This research proposal examines the impact of integrating social media in language teaching and learning for students at KPTM Batu Pahat. The study aims to determine students' perceptions of using social media and identify which social media tools best facilitate language learning. A survey will be administered to students to gather data on the impact of social media on teaching and learning, students' views of social media in the classroom, and their use of social media as a learning tool. Results will be analyzed using frequency, mean, standard deviation and categorization to provide insight into effective social media integration for language instruction.

2. INTRODUCTION
 The use of information communication and Technology (ICT) in the education
especially in the tertiary level is vital.
 the widely use of media technology amongst colleges and universities nowadays
enhance the teaching and learning process
 it is essential for students and teachers to be exposed to the use of social media for
teaching and learning process.

3. BACKGROUND OF THE RESEARCH
 This research focuses on :-
• the impact of integrating social media in language teaching and learning of KPTM Batu
Pahat students.
• Students’ feedback and perception towards the implementation of social media as tool
of language learning.
• The medium/ types of social media which can facilitate students in language teaching
and learning.

4. PROBLEM STATEMENT
 Social media has become part of every day life to many people especially for
students and the use of social media among students is higher than others.
 Since there are various results on the role of social media in assisting students
in learning English, thus a study should be carried out in order to determine the
impacts of social media towards in language teaching and learning.
 the study is also important to identify the multiple uses of social media that
facilitates students’ language learning.
