The aim of my questionnaire was to find out the target audience for my magazine, I also wanted to
find out the genre, price and how often magazines are wanted. I used a primary research technique
using questionnaires to find out this information first hand.

2. The Target Audience for a New Music Magazine
Overall these results have given me ideas that will help me create my music magazine. The genre of
the magazine will be predominantly RnB and Hip Hop although I may involve other genres. I will sell
the magazine in the price range of £1.51-£2.50 and will release it once a month as these were the
most popular choices from the questionnaire. The target audience for my magazine will be young
males and females between the ages of 16-25, although 60% of the people I asked would read
music magazines I may need to involve something new and different that would attract more
readers to the magazine.
