1. RIHANNA – Loud Album Cover pop genre
The use of red and black is created to define the kind
of ‘bad girl’ this singer is as well as being seductive.
This indicates a close up image of her where the high
key lighting is contrasted around her face in contrast
with her hair that is very dark but the red balances
this. The rule of thirds and Guttenberg principle is
used. The first spot where the audience will identify
this would be at the terminal area. Usually, this has a
weak fallow but this area manipulates the viewers as
her lips are the main thing that the viewers would see.
The thin text below ‘loud’ is spaced out and has used a
white colour for it to stand out this is because the
word ‘loud’ gives us an idea of spread.
The CD is very pink and white which is very different
from the front cover. The used image is an opened
rose. This CD is edited with a higher balance and
contrast.
In this back cover is very
different from the front cover. In
the front cover she has a very
rebellious look whereas in this
back cover it’s more of a softer
look by wearing a white dress.
This back cover uses a very high
key lighting around her. The
text is yellow, very plain and
small as this cover is more
descriptive compared with most
of the albums.

2. Kings Of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak Cover rock genre
In contrast with their usual genre, this album is
very different as it has only used bright colors
with a soft black text in a high key lighting. The
picture in the middle indicates a soft yellow
blended with red painting of two birds facing
side outwards. The text is very formal and posh
positioned from the top and bottom. Also its
almost squ8eezing together with plain white
background left. I don’t think this image has
been following the Guttenberg principle and
rule of thirds.
This CD is very different compared with the
front cover. This CD is in the colour red which
suggests from the front cover that has blended
red which may mean this includes a mixture of
songs that may have different genres.
The background of the back cover is very similar
to the front cover. Again, this has used soft
colors where also the images include white
flowers. The text of the song list is very basic
where also the numbers on the side. The
position is very unique where this is at the left
side but is facing more on the right.

3. EMINEM – The Eminem Show Album Cover rap and hip hop genre
The colour of the image is very pure with the use
of red and black. The person wearing black is sat
on the stage behind the curtains with a black aura
around him as well as in front of him. The colors
are very dark which indicates that the album
mainly includes gloomy songs. The position of the
text is positioned above with a white colour. Its
also very bold and 3D like with black around and
the smaller text is spaced out. The Guttenberg
principle and rule of thirds is used, with the
viewers we would firstly recognize the text at the
top where the last thing we would see would be
the small sign of rating.
The image of the CD is faced in a high angle
where you can see the wooden floor with a
small proportion of the stage in red. This may
indicate from the performers perspective..
The background of the back cover is very
similar to the front cover which this was
after the performance where it is finished. In
this back cover you can see the list of the
songs that includes in the album in a white
colour similar to the big text from the front
cover. The text is more italic compared with
the main title. The position of the
background is moved to the side.
