Oil Sands Project (Phase 2) reporting to the Area Commissioning Lead. Supervision of all
Electrical Commissioning staff in the Extraction, Tank Farm, and Phase 1 to Phase 2
Interconnecting Pipe Rack areas of the plant (Silos). Overall construction budget for the capital
plant in these Silos would be approximately $1 Billion.
Interim Role (September 2013 to February 2014)
Employed as Electrical Commissioning Lead, Kearl Lake Oil Sands Project (Phase 2) reporting
to the Commissioning Manager for the Project. Technical responsibility for all Electrical

Employed as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, Kearl Lake Oil Sands Project. Reporting to

design and construction through an RFI process. Coordination of vendor commissioning
activity. Developing switching procedures for energizing major substation facilities (E-Houses).

the capital plant in the Phase 1 Project would be approximately $14 Billion.
Cutler-Hammer Engineering Services – Field Service Engineer
Responsibilities included troubleshooting, commissioning and warranty repairs on
switchboards, transformers, MCC’s, transfer switches and variable frequency drives.
- Commissioned three diesel fire pump controllers on the Sable Project – two pumps on
the Thebaud Platform and one on the Venture Platform.
- South Korea - refurbishing Cutler-Hammer 4.16kV and 13.8kV switchgear on an FPSO
vessel being constructed for the Terra Nova Project.
- Hibernia Platform – performing thermal imaging on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Goldboro Gas Plant – troubleshooting and warranty repairs on 4.16kV circuit breakers.
- Department of National Defence at CFB Halifax – upgrading trip units on 480V, 800
amp, shore power circuit breakers. Replaced trip units on Westinghouse DS breakers
with Cutler-Hammer solid state trip units.
- Halifax Casino – commissioning 20 Variable Frequency Drives that controlled fans, heat
wheels, and cooling water pumps associated with the building air handling and space
conditioning systems.

Project responsibilities included electrical commissioning of a 4,160 volt starter for a 400
HP hydraulic pump, and supervising the commissioning of a replacement starter, as the
original starter failed during start up by plant personnel.

rectify incompatibilities resulting from the grounding system employed on the

$9.8 million complex including offices, multi-purpose room, laboratories, live bird areas,

Project responsibilities included review the 120/208 Volt power distribution system in the
airport terminal facility, inspecting approximately 175 - 120/208 volt distribution panels,
verifying circuit breaker and branch feeder compatibility, installing load survey equipment
to diagnose transient voltage and harmonics issue, identifying all code deficiencies, and
preparing a categorized priority repair report with associated cost estimates.
