PROJECT STORY
NH Arogyam Superspeciality Hospital
Rudrabhishek Infrastructure Trust (RIT), in joint venture
with Narayana Hrudayalaya Aarogyam Hospital (NH),
is building a multi-speciality hospital in Lucknow. It is
planned to be a 300-beded speciality hospital spread
over 1,93,000 sq. ft. It will provide medical services like
cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, neurosurgery,
orthopaedics, surgical gastroenterology, urology and
nephrology, etc.
REPL team is providing consulting on Architectural
Design, Structural Design Vetting, Services Design,
PMC and Marketing Advisory. Mr. Ashok Verma
(Structural Design) tells, “The project is divided into
8 floors including a single basement for parking and
services and other facilities divided into G+6 structure
above”. Ms. Archana Gupta (DGM- Architecture)
further adds, “It is a campus with a family-friendly feel
and playful interiors”. Notably, NH has recently come up
with the IPO that was listed well above its upper-price
band in NSE and BSE.

Launch of Smart City Indore
Upon invitation, REPL team participated in the event
and showcased our works for Smart City Bhopal. It
was inaugurated by Shri. M. Venkaiah Naidu (Hon’ble
Union Minister for Urban Development) and participated
by the Hon’ble CM-M.P. Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan,
along with leading industry representatives.
Focus was on areas such as Urban Transportation,
Water Supply & Waste Water Management, Solid Waste
Management and Green Buildings, etc. REPL was
represented by Mr. Ashok Verma (CEO - International
Operations), Mr. Shravan Govil (CEO - RFAPL)
and Mr. Abhinav Goyal (TL-Architecture).

a Golf Championship at Palms Golf Club and Resorts,
Shushant Golf City. 75 players of Lucknow Golf Club
competed for the title. Mr. P. N. Misra (CMD-New
Modern Buildwell) said, “Championship was a huge
success. We look forward to make it an annual event.”
REPL Cup 2016 (Season 2)
RTSE organised the second season of T-20 cricket
tournament to encourage young cricket talent at
Paarth Centre for Excellence in Cricket (P.C.E.C.)

8 teams played 15 matches in five days. Players got
the chance to get training from Senior Ranji and IPL

Mr. R.K. Sharma (GM - Infrastructure) made a

get to know about Mr. Pankaj Sharma in his own
words.
Me & Myself
I did my early schooling at Dehradun, Allahabad
and Lucknow. I completed my Masters in
Economics. Legal and Marketing subjects always
attracted me hence I completed my Bachelor of
Laws and Masters in Business Administration. I
belong to Lucknow but my professional career
made me to move out of Lucknow and I started
my career with the automobile sector and
subsequently moved to reputed engineering,
consumer durables, consumer electronics and
real estate companies. I travelled extensively
within India as well as overseas which helped me
to build my skills of observation and correlation.
Throughout the course of my career, I have
always been extremely dedicated and taken my
work very seriously. It was through this intense
focus that I was able to master my craft and
figure out what I was really good at.
My REPL Journey
When the offer for REPL, came I was working
with a real estate company. The challenge was to
start a new vertical of strategic marketing for real
estate. Resources were limited and challenges
were big. I had full faith in the leadership and
the team. It’s been an incredible adventure and a
wonderful experience, and I don’t regret a single
moment in this journey. I can only be grateful
and look forward to continually evolve, learn and
grow with the organisation.
My Vision for Organisation
The divisional team is disciplined, determined
and dedicated, and each team member
contributes to achieve set targets and goals.
With new projects lined up, I definitely feel the

from IIM (Kolkata). I can say, I am blessed with a
wonderful family.

Life is a roller coaster peppered with so many
unforgettable incidents, moments, landmarks
and events that naming one shall be too difficult.

I am transparent and I do my very best to share

ADVENTURE AT WORK!
It was the month of February in 1989, when I had
completed 21 days working with RITES and was
made its new DGM only five days back. I was also
appointed the Site In-Charge for a `25 crore worth Rail
Transportation Project for Tenughat Thermal Power
Project being built by Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited
in the erstwhile state of Bihar, now in Jharkhand. It
was a prestigious project which involved verifying the
proposed alignment in DPR, its actual site survey,
providing inputs to design office and quality assurance
of major earth work, minor/major bridges, etc.
It was my first visit to the area, and though known to
be trouble prone, the scenic beauty of the dense Sal
forests, hillocks and meandering rivulets awed me.
My survey team and I decided to go for a
reconnaissance survey of the proposed alignment,
covering about five kms. of the approximate 28 kms.
As we walked, after leaving our vehicle about 500
mts. away, a group of 12-14 people, armed with lathis
and spears, appeared suddenly from nowhere. It was
about 2:30 in the afternoon and we were stunned as
the nearest village was about 3-4 kilometres away. I
had a small five member team among whom, there
was one new junior engineer from South India, who
hardly communicated in Hindi.
After travelling for about 200 mts., the group was
joined by few more people, intimidating and ordering
us to follow them. Left with no choice, I asked my team
to keep their cool and not to feel afraid, though I was
equally terrified. I was also ridiculed by the mob when
they kept saying, “Bada angrej aya hai”.
Unaffected, I started talking to them to understand their
motive. They made us walk for about 5-6 kms. to their
tribal village, affected by poverty and unemployment.
Since we were very thirsty, I asked them to offer us
some water before we started talking. Even though
the people were very abusive, I kept my control and
confidence. One of the junior engineers almost fainted
thinking we all would be killed. Seeing his condition, I
reasoned with the group to set him free. It was lucky
for us that they considered and I understood the mob
could be won over. I realised that these people wanted
employment for their six boys. To this, I negotiated it to
three boys and the whole episode had a happy ending.
As it was already dark, they also escorted us to the
main road.
What I learnt that day, “It is not easy to be a leader
and leadership is not a copy book exercise and
every situation has different solutions.”

Globalisation has also precipitated many innovations,
one being, “aluminium framework systems” (MIVAN
System), which is used for mass housing construction.
This system of aluminium framework is a flat, durable,
cost-effective and also produces quality work.

• Walb and sales are cast in one operation

• Increased durability and higher seismic-resistant
• Less number of joints and reduced leakage
• Smooth finishing of walls and slabs

• Faster completion and negligible maintenance
Limitation
• Finishing lines are seen on the concrete surface
• Due to box-type construction, contraction cracks
are likely to appear
• Heat of hydration are high due to shear walls
• It is rigid in design. Once paced, any alteration
becomes tough later
