the real achievers. They also have the will to rise
above the opportunity missed and without delay
grab the next opportunity that comes their way –
for success belongs to the early starters. REPL
being an ardent believer of this thought, has
plethora of opportunities in store for you and the
onus lies on you to take these opportunities in
your stride!
While we work diligently for our clients, it is
also imperative that we work in unison as a
strong team and stand for one another not
just in times of need but as a norm. That is the
core spirit of teamwork. It is in times of tough
business environment that the true strength of
a team is tested. With the correct mindset, we
can overcome whatever comes our way and
can make way through it. You always create
opportunities, they don’t just happen. Usually
before any project goes onboard, we improvise
and brainstorm for ideas and find out different
ways to go forward with the execution. This
collaborative effort has created benchmarks
for REPL.
I would like to share an important recent
development. We have signed an MoU with
Chinese company JianYi Group for BIM & Big
Data Services. JiyanYi Group (www.chinabim.
com) is a conglomerate engaged in areas
covering s&t venture capital investment, smart
city, BIM cloud platform, real estate, etc. This
association will bring new opportunities for us in
terms of latest technological applications in real
estate and infrastructure.

PROJECT STORY
NH Arogyam Superspeciality Hospital
Rudrabhishek Infrastructure Trust (RIT), in joint venture
with Narayana Hrudayalaya Aarogyam Hospital (NH),
is building a multi-speciality hospital in Lucknow. It is
planned to be a 300-beded speciality hospital spread
over 1,93,000 sq. ft. It will provide medical services like
cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, neurosurgery,
orthopaedics, surgical gastroenterology, urology and
nephrology, etc.
REPL team is providing consulting on Architectural
Design, Structural Design Vetting, Services Design,
PMC and Marketing Advisory. Mr. Ashok Verma
(Structural Design) tells, “The project is divided into
8 floors including a single basement for parking and
services and other facilities divided into G+6 structure
above”. Ms. Archana Gupta (DGM- Architecture)
further adds, “It is a campus with a family-friendly feel
and playful interiors”. Notably, NH has recently come up
with the IPO that was listed well above its upper-price
band in NSE and BSE.
EVENTS
One Day Conference, Exhibition & Mega
Launch of Smart City Indore
Upon invitation, REPL team participated in the event
and showcased our works for Smart City Bhopal. It
was inaugurated by Shri. M. Venkaiah Naidu (Hon’ble
Union Minister for Urban Development) and participated
by the Hon’ble CM-M.P. Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan,
along with leading industry representatives.
Focus was on areas such as Urban Transportation,
Water Supply & Waste Water Management, Solid Waste
Management and Green Buildings, etc. REPL was
represented by Mr. Ashok Verma (CEO - International
Operations), Mr. Shravan Govil (CEO - RFAPL)
and Mr. Abhinav Goyal (TL-Architecture).
RHINO for Architecture 2.0
By the brand name Form Forge, REPL team organised
a 3-day workshop at Noida, attended by students and
professionals. Mr. Abhinav Goyal and Mr. Gajendra
Sharma conducted the training.

such as next of kin, contact address in case of
emergency, is an important record. This record is of
course available with the HR department but keeping
it updated all the time is an employee’s responsibility.
All employees are therefore requested to update the
HR Department if there has been a change in your
details as kept with the HR Department.
Golf Tournament
F-Crown, Lucknow’s first luxury designer homes by
New Modern Buildwell Pvt. Ltd. & Fashion T.V., hosted
a Golf Championship at Palms Golf Club and Resorts,
Shushant Golf City. 75 players of Lucknow Golf Club
competed for the title. Mr. P. N. Misra (CMD-New
Modern Buildwell) said, “Championship was a huge
success. We look forward to make it an annual event.”
REPL Cup 2016 (Season 2)
RTSE organised the second season of T-20 cricket
tournament to encourage young cricket talent at
Paarth Centre for Excellence in Cricket (P.C.E.C.)
ground, Paarth Republic, Lucknow. 120 cricketers of
8 teams played 15 matches in five days. Players got
the chance to get training from Senior Ranji and IPL
Players.
CII Delhi State Business Conference
Mr. Prabhakar Kumar represented REPL for the
conference held at IHC – Delhi. It was attended by
dignitaries such as Mr. Manish Sisodia (Dy. C.M.) and
Smt. Sheila Dikshit (former C.M.).
CII: Smart City Conference, Bhopal
Mr. R.K. Sharma (GM - Infrastructure) made a
presentation on REPL’s planned Smart City Bhopal. It
was attended by senior government officials, municipal
corporation, British High Commission delegates, etc.

