Recently, many industries have developed many applications in order to control the electric devices by users through smart phones via wireless links. The main disadvantage of these developed applications is that the users must switch between the APPs to control the electronic devices. Here, we use individual applications for each electronic device. In this paper, we are developing a single android application to control the electric devices using smart phone. Here, when a user raises her smart phone and point a device, automatically the control panel of that particular device pops out, further, we can control the device. In a smart home, electric devices such as plugs, televisions, lights, and air conditioners will be controlled using wireless communication capabilities (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or ZigBee).With the progress of smart phones and internet there are more new products available in the market that allow users to use smart phones as remote controllers. Existing smart home remote controllers require users to traverse device lists to find the right ones that they wish to control. This control fashion is the most effective way of controlling home or industrial appliances. The new Internet of Things paradigm allows for small devices with sensing, processing and communication capabilities to be designed, which enable the development of sensors, embedded devices and other ‘things’ ready to understand the environment. In this paper, a distributed framework based on the internet of things paradigm is proposed for monitoring human biomedical signals in activities involving physical exertion. The main advantages and novelties of the proposed system is the flexibility in computing the health application by using resources from available devices inside the body area network of the user. This proposed framework can be applied to other mobile environments, especially those where intensive data acquisition and high processing needs take place. Finally, we present a case study in order to validate our proposal that consists in monitoring footballers’ heart rates during a football match. The real-time data acquired by these devices presents a clear social objective of being able to predict not only situations of sudden death but also possible injuries.

It is widely used because of its simplicity and ability to modify to meet changes of needs. The project is designed to develop a robotic vehicle using android application for remote operation attached with wireless camera for monitoring purpose. The robot along with camera can wirelessly transmit real time video with night vision capabilities. This is kind of robot can be helpful for spying purpose in war fields. Now a day’s so many useful technologies are coming out to make our life style more comfort, luxurious and secure. Power is getting wasted with present regulators using for controlling fan speed as they are using resistive method and some regulators have come up with phase angle control method to save power, with these we can change fan speed up to 4 to 5 levels. but with advancement in technology now we can control the speed levels up to 10 and more also to give more comfort to different users.
In this project we will create an application to control the speed of the fan and to control some electrical appliances lights and water pump motors in home or office. Whenever we operate this application, it sends commands to our controlling system through blue tooth.
At controlling system side we have Bluetooth module, micro controller and load controlling circuits, zero cross detector circuit to help the speed controlling method. Whenever this blue tooth module receives command from android application then it transfers this command to micro controller. Micro controller will control the respective loads depends upon the command it received

Android Based E-Home
Abstract: Android based E-home is an application of embedded system which integrates Android operating system, Arduino controller and GSM for the implementation of Smart Home. Any Android device can act as a transmitting device. The user can control any appliance through an user friendly mobile application built in Android platform. A unique code for controlling each appliance installed with the system is assigned in the program and it is transmitted from the Android phone to the CPU installed in receiver, through the application, as Text messages. The GSM receiver in the CPU receives the text messages from the transmitting device and transfers it to the controller. The Controller decodes the message based on the decoding algorithm stated in the program and based on the command from the user; the controller sends signals to the switching circuitry. The Switching circuitry is the device which is in direct contact with the home appliances through wires and it controls the devices connected to it. Thus, by controlling the Switching circuitry, it is possible to control the various devices. Backward communication is also enabled when an event occurs in the mechanical switch. In this case, the GSM shield acts as a transmitter and sends a message to the user. Thus, ‘Android based E-Home’ provides a cost efficient, long range solution for the implementation of a smart home using less complex circuits and also provides an user friendly environment through the android app. There is no need for an extra hardware as the Android smart phone itself acts as a transmitter which in turn contributes to the cost efficiency, ease of access and efficient operation of the system.

- 1. Remotely Controlled Communication and Control System for Limited Mobility Individuals Abstract: There is a great deal of interest in furthering the capabilities of smart homes and intelligent environments. Our contribution to this research field is to create a system for use by individuals that may have temporary or permanent limitations in their mobility while they are recovering in the hospital as well as discuss open source options for a home version of the system for remote control of the environment as well as social interaction. There are several solutions available for the control of devices. Design improvements to a remotely controlled system for patients with limited mobility are described. Transition to an open source Android operating system is discussed for long-term use in the home environment. Prototype configurations for use in the hospital and home environment are introduced. Existing System: In existing system motion sensors were used to control devices by a limited mobility person. Since it has limited application we are using an android mobile for our applications. Proposed System: A system for controlling a room’s environment by a person with limited mobility and hand function is described with detailed analysis of design alternatives. The long-term goal is to reduce the anxiety of individuals with significant mobility limitations by providing them with communication and control capabilities. The proposed system uses Bluetooth as a communication medium between android mobile and the devices. The users with limited mobility can use their mobile to control the home devices. Atmel’s AT89C51 executes command received from the mobile through Bluetooth. The user can give input from the mobile to switch the devices ON or OFF. The android application has been developed to establish a connection with the control unit and mobiles Bluetooth. Devices will be controlled using electromechanical type relays by microcontroller.
