The document reports the results of a survey about music preferences. It includes pie charts and bar graphs showing that: 1) The survey included an even number of male and female respondents between the ages of 16-25; 2) Pop music was the most commonly listened to genre; 3) Respondents prefer watching music videos on MTV, Channel AKA, and KISS; 4) Performance-based videos are preferred over hybrid videos.

2. What Gender are you? In my questionnaire I asked 30 people in total. The pie chart shows that 15 males were asked and 15 females were asked. I specifically asked an even number of males and females so that I could get an reliable representation for audience feed back for my questionnaire.

3. How old are you? The bar chart shows the age range of the people I used in the audience questionnaire. From the bar chart you can see that 5 people under the age of 16 took part in the questionnaire, 7 people from ages 16 -18 took part,15 people from ages 19 -21 took part and 3 people from ages 22 -25 took part.

4. What Music Genres do you listen to? This bar graph shows the different music genre’s people listen to . 5 people stated that they listen to Hip Hop, 4 people stated they listen to R&B, 1 person stated they listen to Rock,8 people stated they listen to Pop,3 people stated they listen to Indie,4 people stated they listen to Rap and 2 people stated they listen to other music genres. From the bar graph it is evident that Pop is the most popular music genre listened to currently.

5. How do you consume music? The pie chart shows the different ways in which the participants of my survey consumer their music. From the pie chart it is evident that the most people that I questioned in my survey consume music on the internet. A quarter of the people consume music by listening to it on music channels and a third of people consume music by listening to the radio and online.

6. What music channels do you watch? This bar graph shows the different music channels watched by the people I surveyed. Looking at graph it is evident that MTV is the most watched music channel followed by Channel AKA. The least watched music channel is KERRANG. Looking at these results I think the best channels to play my music video on would be MTV,Channel AKA and KISS.

7. What type of music video do you enjoy? From the line graph it can depicted that audience prefer a performance based video as opposed to a hybrid type of video. Based on the feedback from this question i think that my music video will be performance based.

8. Do you like Pop Music? Looking at this pie chart it is evident that the audience I surveyed do enjoy Pop music as 46% answered yes to the question.Therfore the genre of my music video will be Pop as it is a commonly listened to music genre.

9. What sort of typical features would you expect to see in a Pop Video? The results from the graph show that the typical features audience would expect to see in a Pop music video would be bright lights and typical clothes. The graph also shows that audience are not keen on having just a male artist or just a female artist as the main protagonist of the video. Looking at the results from the graph, for my video I will use bright lights, typical clothes and instruments as audience expect to see them in a Pop video.

10. What sort of colours would you associate with Pop Video’s Looking at the graph audience would expect to see bright colours such as reds,pinks,blues ,greens ect in a Pop video . Audience however do not associate the colour black as much with Pop Video’s. In my video I will be incorporating bright colours as according to the audience I surveyed bright colours are associated with Pop videos.