KNOW YOUR LEADERS
In a series of “Know Your Leaders”, this time we
get to know about Mr. Pankaj Sharma in his own
words.
Me & Myself
I did my early schooling at Dehradun, Allahabad
and Lucknow. I completed my Masters in
Economics. Legal and Marketing subjects always
attracted me hence I completed my Bachelor of
Laws and Masters in Business Administration. I
belong to Lucknow but my professional career
made me to move out of Lucknow and I started
my career with the automobile sector and
subsequently moved to reputed engineering,
consumer durables, consumer electronics and
real estate companies. I travelled extensively
within India as well as overseas which helped me
to build my skills of observation and correlation.
Throughout the course of my career, I have
always been extremely dedicated and taken my
work very seriously. It was through this intense
focus that I was able to master my craft and
figure out what I was really good at.
My REPL Journey
When the offer for REPL, came I was working
with a real estate company. The challenge was to
start a new vertical of strategic marketing for real
estate. Resources were limited and challenges
were big. I had full faith in the leadership and
the team. It’s been an incredible adventure and a
wonderful experience, and I don’t regret a single
moment in this journey. I can only be grateful
and look forward to continually evolve, learn and
grow with the organisation.
My Vision for Organisation
The divisional team is disciplined, determined
and dedicated, and each team member
contributes to achieve set targets and goals.
With new projects lined up, I definitely feel the
growth of division is imminent.
I would like to see REPL, in the next few years to
be the most trusted and respected professional
service brand recognised by our clients and
prospective customers worldwide for delivering
excellence and providing world-class solutions.
My Family
I belong to Lucknow and my better-half is from
Delhi. My son is an engineer from BITS Mesra
and MBA from IIFT, New Delhi. My daughter is
a B.Tech. from DCE and is pursuing her MBA
from IIM (Kolkata). I can say, I am blessed with a
wonderful family.
My Memorable Events
Life is a roller coaster peppered with so many
unforgettable incidents, moments, landmarks
and events that naming one shall be too difficult.
Interesting Facts about Me
I am transparent and I do my very best to share
information with my team that they are supposed
to know. My team also reciprocates in the same
way. On personal front, I will just say that life is
a journey full of interesting anecdotes and there
are so many of these and we keep sharing these
once in a while.

BY THE PEOPLE, OF THE PEOPLE
ADVENTURE AT WORK!
It was the month of February in 1989, when I had
completed 21 days working with RITES and was
made its new DGM only five days back. I was also
appointed the Site In-Charge for a `25 crore worth Rail
Transportation Project for Tenughat Thermal Power
Project being built by Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited
in the erstwhile state of Bihar, now in Jharkhand. It
was a prestigious project which involved verifying the
proposed alignment in DPR, its actual site survey,
providing inputs to design office and quality assurance
of major earth work, minor/major bridges, etc.
It was my first visit to the area, and though known to
be trouble prone, the scenic beauty of the dense Sal
forests, hillocks and meandering rivulets awed me.
My survey team and I decided to go for a
reconnaissance survey of the proposed alignment,
covering about five kms. of the approximate 28 kms.
As we walked, after leaving our vehicle about 500
mts. away, a group of 12-14 people, armed with lathis
and spears, appeared suddenly from nowhere. It was
about 2:30 in the afternoon and we were stunned as
the nearest village was about 3-4 kilometres away. I
had a small five member team among whom, there
was one new junior engineer from South India, who
hardly communicated in Hindi.
After travelling for about 200 mts., the group was
joined by few more people, intimidating and ordering
us to follow them. Left with no choice, I asked my team
to keep their cool and not to feel afraid, though I was
equally terrified. I was also ridiculed by the mob when
they kept saying, “Bada angrej aya hai”.
Unaffected, I started talking to them to understand their
motive. They made us walk for about 5-6 kms. to their
tribal village, affected by poverty and unemployment.
Since we were very thirsty, I asked them to offer us
some water before we started talking. Even though
the people were very abusive, I kept my control and
confidence. One of the junior engineers almost fainted
thinking we all would be killed. Seeing his condition, I
reasoned with the group to set him free. It was lucky
for us that they considered and I understood the mob
could be won over. I realised that these people wanted
employment for their six boys. To this, I negotiated it to
three boys and the whole episode had a happy ending.
As it was already dark, they also escorted us to the
main road.
What I learnt that day, “It is not easy to be a leader
and leadership is not a copy book exercise and
every situation has different solutions.”

