till date)
The company; Algeria Oman Fertiliser Company (El Djazairia El Omanina Lil Asmida SPA) large-
scale fertiliser complex in Algeria's Arzew Industrial zone, near Oran, the country's second largest
city. It is the joint venture of Sonatrach and Oman's Suhail Bahwan Group, the facility is world's
largest fertiliser complex in a single phase. The project is located on the coastline in the industrial
area of Arzew, in western Algeria. Process technology Licenser is Haldor Topsoe, detail
engineering is done by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) in partnership with Korea's Daewoo
Engineering & Construction. Design capacity of Ammonia plant is 4,000 MTPD in two streams,
almost all of which will be converted into Urea having capacity of 7,000 MTPD.
Job Responsibility: Coordination of Ammonia plant Operation at Algeria Oman Fertilizer
Company AOA Spa, as Manager-Ammonia and responsible for conducting meeting with
process licenser, clients & vendors for implantation of project activities and coordinate
test operation with contractor. Develop excellent plant operation team for Smooth plant
operation, resource planning, gas management, energy optimization, people development.
It also includes resource planning, coordination with services department & plant
operating team for smooth plant operation, start-up, shutdown and emergency handling.

2) TATA CHEMICALS LIMITED (SINCE 17.11.93 to 06.04.95 and 30.07.98 to 04.11.2015)
The Tata Fertilizer complex at Babrala consists of a 2000 MTPD Ammonia Plant 2 x1750 MTPD of
Urea Plant and other related utilities plants including a 2 x 22 MW captive power plant The
Ammonia & Urea plants are based on Low energy Haldor-Topsoe and Snamprogetti technology
and the TDC 3000 Distributed Control & Emergency Shutdown system supplied by Tata
Honeywell Limited. The organization is awarded with low energy plant, ISO-9002,14001,OHSAS-
18001 & ISO-27001.
I was involved in Erection, Precommissioning & Commissioning of Ammonia plant in M/S
Indogulf fertilizer & chemicals, Jagdishpur Sultanpur, Tata chemicals, Babrala and Saudi
formaldehyde & chemical company, Al-Jubail Saudi-Arabia (KSA)
The works involved were:
1) Commissioning of underground Cooling water system
2) Commissioning of Steam system (KS, HS, LS) (including steam blowing)
3) Catalyst loading in various reactors
4) Loading of Packing & Installation of trays in Columns & Towers
5) Card board blasting / Hydro jetting of process pipelines
6) Refractory laying & dry out of Primary reformer refractory
7) Commissioning of Compressors, Turbines and other rotary equipment
8) Commissioning of fuel system for primary reformer (both NG/Naphtha)
9) Commissioning of Feed Naphtha & Mixed feed system (NG & Naphtha)
10) Errection commissioning of capacity augmentation of ammonia plant from 1520 to 2000
MT/day
In addition to the Main Ammonia plant, the Naphtha Pre Desulphurisation Unit and related Day
tanks, Purge Gas Recovery Unit (Cryogenic) was installed at TCL to enhance production. Involved
in the work related to Precommissioning & Commissioning of these units. . Now, the main
ammonia plant is being run on mixed feed (NG + Naphtha).
Job Responsibility: Presently I am working as Manager-Ammonia and responsible for smooth
plant operation ,resource planning, gas management,energy optomization, people development &
modifications for energy improvement. It also includes coordination with shift - Engineers for plant
operation, start-up, shutdown, emergency handling and online maintenance job with coordination
of services dept. The job responsibility also includes Carrying out safe, efficient & timely startup,
operation & shutdown activities of the ammonia plant. Controlling the plant operation through a
group of DCS supervisors & field operators and coordinating with other process / maintenance

cause analysis, FMEA, Bench marking, SPC and various quality tools and technique for energy

From 12.04.1995 to 28.07.1998
SFCCL is the prime manufacturer of Aq.formaldehyde, urea formaldehyde and diamethyle tetra
amine. I was fully involved in the precommissioning, commissioning, normal start up & shut
down and emergency handling of the plant and was responsible for entire shift performance,
leading shift personal in achieving production targets, assuring yield, maintaining product quality
and process parameter on DCS station. Scope of responsibility also included coordination with
various departments for effective shift operations, raw material procurement and dispatching finish
products.
4. Indo Gulf Fertilizers & chemicals corpn.Ltd.Jagdishpur Sultanpur.
From 15-11-1986 to 16-12-1993
I joined IGFCC Ltd. As Jr.operator trainee and trained in RCF Ltd.Trombay and Thal Ammonia
plant. Both plants are NG based steam reforming process designed by M/S Haldor Topsoe. After
completion of training I have worked in Jagdishpur Ammonia plant and was given independent
charge of control room. I have got good working experience with electronic mod-30 control system
with DCS pneumatic control system, data logger, event recorder & plant safety interlocks.
I was involved in pre-commissioning & commissioning of Ammonia / Purge gas recovery /
carbon - dia – oxide recovery plant which includes.
1. Catalyst loading/unloading of primary & secondary reformer.
2. Catalyst loading/unloading of synthesis converter, shift-converters, methanator and HDS
reactor.
3. Tower packing and inspection.
4. Dearator, BFW system and Waste heat boilers
5. Turbines, compressors and Pumps.
6. Blowing of steam and process gas lines.etc.
