1. INTRO
• I've decided to do a magazine on the popular hip hop group/boyband Brock
Hampton, they have recently gained fame with their most recent album ginger
and so my magazine cover and double page spread attempts to show Brock
Hampton to masses as well as pandering to existing fans of the collective

2. FLAT PLAN
• These are a collection of magazines that I will be taking inspiration from these all have the exact same
genre and cover topics similar to my magazine we also will be covering similar topics
• Clash is a is a physical magazine and fader and shortlist are digital clash

3. RESEARCH
• I started my research by finding suitable pictures for my front
cover I had thought of using the first pic of Kevin abstract the
leader of Brock Hampton on a couch however I couldn't think
of any background to incorporate that would fit his sitting
position so I opted to using the picture below the couch picture
but I cut out a lot of it to fit standard double page spread
dimensions

4. RESEARCH 2
• I thought of using many pictures for my dps however many didn't
have a hospitable background for a primary image background swap
so I have chosen to use a picture with a fully white background that I
could incorporate

PRINT MAGAZINE THAT IS ACCESSIBLE IN STORES. THE PURPOSE IS TO INFORM
READERS ON UPCOMING SONGS AND NEWS ABOUT ARTISTS. ALLOWING
MORE UNKNOWN MUSIC TO REACH A WIDER AUDIENCE.
THIS IS AN EARLY IDEA ON MY FRONT COVER, IT FOLLOWS CONVENTIONS OF
PRINT MAGAZINES WITH COVER LINES ABOUT THE ARTICLES INSIDE AND A
PUG, THERE ARE NO PRIMARY IMAGES IN THIS DRAFT NOR A BARCODE OR
PRICE TAG, I WILL TRY TO INTEGRATE MORE PRIMARY IMAGES AND INCLUDE A
BARCODE AND PRICE TAG IN THE NEXT DRAFT.

6. • 1/12/19 I have used Silksworth running track during high noon the
brightest time of the day, as it makes for a better photo and follows the
aesthetic of my magazine I will do some editing and change the colour

7. • 1/12/19This is my 2nd draft of my double page spread, i have included a
barcode and my primary image has been integrated, edited both of the
images of the background and the model so the model can better be
blended into the background in the future this may change and there will
be an issue number to go with. And a catchy tagline.
• I had problems adding the cut out of Kevin onto the background image
of silks worth running course as I had to erase the existing running
course background. Due to the clothes Kevin is wearing it was difficult to
do with the magic wand and background eraser tool so I had to use the
eraser tool to meticulously erase the background around him, then I
could use the background eraser tool to take out the rest.

8. 10/12/19 This is my final draft of my front cover I have added an issue number and
another box of catchy text near the top. I have also taken inspiration from another
magazine called empire and have added the date and price of the mag into a letter
with space in the middle
