Decebal has 27 years of engineering experience in electrical power
design of high voltage primary substation and medium voltage secondary
substation, medium and low voltage distribution system for several
industries including power, military, oil, pharmaceutical, and pulp and
paper. His engineering lead experience includes control of design
budgets and schedules and coordination responsibilities of engineers,
designers and CAD operators for several projects. His engineering and
design experience includes single-line diagram, three line diagram, AC
and DC and motor control schematics, specifications for SEL
(Schweitzer) and Multilin (GE) relays, high, medium and low voltage
equipment including circuit breaker, switchgear, transformer, reactor,
motor control center, standby generator, UPS, VFD, power distribution,
lighting, grounding, lightning, communications and heat tracing. He has
performed power system analysis (load flow, short-circuit, arc flash,
coordination of protection, motor starting), coordination of insulation,
report writing, field data collection, construction observation, shop
drawing review and hazardous area boundaries determination. He has a
working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA and IEEE
Standards. He is also skilled in the use of electrical system computer
models using SKM (Dapper, Captor, A_Fault, Motor Starting, Harmonics
Mitigation) and ETAP programs, relay settings, and familiar with
AutoCAD.
