Learning English through social media
is very beneficial for the students. The
integration of Social Media into ELL can
widen the vocabulary and improve the
skills of the students.
Foster (n.d) mentioned that activities
through social media allow learners to
practice English skills live with
trainer,teachers and friends. It also
provide platforms for people to be
innovative, creative and forward
thinking.
The benefits of using
Social Media in ELL
- Social media is one of the suitable platform to teach English especially for
the current generation.
- There are several challenges that affects the performance of the students
when learning using Social media. Therefore, this study hopefully can help to
determine some of the challenges to help teachers to improve their teaching.
- Social media is proven to give benefits to students in learning English and
assist them with their skills especially reading skills.
