2. Having completed my primary audience research I can
come to a conclusion of on who our target audience are, I
handed out my questionnaires to ten people, I wanted an
equal test and a fair test so I decided to use five males
and five females making it ten individuals all together. I
also did two in depth interviews with a female and a male
at age of 17 and 19. The reason for doing only two in
depth interviews was because the time was very limited,

even though we could have had more accurate results I
decided not to do so. The 10 individuals were selected
randomly but we had to make sure it was fair by having
exact number of males and females.
3. In order to be more specific about each individual we
wanted to see whether the ethnicity would have a
significant difference in the taste of music genres and etc.
We asked two people being Asian, four being white and
four other people being black in ethnicity. Even though
the Ethnicity varies it doesn’t seem like the taste is
completely different for each ethnicity Since they were all
born in the UK they have grown up with listening to the

same music and watched the same music videos. Eight of
the ten individuals were from the age of twelve to
eighteen where s the remaining two were above
eighteen.
4. They only liked the genres of R&B and Hip Hop, this was
not surprising as this is the type of music that is currently
leading compared to pop, jazz and classical music. Six
people preferred Hip Hop where the rest said R&B. They
all also listened to music very often other than often or
sometimes. This tells us how much of an importance the
music industry has on people, in this case its teenagers
and young adults. Eight people use the internet to watch
and listen to music where as the remaining two watch it
on the TV, this would be Music channels. However they
all preferred to listen and watch through the internet.
5. The two most watched music channels were MTV and
4Music, however MTV had more viewers than 4Music.
Only half of the people thought the video was as
important as the track itself the other s didn’t. We asked
them if they wanted a music video to have a story line r
be narrative based and seven of them said yes where as
the remaining said no. Most of them also wanted the
music video to have special effects and animations, only
two of them didn’t mind.