MIVAN Construction System
Globalisation has also precipitated many innovations,
one being, “aluminium framework systems” (MIVAN
System), which is used for mass housing construction.
This system of aluminium framework is a flat, durable,
cost-effective and also produces quality work.
Uses of Mivan Framework
•	 3S system of construction - speed strength and
safety
•	 Column and beam construction are eliminated
•	 Walb and sales are cast in one operation
•	 Specially designed, easy to handle, light weight
pre-engineered aluminium forms
•	 Fitting and erecting the portion of shuttering
Advantages
•	 Minor framework require relatively less labour
•	 Increased durability and higher seismic-resistant
•	 Less number of joints and reduced leakage
•	 Smooth finishing of walls and slabs
•	 Uniform quality of construction
•	 Faster completion and negligible maintenance
Limitation
•	 Finishing lines are seen on the concrete surface
•	 Due to box-type construction, contraction cracks
are likely to appear
•	 Heat of hydration are high due to shear walls
•	 It is rigid in design. Once paced, any alteration
becomes tough later

REPL being an ardent believer of this thought, has plethora of opportunities in store for you and the onus lies on you to take these opportunities in your stride! While we work diligently for our clients, it is also imperative that we work in unison as a strong team and stand for one another not just in times of need but as a norm. That is the core spirit of teamwork. It is in times of tough business environment that the true strength of a team is tested. With the correct mindset, we can overcome whatever comes our way and can make way through it. You always create opportunities, they don’t just happen. Usually before any project goes onboard, we improvise and brainstorm for ideas and find out different ways to go forward with the execution. This collaborative effort has created benchmarks for REPL. I would like to share an important recent development. We have signed an MoU with Chinese company JianYi Group for BIM & Big Data Services. JiyanYi Group (www.chinabim. com) is a conglomerate engaged in areas covering s&t venture capital investment, smart city, BIM cloud platform, real estate, etc. This association will bring new opportunities for us in terms of latest technological applications in real estate and infrastructure. MOVING AHEAD PROGRESSION PROJECT STORY NH Arogyam Superspeciality Hospital Rudrabhishek Infrastructure Trust (RIT), in joint venture with Narayana Hrudayalaya Aarogyam Hospital (NH), is building a multi-speciality hospital in Lucknow. It is planned to be a 300-beded speciality hospital spread over 1,93,000 sq. ft. It will provide medical services like cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, surgical gastroenterology, urology and nephrology, etc. REPL team is providing consulting on Architectural Design, Structural Design Vetting, Services Design, PMC and Marketing Advisory. Mr. Ashok Verma (Structural Design) tells, “The project is divided into 8 floors including a single basement for parking and services and other facilities divided into G+6 structure above”. Ms. Archana Gupta (DGM- Architecture) further adds, “It is a campus with a family-friendly feel and playful interiors”. Notably, NH has recently come up with the IPO that was listed well above its upper-price band in NSE and BSE. EVENTS One Day Conference, Exhibition & Mega Launch of Smart City Indore Upon invitation, REPL team participated in the event and showcased our works for Smart City Bhopal. It was inaugurated by Shri. M. Venkaiah Naidu (Hon’ble Union Minister for Urban Development) and participated by the Hon’ble CM-M.P. Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, along with leading industry representatives. Focus was on areas such as Urban Transportation, Water Supply & Waste Water Management, Solid Waste Management and Green Buildings, etc. REPL was represented by Mr. Ashok Verma (CEO - International Operations), Mr. Shravan Govil (CEO - RFAPL) and Mr. Abhinav Goyal (TL-Architecture). RHINO for Architecture 2.0 By the brand name Form Forge, REPL team organised a 3-day workshop at Noida, attended by students and professionals. Mr. Abhinav Goyal and Mr. Gajendra Sharma conducted the training. 3March 2016

PROGRESSION MOVING AHEAD Human Resource Section Message from Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Group Head – HR, Payroll & Administration An employee record covering his personal details such as next of kin, contact address in case of emergency, is an important record. This record is of course available with the HR department but keeping it updated all the time is an employee’s responsibility. All employees are therefore requested to update the HR Department if there has been a change in your details as kept with the HR Department. Golf Tournament F-Crown, Lucknow’s first luxury designer homes by New Modern Buildwell Pvt. Ltd. & Fashion T.V., hosted a Golf Championship at Palms Golf Club and Resorts, Shushant Golf City. 75 players of Lucknow Golf Club competed for the title. Mr. P. N. Misra (CMD-New Modern Buildwell) said, “Championship was a huge success. We look forward to make it an annual event.” REPL Cup 2016 (Season 2) RTSE organised the second season of T-20 cricket tournament to encourage young cricket talent at Paarth Centre for Excellence in Cricket (P.C.E.C.) ground, Paarth Republic, Lucknow. 120 cricketers of 8 teams played 15 matches in five days. Players got the chance to get training from Senior Ranji and IPL Players. CII Delhi State Business Conference Mr. Prabhakar Kumar represented REPL for the conference held at IHC – Delhi. It was attended by dignitaries such as Mr. Manish Sisodia (Dy. C.M.) and Smt. Sheila Dikshit (former C.M.). CII: Smart City Conference, Bhopal Mr. R.K. Sharma (GM - Infrastructure) made a presentation on REPL’s planned Smart City Bhopal. It was attended by senior government officials, municipal corporation, British High Commission delegates, etc. Employee Engagement/Benefit Initiatives • HR interactions were organised at Patparganj & Lucknow branches to address common queries of employees • Aadhar Card Camp was organised in Noida office • Fire Fighting & First AID training was organised at Noida office • Bank helpdesks (ICICI & HDFC) were arranged in Noida office Engage4
  • 5. PEOPLE MATTERS BY THE PEOPLE, OF THE PEOPLE KNOW YOUR LEADERS In a series of “Know Your Leaders”, this time we get to know about Mr. Pankaj Sharma in his own words. Me & Myself I did my early schooling at Dehradun, Allahabad and Lucknow. I completed my Masters in Economics. Legal and Marketing subjects always attracted me hence I completed my Bachelor of Laws and Masters in Business Administration. I belong to Lucknow but my professional career made me to move out of Lucknow and I started my career with the automobile sector and subsequently moved to reputed engineering, consumer durables, consumer electronics and real estate companies. I travelled extensively within India as well as overseas which helped me to build my skills of observation and correlation. Throughout the course of my career, I have always been extremely dedicated and taken my work very seriously. It was through this intense focus that I was able to master my craft and figure out what I was really good at. My REPL Journey When the offer for REPL, came I was working with a real estate company. The challenge was to start a new vertical of strategic marketing for real estate. Resources were limited and challenges were big. I had full faith in the leadership and the team. It’s been an incredible adventure and a wonderful experience, and I don’t regret a single moment in this journey. I can only be grateful and look forward to continually evolve, learn and grow with the organisation. My Vision for Organisation The divisional team is disciplined, determined and dedicated, and each team member contributes to achieve set targets and goals. With new projects lined up, I definitely feel the growth of division is imminent. I would like to see REPL, in the next few years to be the most trusted and respected professional service brand recognised by our clients and prospective customers worldwide for delivering excellence and providing world-class solutions. My Family I belong to Lucknow and my better-half is from Delhi. My son is an engineer from BITS Mesra and MBA from IIFT, New Delhi. My daughter is a B.Tech. from DCE and is pursuing her MBA from IIM (Kolkata). I can say, I am blessed with a wonderful family. My Memorable Events Life is a roller coaster peppered with so many unforgettable incidents, moments, landmarks and events that naming one shall be too difficult. Interesting Facts about Me I am transparent and I do my very best to share information with my team that they are supposed to know. My team also reciprocates in the same way. On personal front, I will just say that life is a journey full of interesting anecdotes and there are so many of these and we keep sharing these once in a while.   • 6. PEOPLE MATTERS BY THE PEOPLE, OF THE PEOPLE ADVENTURE AT WORK! It was the month of February in 1989, when I had completed 21 days working with RITES and was made its new DGM only five days back. I was also appointed the Site In-Charge for a `25 crore worth Rail Transportation Project for Tenughat Thermal Power Project being built by Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited in the erstwhile state of Bihar, now in Jharkhand. It was a prestigious project which involved verifying the proposed alignment in DPR, its actual site survey, providing inputs to design office and quality assurance of major earth work, minor/major bridges, etc. It was my first visit to the area, and though known to be trouble prone, the scenic beauty of the dense Sal forests, hillocks and meandering rivulets awed me. My survey team and I decided to go for a reconnaissance survey of the proposed alignment, covering about five kms. of the approximate 28 kms. As we walked, after leaving our vehicle about 500 mts. away, a group of 12-14 people, armed with lathis and spears, appeared suddenly from nowhere. It was about 2:30 in the afternoon and we were stunned as the nearest village was about 3-4 kilometres away. I had a small five member team among whom, there was one new junior engineer from South India, who hardly communicated in Hindi. After travelling for about 200 mts., the group was joined by few more people, intimidating and ordering us to follow them. Left with no choice, I asked my team to keep their cool and not to feel afraid, though I was equally terrified. I was also ridiculed by the mob when they kept saying, “Bada angrej aya hai”. Unaffected, I started talking to them to understand their motive. They made us walk for about 5-6 kms. to their tribal village, affected by poverty and unemployment. Since we were very thirsty, I asked them to offer us some water before we started talking. Even though the people were very abusive, I kept my control and confidence. One of the junior engineers almost fainted thinking we all would be killed. Seeing his condition, I reasoned with the group to set him free. It was lucky for us that they considered and I understood the mob could be won over. I realised that these people wanted employment for their six boys. To this, I negotiated it to three boys and the whole episode had a happy ending. As it was already dark, they also escorted us to the main road. What I learnt that day, “It is not easy to be a leader and leadership is not a copy book exercise and every situation has different solutions.” S.K.
